- Berrin Balay Tuncer and Önder M. Özdem's "ODTÜ Tarihi" (History of METU) will be screened between 27-28 June 2008. Preparations for an impressive three year duration of the film recounting the history of Middle East Technical University since 1956. Turkey also draws a picture. The documentary film Uygulama History of METU G prepared by the Audio-Visual Systems Research and Application Center (GISAM) within the Middle East Technical University (METU) will meet the audience between June 27-28. The film, directed by Berrin Balay Tuncer and Önder M. Özdem, aims to bring together the history and history of METU in its 50-year history. 'History of METU Tarihi prepared under the coordination of Bilgehan Ögel was held as a result of a team work that lasted for three years. The documentary, which is performed by oral history method, consists of two parts called Yil Bozkiri Yesertenler en and iri Zor Yillar (Hard Years). In the first episode titled lar Bozkiri Yesertenler k (1958-1963), the story follows the story of those who founded METU in the steppes of Ankara, which will be accepted shortly in the national and international arena. The second part of the film "Difficult Years" is taking place in university between rebellion and hope the audience takes time and the years 1964-1980 in the light of events looking at the history of Turkey. The film also witnesses the resignation of Kemal Kurdas, the rector of the period, against the wishes of the students who wanted to bury the US ambassador Comer's car by the students and the burial of METU student Taylan Özgür, who lost his life by the first unsolved murder of the 1968 movement. The film, which brings a new and unique look to this period in which METU's revolutionary and left history began to be written in the testimony of Rectors, faculty and students, can be obtained from GISAM.
- In collaboration with Metz Metropole agglomeration community, Yann Arthus Bertrand shot this short documentary video for tourism purposes of the city. The city features noteworthy buildings such as the Gothic Saint-Stephen Cathedral, the Roman Basilica of Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains, its Imperial Station Palace, or its Opera House, the oldest one working in France. Metz is home to some world-class venues including the Arsenal Concert Hall and the Centre Pompidou-Metz museum.
