Anna Próchniak is a Polish actresses who became interested in ballet and contemporary dance at an early age and trained as a dancer until deciding to switch to theatre. She graduated from the acting department of the Lodz Film School. She has received several Polish and international awards including the Award for Best Debut (First Contact Festival in Torun) and the Award for Best Acting Duo (with Joanna Osyda - International Festival of Modern Drama "Kolyada-Plays" in Yekaterinburg) for her theatre debut in "Natasha's Dream" in Teatr Powszechny in Warsaw. On the big screen, Anna Próchniak made her debut with the role of Irmina in the film "Shameless" (dir. Filip Marczewski) for which she was nominated for The Golden Duck Award. The movie had it's international premiere at the 47th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2012. For the role of Kama in "Warsaw 44" (dir. Jan Komasa) she received the ELLE Rising Star Award at the 39th Gdynia Film Festival, the Piotr Lazarkiewicz Award for Young Talent during the Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles and a nomination for the Award of Zbyszek Cybulski. She starred in Oscar-nominated Anne Fontaine's movie, "The Innocents" which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and the Northern Irish film "Bad Day For the Cut" (dir. Chris Baugh) which premiered at the same festival the following year. Aleksander Bach was born as a son of a Polish photographer in Lublin, Poland. He emigrated with his parents to Germany in the early 80's. He attended to the Düsseldorf Institute for Music and Media where he graduated in Audio and Video Engineering, Dipl. Ing. (FH) in 2006. In parallel he studied piano at the Robert-Schumann University of Music in Düsseldorf in 2000-2006. Having independently shot several music videos and a music documentary in China and Japan, Aleksander took his post-graduate in Advertising Film at the acclaimed Baden-Württemberg/Ludwigsburg film academy in 2009. Between 2008 and 2011 Aleksander received several awards. Amongst others: the Cannes "YOUNG DIRECTOR AWARD" both in 2008 and 2009, the "NEW YORK FESTIVAL" in 2009 and the "ART DIRECTORS CLUB" in 2010. Anita Sokolowska is a Polish actress who graduated from the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz. She began her career on stage, debuting in "Sluby panienskie" and later gained recognition for her roles in "Król Lear" and "Hamlet". Singer Krzysztof Cugowski was born in 30 May 1950. He is the father of three sons. In 1969 he created one of today's most popular Polish bands "Budka Suflera". He recorded many popular songs. With "Budka Suflera" Cugowski played in New York's Carnaggie Hall in November 1999. Also sang with such vocalists as Garou or Gary Brooker (Procol Harum). Slawomir Grunberg is an Emmy Award winning documentary producer, director and cameraman is a graduate of the Polish Film School in Lodz. Born in Poland, he immigrated to the US in 1981 and has since directed and produced over 45 documentary films including: Still Life in Lodz, Don't Cry When I'm Gone, Karski & The Lords of Humanity, Shimon's Returns, Castaways, Santa Rosa, The Peretzniks, Portraits of Emotion, Coming Out in Poland, The Legacy of Jedwabne and Saved by Deportation. Grunberg's film School Prayer: A Community At War, screened on PBS, received an Emmy Award. It also won The Jan Karski Award, a competition designed to recognize and award outstanding television documentaries produced on the theme of moral courage. Grunberg is a recipient of Guggenheim Fellowship, the New York Foundation for the Arts and Soros Justice Media Fellowships. Alexandria Marty grew up in Lublin, Poland. Her interest in performing arts began in early childhood. As a young girl, she wrote poetry and performed in theater with "Nieprzetarty Szlak" (Untrodden Trail) a non-profit organization working with the disabled.
