- Desiderium lyrically charts the hapless loves of three brothers: Majid, the young handicapped brother with a deformed head who falls in love with Aghdas, a prostitute hired by his eldest brother Habib to entertain him, not knowing the truth about her profession. Karim, the middle brother is so infatuated with a quail that he almost completely ignores his wife and her emotions. Habib himself is in love with Foroogh, a tailor lady who lives with them, while his sense of responsibility about Majid keeps him from requiting her affections.
- Reza, the veteran worker of a print house whose sight is adversely affected because of his job, loses his mother. Finding the gloom reigning over the home beyond bearing, he departs to overcome his sorrows. He ends up at a hostel where he shares his room with a southern guy called Ahmad who has a group of orphan war-stricken children under his wing. After the initial inkling gives way to the friendship, Reza discovers that Ahmad's patron plies his trade in black-market. At the same time, Reza's sister is constantly beaten and humiliated by her husband for being infertile...
- Inspired by Iranian folk tales and reputed as the first Iranian musical movie, the film follows the story of the lazybones congenitally bald Hassan who is tricked out of the house by his mother. Then he learns about Chelgis, a girl kidnapped and kept by an ogre in his enchanted garden. Smitten by her beauty, Hassan tries to find a way to save her. In a public bathroom, he encounters his doppelganger. The doppelganger promises to fulfill his wishes in return for a fraction of his life. But when fulfilled, his wishes do not emerge the same he envisioned...
- Banafsheh, a young prostitute who has fled with a man to the seaside in hope of starting a new life has to return to her profession as she learns about the betrayal of her lover. Penniless and emotionally broken, she also has to bear with the taunts of the other girls and the threats of the roughneck patron of the house, Mammad who unfailingly refer to his dagger to consolidate his supremacy. In fact it was Mammad who ordered the man to rob Banafsheh of her money and abandon her. Banafsheh apparently has not learnt her lesson, as she trusts her next customer and falls in love with him. Her new lover , Abbas, is a truck driver who received his nickname for his habit of constantly lying, but it seems that he gives it a break when promises Banafsheh to get a house of their own...
- Just a few hours to his wedding, Amir, a lad from the south of Tehran, receives a call from his closest friend Habib who insist on meeting him to speak about an urgent issue. He rushes to Habib's works place and there listens to Habib's devastating claim that his future wife is not the sexually innocent girl he believed. In a mixture of rage and bafflement, he takes the bride to the wedding place and then departs to reveal the truth about her past. At the same time, a guy named Nekooyi, the owner of a broken company gets stabbed by his friend who seems to have an affair with his wife, Nasim. To get to the airport and leave the country they take a taxi, driven by nobody but the guy sought by Amir...
- Reza and Sadegh-Khan are old friends who are engaged in shady deeds. The next day after his wedding, Reza is arrested hauling the dead body of one of his friends. He is sentenced to jail. Years later, freed from the prison, he is now settled in a little town. A letter arrives from Sadegh to invite him back to the capital city in order to attend his son's wedding. In the letter, he also asked Reza to do him a favour. But in Tehran, Reza finds out this is just a trap set for his elimination as the only witness of Sadegh's dark past......
- Haji Agha is a traditional man who holds a hostile view of the motion pictures. Unbeknownst to him, his daughter and his son-in-law, Parviz, both are getting trained for acting. Their director is desperately looking for a subject, and Parviz suggest that they follow Haji Agha and clandestinely shoot him. Director likes the idea. Poori, Haji Agha's servant, who is also a member of the acting school snatches Haji Agha's watch. Haji Agha runs after him and the director shoots the following comic and surreal events of this chase...
- In one of his daily wanderings, Ghassem Siah, a young jobless guy who leads a street life, runs into a young American tourist girl who is spending her last day in Tehran. Without understanding each other's words, they strike up a friendship and the girl accepts to sleep with him. But Ghassem doesn't have a place of his own and the girl is to depart by the next morning. Together they set off on the glistening yet hostile streets of modernizing Tehran of the 70s, in a futile search of a corner of intimacy, while time is ticking away....
