Thuy Trang was born on December 14th of 1973 in Saigon, Vietnam. After the fall of Saigon in 1975 to Communist forces, her father who had fought in the Vietnam War, traveled to the United States to seek political asylum. However, his entire family, unable to follow, were left behind.
In 1979, Thuy and her family boarded a cargo ship with other refugees to travel to the United States. However, first they sailed to a detention camp in Hong Kong.
The family was finally reunited in California in 1980.
Thuy graduated from Banning High School and earned a scholarship to study civil engineering at UC Irvine.
After her father died from cancer In 1992, Thuy got interested in acting and, in 1993, got her first big break when she landed the role of Trini Kwan on the hit TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993). In 1994, Thuy left the show to pursue other projects.
After appearing in a video documentary called the Encyclopedia of Martial Arts: Hollywood Celebrities (1995), as an interviewee, and a cameo as a manicurist in Spy Hard (1996), Thuy got her next large role as Kali in The Crow: City of Angels (1996), the sequel to The Crow (1994).
Tragically, on September 3rd 2001, Thuy was a passenger in a car traveling on the I-5, that lost control. She suffered fatal injuries.
She leaves behind only a small body of work but, through them, she made an impact on many.

- Pauline Kael was born in Petaluma, CA, in 1919, and attended the University of California at Berkeley in the 1930s. She tried and failed to work as a playwright in her 20s, and began writing film reviews as a freelance writer for film journals in the 1950s. After success with national magazines in the 1960s and publishing her first book, "I Lost It At the Movies,", she became a film critic for The New Yorker in 1968, and wrote for that magazine until 1991. She published 13 books of her essays and criticism, and won the National Book Award in 1974, and wielded power and influence, even after retiring. She passed away on September 3, 2001.

Born May 13th 1932 in Croydon Surrey, Selfe was involved in the British film industry since the late 40s, but his most well known work was in 70s Brit exploitation films. He produced 'Sweet and Sexy', 'Under the Bed', was the cameraman for The Hot Girls (74) and supervised the 3-D scenes in Pete Walker's Four Dimensions of Greta (1972) and directed Can I Come Too? (1979) and the action comedy White Cargo (1973) which starred Sue Bond, 'Dave Prowse' and David Jason in an early film role. From the early to late seventies Selfe also ran several sex cinemas in London's West End, and in 1981 directed hardcore footage for the 'export' version of Emmanuelle in Soho (1981). A regular eighties employer was American producer Dick Randall who hired Selfe to edit Don't Open till Christmas (85), and direct Don't Scream it's Only a Movie (89) - a horror film compilation hosted by Vincent Price. Selfe later specialized in 'Hollywood Nostalgia' videos- made up from old (public domain) movie clips sometimes under the alias Roy Selfe, and was interviewed about his exploitation film past in the 1995 BBC documentary 'Doing Rude Things'.- Yoshirô Aoki was born on 20 September 1929 in Tokyo, Japan.
