William Devane, the movie and television actor, was born in Albany, New York, the son of Joseph Devane, who served as Franklin D. Roosevelt's chauffeur when he was Governor of New York. After graduating from New York City's American Academy of Dramatic Arts, he appeared on-stage. He finally made his Broadway debut in "The Watering Place" with Shirley Knight, a flop that lasted but one performance. (He was more successful with "The Chinese and Dr. Fish" during the 1970 season, which lasted three weeks. His sole Broadway directorial effort, the Vietnam War drama "G. R. Point," lasted for 32 performances in 1979 and brought Michael Jeter a 1979 Theatre World Award.)
He made his movie debut as a revolutionary in the independently produced In the Country (1967) and began appearing on series TV. He had a small but memorable part as the lawyer committed to free-enterprise in Robert Altman's masterpiece McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971) in 1971, but what made his reputation was his turn as President John F. Kennedy in the The Missiles of October (1974), a 1973 telefilm about the Cuban Missile Crisis. He made a bid for stardom with major roles in Alfred Hitchcock's Family Plot (1976) and John Schlesinger's Marathon Man (1976) (both 1976) and The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training (1977) (1977), as well as roles in Schlesinger's Yanks (1979) and the TV adaptation of James Jones' classic barracks drama From Here to Eternity (1979). However, any chances for a successful movie career essentially were doomed by the monumental failure of Schlesinger's comedy Honky Tonk Freeway (1981), one of the great flops its time, bringing in only $2 million at the box office against a $24 million budget. Devane moved over to nighttime series TV, playing the cad Greg Sumner on the night-time soap opera Knots Landing (1979) for 10 years.
Because of his resemblance to President Kennedy and his ability to master a Kennedyesque Boston accent, Devane continues to be in demand as politicians, including presidents, in such shows as The West Wing (1999), 24 (2001), and Stargate SG-1 (1997).- Actor

Charlayne Woodard's talent and versatility make her a true standout in the world of theater and beyond. With her fearless performances and captivating writing, she continues to captivate audiences and inspire the next generation of performers.- If ever there was an actor born to play a tough Irish cop, it was Ken Lynch, and he played so many of them in his long career that he could probably do it in his sleep. His suspicious manner, aggressive attitude, steely eyes and snarling voice broke down many a quavering suspect. He also played military officers, business executives and private eyes, and every so often he'd be a sheriff in a western, but it was as a street cop or detective that most people remember him.
Born in Albany, NY, he started his acting career in radio dramas, and after gaining experience there he headed to Los Angeles, making his film debut in 1950. He appeared in quite a few movies over his career, but he also did an enormous amount of television work, and that's where most probably remember seeing him, as he turned up on pretty much every cop show, detective show and private-eye series ever made (he even showed up in an episode of the Jackie Gleason comedy series The Honeymooners (1955)--as a tough Irish detective!).

This accomplished voice actress with an ear for accents, first made her mark on Jack Benny's radio program in the dual role of wisecracking, gum-chewing telephone operator Mabel Flapsaddle and Jack's plumber girlfriend Gladys. Brunette Sara Berner's real name was Lillian Herdan and she was born in Albany, New York, in January 1912. Her family moved to Oklahoma where she studied drama for two years at Tulsa University. Before she came to notice with the Major Bowes Amateur Hour on radio to embark on nationwide tours with their all-girl unit, Sara's instinctive talents sometimes got her into trouble -- such as being fired from an earlier job as a salesgirl at a Philadelphia department store for mimicking the customers. Of course, this turned out to be a blessing. Job offers in the entertainment industry abounded in the 1930's and 40's for those who possessed genuine talent, and, above all, versatility. As both a comedienne and a natural dialectician, Sara went on to earn five times the salary she would have made in retail. Her stock in trade were exaggerated ethnic dialects, her gallery of voices including Hillbilly, Yiddish (Mrs. Horowitz in "Life with Luigi"), Italian (Mrs. Mataratza on "The Jimmy Durante Show"), Spanish (Chiquita on the Gene Autry program), Greek, Polish and Armenian (to get the hang of this one, she resorted to telephoning assorted Armenian rug dealers!). By 1950, Sara had her own comedy detective series on network radio -- "Sara's Private Caper" -- as a former police secretary, turned sleuth. Sadly, despite the assemblage of a good supporting cast, the show flopped (then again, this was something even the great Mel Blanc had experienced four years earlier).
Beginning in 1933, Sara worked extensively in Hollywood -- primarily in animation -- though rarely receiving screen credit. She was particularly successful mimicking Katharine Hepburn's voice, which she first did to much acclaim on the "Eddie Cantor Show". This led to a spate of cartoon roles with Walt Disney (Mother Goose Goes Hollywood (1938)); Walter Lantz (Hollywood Bowl (1938)) and Leon Schlesinger at Warner Brothers (Daffy Duck in Hollywood (1938)). Perhaps her 'signature voice' from those years was that of Beaky Buzzard's Italian Mamma, first heard on The Bashful Buzzard (1945). That same year, she also voiced the cartoon mouse Jerry, dancing with Gene Kelly in Anchors Aweigh (1945). According to a 1949 news article -- shortly after the movie was broadcast -- Sara received a parcel with an assortment of cheeses from a Wisconsin admirer. Such can be the fringe benefits of fame.
Her subsequent work in animation encompassed providing the voices for Andy Panda and cartoon penguin Chilly Willy for Walter Lantz's studio. There was also regular work as a small-part supporting player in films and television. Sara repeated her Mabel role on The Jack Benny Program (1950). Other than that, she was destined to round off her career in no-name parts, cameos and walk-ons, most memorably as the dog-owning upstairs neighbour in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954). Sara made her final TV appearance in 1967 and died just two years later in Van Nuys, California, aged 57.- Additional Crew

