Christie Brinkley's disgraced husband Peter Cook has issued a public apology to his wife after cheating on her with a teenager. In a statement issued by his attorney Norman Sheresky, yesterday, Cook breaks his silence about the scandal, which has ended his marriage to the supermodel, for the first time. According to New York Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams, who was among the first journalists to receive the statement, Cook writes, "I'm sorry. I'm contrite. I'm stupid. Foolish. No excuse." He adds, "I love my wife. I have loved her since the day I met her... For a lifetime, I've tried to prove how much I love her." Meanwhile, Sheresky states, "He got involved, in over his head somehow, and he wants to make it up to her for the rest of his life. He didn't invent adultery. He didn't invent the kind of person who would engage in it with him either. He hopes there's no divorce. If she wants one... it will not be nasty. She can have whatever she wants." Cook was disgraced when news of his affair with 19-year-old Diana Bianchi went public at the beginning of the month. Bianchi, a budding singer, has since come forward to confirm the romance.

Sculptors at Madame Tussaud's in New York have paid tribute to Hollywood's top family by recreating Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's baby Shiloh in wax to join her parents' likenesses in the famous museum. The wax tot lies before the star couple's figures in the famous "Pots & Pans Band" T-shirt she was photographed wearing in her first magazine cover shot for a new display. Madame Tussaud's bosses have even found the perfect soundtrack for the waxwork family scene - African lullabies. A statement from the museum adds Shiloh will sport "Mom's signature pouty lips and delicate features" and "will lie peacefully inside a woven bassinet" in her "very own African-themed nursery." Guests are encouraged to pose for a 'family photo' with the three figures, of which $1 per picture will be donated to the UN children's fund UNICEF. Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations. Shiloh - born in Namibia in May - is the first baby to be given a waxwork honor.

Gillian Anderson has confirmed she is pregnant with her new lover's baby, just three months after separating from second husband Julian Ozanne. The Emmy-nominated Bleak House star is expecting a child with Mark Griffiths, following the breakdown of her 18-month marriage. Anderson has an 11-year-old daughter, Piper, from her first marriage to movie art director Clyde Koltz. She split from documentary filmmaker Ozanne in April and has already moved in with British businessman Griffiths. Anderson's manager Corinne Freiberg says, "She is happy to announce that she is expecting her second child, due at the end of the year, with businessman Mark Griffiths."

British actor Ian McShane has hinted his villainous Deadwood character will be killed off when the gritty western series ends next year. The gruff Sexy Beast star has become the bar owner TV fans love to hate in his role as tough-talking Al Swearengen on the Wild West drama, but he doesn't think the character will survive the final shows. He says, "Deadwood burned down a couple of times before it finally burned down in 1899. That was the end of the Gold Rush town, as it was known. I'm told my character died in the stockyards in Denver. Who knows what David Milch (creator and writer) will come up with?"

Actress Mo'Nique was thrown off a plane after arguing with a flight attendant who the TV star alleges was racist towards her. The disagreement broke out after the 38-year-old's stylist stashed a hair dryer in a first class baggage locker. While the Phat Girlz actress was flying in luxury, her aide was in economy class. The flight attendant allegedly said to Mo'Nique, "Tell your people that the next time they have an attitude, they are being thrown off ... Since 9/11, we don't play around." The spat resulted in the small screen star - full name Mo'Nique Imes-Hicks - being escorted back to Chicago's O'Hare Airport where, according to the actress, a supervisor called local police. Mo'Nique tells the New York Daily News, "I felt like I was being treated like an animal. This happens to black people all the time, and they don't have a voice. It was humiliating." Jean Medina, a spokeswoman for United Airlines, says, "We regret Ms. Imes felt in any way that she was not treated with courtesy and respect. There was a confrontation involving a customer that caused the flight to be delayed. When a situation occurs on a flight that causes a delay, or disruption, we must act in the best interest of all our customers."

French actor Jean Reno will marry his long-term girlfriend, model Zofia Borucka, in Baux-de-Provence, near Marseille, on Saturday. Divorcee Reno, who turns 58 the following day and Borucka, 35, will wed in front of legendary singer Johnny Hallyday and French politician Nicolas Sarkozy, both of whom will act as his witnesses on the day. The Da Vinci Code star Reno owns a property in Maussane-les-Alpilles, nearby Baux-de-Provence, in the south of France. Baux-de-Provence's Mayor Jouve, who will marry the couple, explains, "Jean is a friend of mine. When he comes to Baux, he always come and visit me. We recently watched the World Cup final together."

Carmen Electra has sparked rumors she is dating Miami Vice star Jamie Foxx, after they were spotted leaving a New York City gig through the backdoor this week. The former Baywatch beauty announced her split from rocker husband Dave Navarro only last week, but she is already getting up close to Oscar winner Foxx at a secret Gnarls Barkley show at the Big Apple's Element venue. A source tells PageSix.com, "Jamie's arm was around Carmen More than once and whispers were exchanged several times. No one saw them kissing, but they left together out the back. It seemed like they were out on a date."

Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe was left red-faced on a US chat show on Monday night when actress Rosario Dawson quizzed him about his marriage plans. The actor was appearing on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show to promote new film John Tucker Must Die when Sin City star Dawson, who was also a guest, wanted information about his love life. Metcalfe was trying to play down his romance with British pop star Nadine Coyle on the show when Kimmel showed off the couple's cover shot and spread for OK! magazine. And when the chat show host quizzed the coy actor about his marriage plans, Dawson chipped in, "It says on the cover (of the magazine), 'They want to get married and have kids... It has quotation marks.'" Kimmel thanked eagle-eyed Dawson and continued to quiz Metcalfe about his plans to settle down.

The babysitting host of US TV's The Good Night Show has been fired after bosses discovered she had appeared in a series of spoof films advising young women how to keep their virginity. Melanie Martinez, the mother of a toddler, was the star of the beloved PBS learning program until producers discovered her past jobs included a role in the Technical Virgin videos. A PBS spokesman says, "PBS has determined the dialogue in this video is inappropriate for her role as a pre-school program host and may undermine her character's credibility with our audience."

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is set to play a jealous, dead ex in new movie How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiancee. The actress, who plays Gabrielle Solis in the hit TV series, will come back from the dead to haunt a psychic, played by Lake Bell, after the latter falls for the former's boyfriend. The 40-Year-Old Virgin star Paul Rudd will play the boyfriend stuck in the middle of the surreal love triangle.
