John Howard Carpenter was born in Carthage, New York, to mother Milton Jean (Carter) and father Howard Ralph Carpenter. His family moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where his father, a professor, was head of the music department at Western Kentucky University. He attended Western Kentucky University and then USC film school in Los Angeles. He began making short films in 1962, and won an Academy Award for Best Live-Action Short Subject in 1970, for The Resurrection of Broncho Billy (1970), which he made while at USC. Carpenter formed a band in the mid-1970s called The Coupe de Villes, which included future directors Tommy Lee Wallace and Nick Castle. Since the 1970s, he has had numerous roles in the film industry including writer, actor, composer, producer, and director. After directing Dark Star (1974), he has helmed both classic horror films like Halloween (1978), The Fog (1980), and The Thing (1982), and noted sci-fi tales like Escape from New York (1981) and Starman (1984).- Actress in US and UK films of the early 1930s. Her husband passed away in 2012. She has thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and as of 2021, she was residing in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills, California.

Sound design and original music for a variety of educational documentaries and in 1994 composed music for his first film "Daniel Boone's Life in Missouri", produced by Innervision Studios in St. Louis, Missouri, and edited by Scott Betz. The feature "Defiance", directed by Doveed Linder, allowed MacMorran to showcase his skills at post-scoring for picture,and working alongside another composer/performer, Fred Early, who provided guitar and percussion tracks for "Defiance". - Born in Tennessee in 1899, harmonica player DeFord Bailey was the first black musician to appear on the Nashville-based WSM radio program "The Grand Ole Opry". He appeared regularly on the show from 1925-41. He played what was termed "black country music" or "string-band music" (although he called it it "black hillbilly music"), and often played blues or blues-flavored music. His signature song was "Pan-American Blues", a novelty number based on the sounds the famous freight train would make--and which Bailey imitated remarkably on his harp. He also recorded some blues tracks for RCA Victor in 1928.
Bailey left the Grand Ole Opry during World War II. He died in Nashville, TN, in 1982. - Howard was born in a rural upstate New York town of Carthage in 1967. Shortly after high school, He moved to Syracuse, NY where he enrolled in business school, and still resides today. While studying in Syracuse, Howard was attracted to the local arts scene where he has devoted a lot of his time. Howard Joined the SGLC (Syracuse Gay and Lesbian Chorus) in 1992, and still sings with them to this day. Howard also has commercial, local theater, choral, and film credits.