- William Faulkner, one of the 20th century's most gifted novelists, wrote for the movies in part because he could not make enough money from his novels and short stories to support his growing number of dependants. The author of such acclaimed novels as "The Sound and the Fury" and "Absalom, Absalom!", Faulkner received official screen credits for just six theatrical releases, five of which were with director Howard Hawks. Faulkner received the Nobel Prize for Literature for 1949 and he received two Pulitzer Prizes, for "A Fable" in '1955 and "The Reivers", which was published shortly before he died in 1962.

Sonja Morgan is a television personality, fashion designer, and entrepreneur best known for appearing on The Real Housewives of New York City. Prior to joining the cast in 2010, Sonja had long been considered one of the most prominent "movers and shakers," beginning in the '80s as she balanced her studies at FIT with modeling around the globe. Sonja soon became a luxury brand consultant, and always had her finger on the pulse of the very best restaurants, hotels, and fashion. Restaurateur Sirio Maccioni of Le Cirque once said that "very few people have her talent in our business," and Esquire Magazine's John H. Mariani labeled her as "the straw that stirs the drink."
Having long been celebrated for her fashion taste in the New York society pages, and given her history working in the fashion world, Sonja debuted her fashion collection at New York Fashion Week in 2015. Sonja Morgan New York offers a wide variety of luxury fashions at an appealing price point. In 2017 she introduced her heritage brand shoe line, Sonja Morgan by French Sole, and the following year her empire expanded once again with the launch of Sonja by Sonja Morgan, a curated selection of affordable fashions and accessories all under $150.
It was Sonja's keen eye for business opportunities that led her to The Real Housewives of New York City. Though she initially declined to join the hit reality series when it launched, she signed on in season 3, and ever since has been lauded by viewers for her boisterous personality and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. She's been a member of the NBCUniversal family for over a decade, and is regularly asked to participate in advertising up-fronts, scripted comedies, commercials, and major motion pictures.
Her performing work has included her hit "caburlesque" show (a term coined by Sonja herself), a successful run in the Off-Broadway comedy Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, an appearance in Hulu's "Difficult People," and a performance at Improv Asylum. Behind the camera, Sonja has served as a producer on movies such as The Marsh, starring Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, and the 2018 film The Man in the Attic.
Sonja has long been an advocate for the arts, children, animals, and the LGBTQ community and since 1991 has worked with a wide variety of charities including New Yorkers for Children, The Princess Grace Foundation, ASPCA, and GLAAD. Sonja is often celebrated for her philanthropic contributions, going back to 1995 when she was honored at the St. Regis alongside Mira Sorvino and Vanessa Noel for her charity work as a young single woman.
It's Sonja's rich personal life that helps make her such a great fit for the hit reality franchise. As a young professional, Sonja broke off her six-year engagement with Italian Count PierFrancesco, who she lived with between Rome and Manhattan. For years the tabloids covered her escapades with famous and influential men, including Prince Albert of Monaco, comedian Richard Lewis, rock legend Eric Clapton, and tennis player John McEnroe. But it was with banker John Adams Morgan, descendant of financier J.P. Morgan and Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, that Sonja met her match. Their "merger" resulted in a successful, loving decade-long marriage and a beautiful daughter.- Writer

Jackson Murphy (a.k.a. Lights Camera Jackson) is a film critic, interviewer, host, producer, author, and media content entrepreneur.
Jackson began his career as a movie critic at the age of 7 1/2, sharing his reviews on an Upstate N.Y. radio station. A few years later he moved to TV, with a weekly movie reviews segment on NY's YNN network of affiliates. A March 2010 guest spot on "Fox and Friends", during which Jackson made his Oscar predictions, prompted the news/entertainment world to start taking notice (and, yes, he nailed all of his picks). In the summer of 2010 Murphy appeared on NBC's "Today" and then CBS's "The Early Show", following which he was signed as a contributing critic. In February 2011 Jackson made his first of two appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", again making his Oscar picks (and, again, he got them all correct). Along with his ongoing segments on "Today" and YNN, Jackson became a contributing critic on "The Morning Show" on Seven Net in Australia. He continues to make regular guest appearances on TV, radio and online shows, as well as at live events.
Jackson won his first NY Emmy Award in 2010, becoming the youngest winner in the (then) 53 years of that award. He is a 4-time NY Emmy nominee. In 2012 he became the youngest member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (now Critics Choice Association), appearing on the BFCA's "Critics Choice Movie Awards"(CW) in Jan. 2013.
Currently, Jackson is the film critic for 99.5 The River (Albany, NY) and Cultjer.com. He is also the lead writer for AnimationScoop.com, for which he interviews the top content creators in the world of animation. His podcasts include the LCJ Q&A Podcast and 2Fast/2Films, which he co-hosts with fellow film critic Mike Sargent. He also created/hosts the "Back To You" podcast, which is dedicated to "the greatest one season TV show of all-time".
