Blanchett Pregnant with Third Child

Notes On A Scandal actress Cate Blanchett has put a stop to reports speculating about her expanding waistline - she's announced she is expecting her third child. The Aviator Oscar winner, 38, first sparked pregnancy rumors in October, when she stepped out to promote her latest film Elizabeth: The Golden Age in Rome, Italy, sporting a sexy new fuller figure. The star made the confession during a red-carpet appearance in Australia on Saturday, when she revealed she is four months pregnant - although she does not yet know the sex of the baby. She says, "It's early days yet. It's due in April." Blanchett already has two children with her husband, playwright Andrew Upton: six-year-old Dashiell and three-year-old Roman.

Low-Key Holmes Stuns Runners by Completing New York Marathon

Actress Katie Holmes wowed runners at the New York Marathon on Sunday when she joined them en route, unannounced. Wearing the number F127, a baseball cap, purple vest and black leggings, the Batman Begins star looked like any other runner on the 26.2 mile race route. But her anonymity ended when proud husband Tom Cruise - holding the couple's daughter Suri in his arms - insisted on a kiss as Holmes hit the final stretch of the marathon in Central Park. The actress completed the marathon with a final time of five hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds. Looking as fresh as she did when she started the marathon, superfit Holmes was overheard giggling, "Here I am baby, signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours," as she ran into her husband's arms at the finish line. Proud Cruise revealed, "She's very inspired. She trained for three months." Holmes wasn't the only celebrity taking part in the 2007 New York Marathon - former cyclist Lance Armstrong made a second trip to the big race, and beat his 2006 time by four minutes. He came in with a time of two hours, 46 minutes and 42 seconds - just under 40 minutes after Kenyan Martin Lel, who won the men's race.

'Dog' Chapman Sold Out by His Son

TV star Duane 'Dog' Chapman was exposed as a racist by his own son, after he sold a tape of the controversial conversation to a U.S. tabloid for cash. The star of reality TV show Dog The Bounty Hunter was heard referring to his son Tucker's girlfriend with racist and sexist epithets on an audiotape, which landed in the hands of editors at the National Enquirer. Chapman Snr. issued an apology for the racial slur on Thursday after bosses at A&E television suspended production on his reality series. But shortly after making his apology, it was revealed that Tucker was the person who made the tape public, pocketing himself "a lot of money" according to Chapman's lawyer. Attorney Brook Hart, adds, "I guess because of whatever level of anger he had of his father, he felt the need to express it in that manner. I have never seen anything that suggests (Duane) judges people by the color of their skin or racial background or anything but on their character. Duane lost his composure and made very, very inappropriate remarks, for which he truly regrets."

Butler Withdraws From 'Escape From New York' Remake

Scottish actor Gerard Butler has pulled out of upcoming remake Escape From New York due to "creative differences." Butler's casting in the update caused controversy earlier this year when Kurt Russell, the star of director John Carpenter's original 1981 movie, demanded an American, not a Scot, take on the role of Snake Plissken. Speaking earlier this year, Russell said, "When I was told, my initial reaction was, 'Oh man.' I do think that character was quintessentially one thing - and that's American."

LaBeouf Arrested for Trespassing

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Chicago, Illinois for trespassing in a discount store. The 21-year-old actor, who plays Harrison Ford's sidekick in the upcoming Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull adventure film, was taken into custody on Sunday morning after refusing to leave a Walgreens store at 2am, according to the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Details of his arrest remain hazy, but it appears LaBeouf refused to leave the store after security requests, and staff called the police. LaBeouf will appear in court on November 28.