- Tehran, 1948. A young Jewish couple, Danial and his wife Munes, decide to immigrate to the recently founded state of Israel. But their application is rejected on the ground of the documents against Danial's uncle, Yaghub, how is suspected of betrayal. A Zionist agent, named Yezghel, finds out Yaghub's home and stabs him. One of Yaghub's neighbours who witnesses the crime is blamed for murder. Fearing for their lives, Munes and Danial escape to the north of Iran in order to leave the country. The Neighbour's brother, Nuri, a journalist, sets off on their heels to bring them to the court to give testimony on his brother's innocence. But Yezghel is also on a personal mission of seeking Danial and Munes. At the same time, a gang of Zionist gunmen are sent to gun down the witnesses and Nuri....
- This spoof of Kung Fu movies begins with Samad, the obtuse troublesome bumpkin boy, busted for the villagers' numerous complaints. Handcuffed to a rough drug smuggler, he is driven to the city by Sarkar Ostovar. They stop at the scene of a girl lying on the road who feigns her distraught and claims to be attacked. She in fact is the daughter of the man who, under the guise of a karate club, runs a drug dealing gang of which the arrested man is a member. The girl uses her karate skills to knock the police down, but she and the smuggler can not find the keys for the handcuffs and take Samad with themselves to the city, where they dump him in a theater showing Kung fu flicks. Immensely impressed by the endless action in the movie, Samad learns some fighting skills by watching it several times in a row. Back at the village, he begins teaching karate to villagers. Meanwhile Sarkar Ostvar coaxes Samad into going back to the city in order to collect some information for him.
- Ravaged physically and psychologically by the war, sergeant Rostam Darre Kalaye is retired to go back to his family in the northern part of Iran. During his long absence, his wife Golbakht and their son had to work in sergeant brother's auto service. Initially delighted by return of his husband, Golbakht gradually finds his husband a handful stranger. Sergeant hears from his old friend , a retired major sergeant, that his piece of land has been taken by Nasser khan. Sergeant is bent on retrieving what he believes to be still belonging to him, but aside from his son and friend, nobody stands by him and when begins to work in his land, he is harshly thrashed by Nasser's men. It's around the time The Soviet Union has opened its borders just before its downfall, and Golbakht's old mother, originally an immigrant from Caucasus decides to cross the borders to revisit her homeland. Golbakht that finds his silent husband beyond her tolerance decides to leave him and their son and accompany her mother...

- Kazem the middle-aged highly respected foreman of a factory falls in love with Zahra, the young daughter of one of his workers and marries her. From his previous marriage, failed because of his ex-wife's unfaithfulness, he has two sons, Aziz and Ja'far. Ja'far, who is in fact the result of his mother's liaison and therefore despised by his father, finds the occasion ripe for his vindictive plan against Kazem and Aziz. Taking advantage of Kazem's suspicious character, Ja'far suggests that something illicit is going on between his new wife and his son. In his conspiracy, Ja'far is assisted by Karim, the obtuse worker who is desiring Zahra and therefore holds a grudge against Kazem
- Ghalandar feels bothered by the suitors wooing for his sister Eshrat. But for a secret reason he does not want to marry her off. As a way out, he asks his trusted friend Sadegh to marry his sister, but warns him about making love with her. Sadegh tries to keep his promise, but when he leaves his wife immediately after the wedding ceremony for the capital, Eshrat follows and joins him and his mother. Unable to bear with the taunts of mother, Sadegh eventually breaks his oath and takes his legal wife to bed. Informed of this betrayal, Ghalandar waylays Sadegh at a dark night and stabs him to death. Eshrat, suspecting who is behind this murder, flees and joins a whorehouse, intent to exact her revenge by staining the name of his so-far respectable brother...