Catholic League Boycotts 'Golden Compass'

Religious activists at the Catholic League are urging Christians to boycott Christmas family film The Golden Compass over fears kids seeing the movie will give up on God. The film, starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, is an adaptation of one of the stories from atheist author Philip Pullman's controversial His Dark Materials trilogy. And Catholic League officials fear children who watch the film will be tempted to read the books, which they claim "bash Christianity and promote atheism to kids." League president William Donohue tells America's Entertainment Weekly magazine, "Parents might be inclined to say, 'Hey, our kid really enjoyed the movie, why don't we buy him His Dark Materials for Christmas?' (It) introduces the kid to atheism. (It's) a stealth campaign." But writer/director Chris Weitz welcomes the criticism - the Catholic League also boycotted the movie adaptation of The Da Vinci Code, which went on to become one of 2006's biggest cinema hits. He says, "It will make more people see the film."

Aguilera Confirms Pregnancy

Christina Aguilera has finally confirmed reports she is expecting a baby with husband Jordan Bratman. The singer has previously refused to comment on the status of her bulging belly, despite her father Fausto Aguilera and her pal Paris Hilton letting slip about the 26-year-old's happy news earlier this year. The couple has also been spotted shopping at baby boutiques in Los Angeles on numerous occasions in recent weeks. But Aguilera, 26, has now spoken out for the first time about her excitement at impending motherhood, revealing to U.S. magazine Glamour that she is expecting in the New Year. When asked about her New Year's resolutions for 2008, Aguilera says, "That'll be about the time I enter into mommyhood, so... I'm hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!" And music executive Bratman is delighted at the prospect of becoming a father. She adds, "Oh, he's thrilled! He's just great." The baby will be a first for both Aguilera and Bratman, who married in November 2005.

Hilton Lands $1 Million for Lohan's New Year's Eve Bash

Paris Hilton has replaced former pal Lindsay Lohan as Las Vegas nightclub LAX's New Year's Eve good time girl - for a whopping $1 million. The socialite will end a tough year, which saw her spending time behind bars, and ring in 2008 with sister Nicky Hilton. And sources tell In Touch Weekly the 26-year-old heiress is being offered a cool $1 million to play hostess. Being paid to show her face is nothing new to Hilton - she reportedly earned more than $2 million just for sitting in the front row at designer Kira Plastinina's fashion show in Russia on Monday. One insider tells In Touch, "Paris is receiving the biggest payday ever for a one-night appearance in Vegas. Nobody draws a crowd like she does." Lohan was initially billed to host the LAX party, but she pulled out earlier this week citing post-rehab sobriety concerns.

Winehouse Defends MTV EMAs Performance

Amy Winehouse has defended her performance at Thursday's MTV European Music Awards - citing exhaustion for her bizarre behavior. The troubled star - who won the Artist's Choice award - mumbled through a performance of hit "Back To Black" at the ceremony in Munich, Germany, and appeared to have forgotten the song's lyrics. But Winehouse insists her busy schedule was to blame for her lackluster performance, after beginning a 27-date European tour last month. She also admits she only agreed to appear at the EMAs to please her family. Winehouse says, "I can't really be bothered going to perform but my family love these kinds of awards shows and watching me, so I'm doing it for them really. I'm knackered after my own gigs in Europe and was back in London chilling out when I got the call asking me to MTV. My family are so important to me that I agreed to do it for them."

Hudgens Demands Lawsuit To Be Dropped

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens denies she owes her former attorney $150,000 - and demands the lawsuit is dismissed by the courts. The actress is being sued by Brian Schall over claims he helped her earn more than $5 million by advancing her funds for her songwriting and recording career. The suit claims Hudgens "has paid some, but not all, of the money owed." But the 18-year-old denies she owes Schall money and contends the lawsuit against her has no merit, because she was just 16 when signed the contract. According to website Tmz.com, papers filed by Hudgens' lawyer Evan N. Spiegel state that California's Family Code "provides that the contract of a minor is voidable and may be disaffirmed before (age 18) or within a reasonable time afterward." A copy of a two-paragraph letter from Hudgens to Schall nullifying their agreement was provided with the court papers along with a copy her birth certificate to prove her age.

Jovovich Becomes a Mother

Actress Milla Jovovich has become a mother for the first time. The Resident Evil star, 31, gave birth to daughter Ever at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday. It is the first child for Jovovich and her fiance, English filmmaker Paul W.S. Anderson.
