Alleged Farrell Stalker Files Lawsuit

Dessarae Bradford, the woman who confronted actor Colin Farrell on the The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday, has filed yet another lawsuit against the star. Bradford announced yesterday she had filed a $10 million lawsuit against the actor. She also filed suit in November 2004 and again in July 2005, accusing him of sexually harassing her. Both previous suits were dismissed. At a press conference in downtown Los Angeles, Bradford defended her presence on The Tonight Show, saying her intention was to serve Farrell with a subpoena. Bradford slammed Farrell for labeling her a "stalker," claiming that was part of the basis for her slander complaint against the star. She passed out copies of her self-published book, Colin Farrell: A Dark Twisted Puppy to the 10 journalists present at the media conference. She added, "Colin has hurt me so deeply, and I'm here to disparage the rumors and lies. I am not a stalker, and he's machete-chopped my name (in public)." On Friday, Farrell was granted a temporary restraining order against Bradford, after claiming he feared for the safety of his family. The restraining order is in effect until August 16, at which time a court hearing is set to allow Bradford to respond to Farrell's grievances.
Steely Dan Accuse Wilson of Plagiarism

Veteran rockers Steely Dan have accused Owen Wilson of plagiarizing their song "Cousin Dupree" for his new comedy movie You, Me And Dupree. In a letter posted on their website and addressed to Wilson's brother Luke, band members Donald Fagen and Walter Becker label Wilson's supposed rip-off of their 2001 Grammy-winning track as "uncool." They write: "Your brother has gotten himself mixed up with some pretty bad Hollywood schlockmeisters." Wilson plays slacker Dupree, who becomes an unwelcome guest of his pal Matt Dillon and his wife Kate Hudson - and Fagen and Becker draw parallels with their Randolph Dupree character, a traveling musician who "comes back home to plan (his) next move from the comfort of (his) Aunt Faye's couch." They continue: "When it came time to change the character's name so people wouldn't know what a rip the whole thing was, they didn't even bother to think up a new name for the guy."
'Project Runway' Controversy Exposed

Top reality TV show Project Runway has found a new "villain" after contestant Keith Michael was exposed as a plagiarist. Supermodel Heidi Klum, the star of the US show, hinted that one contestant was dismissed from the program for "something illegal" in interviews before the new season started earlier this month. And now it has come to light that Michael was so desperate to appear on the third season of Project Runway, he submitted designs that allegedly weren't his. Fashionistas at website TelevisionWithoutPity.com raised the alarm when they realized the wannabe designer's ideas on the show were almost identical to runway photos that had appeared on sites such as Elle.com and Style.com. The 34-year-old designer won the show's first fashion challenge. Klum is thrilled by the controversy: "We have a great villain. You always hope for something like that." But the disgraced designer insists he did nothing wrong. In an email to the Blogging Project Runway, Michael stated he had submitted five portfolios to the judges and the portfolio that has landed him in trouble was "a research assignment I did for a client in which I reviewed key fashion trends."
No More Nobu for De Niro?

Oscar-winner Robert De Niro may be looking to cash out his stake in celebrity sushi chain Nobu according to press reports in the US. The actor teamed up with famed sushi chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa to open sixteen locations of the posh eatery in cities such as South Beach, Florida, Malibu, California, Tokyo, Japan and Las Vegas, Nevada. Owners of the celebrity hot spot have been meeting with executives from chain companies such as Starwood Hotels and PF Chang's to help finance even further expansion. A source tells New York magazine part of the thinking between the partners is, "They've had a great run, and it wouldn't be such a bad idea to cash out." The company is estimated to be worth $250 million and De Niro is said to own approximately 30 per cent. Drew Nieporent, one of Nobu's original partners, claims he is unaware of any definite plans to sell saying, "I'm sure there have been discussions about some stuff, but there's a lot of generic stuff out there. It's possible."

I turned 50 and thought, 'Wow, I have more time so I'm going to try this radio stuff.' I find it fascinating." 'Survivor' Star Sent to Oklahoma Prison

Reality show winner Richard Hatch has been sent to a federal prison in Oklahoma to serve out part of his 51-month sentence for failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the first season of Survivor. The 45-year-old arrived last week at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City, after being held at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility in Massachusetts. It wasn't immediately clear why Hatch was moved or whether he will serve out the remainder of his sentence at the facility, which is a hub for prisoners transferring through the federal system. A federal jury convicted Hatch of failing to pay taxes on the Survivor prize money, as well as other income, in January. He was sentenced in May to 51 months in prison by a judge who said the reality TV star had repeatedly lied on the witness stand. According to his lawyer, Michael Minns, he would prefer to serve his sentence near family in Rhode Island or Florida. Minns says, "He should be in a camp. The camps are the most comfortable of the uncomfortable. They are still jails, but they get to see the sky and be outside. It's bad for Richard, who is an outdoor person."

A spokeswoman for the company, Susan Schonfeld, said thousands of mourners were expected to pay their final respects on the day, many dressed in Star Trek costumes. DiCaprio Saves Concertgoers
Leonardo DiCaprio came to the rescue of two wheelchair-bound fans caught in a crowd surge at a Madonna concert in New York City last week. Quadriplegic Francesco Clark, 28, had a front row seat at the Madison Square Garden gig, when fans lunging towards the pop superstar nearly knocked him out of his seat. Clark's friend Elisa Lipsky-Karasz tells PageSix.com, "He couldn't see anything because people were all standing around him. He tried to move to the front, but no one would budge, and nobody cared. Then the security guard came over and was being rude and told him to move. At that point, DiCaprio came over and said, 'Why don't you come sit with me and I'll just move over?'" Soon afterwards, the Titanic star moved another wheelchair user to a less raucous area next to his seat at the end of the stage's catwalk.

Soul star Lionel Richie is deeply "hurt" by continuing reports his daughter Nicole Richie is suffering an eating disorder. The 57-year-old confesses the constant speculation surrounding The Simple Life star's dramatic weight loss is draining and unnecessary as he has already discussed the problem with Nicole. He tells Access Hollywood, "I'll be honest with you, it hurts me more than it hurts her. I must tell you, I'm the basket case." The singer adds of their previous chats about her eating, "What are fathers for if you can't point the finger every once in a while. I think the good part of it is she is aware of it.... She has heard this all of her life from me, so this is just a continuation of the reminder." In the past the hitmaker has blamed himself for Nicole's alarming weight loss, claiming she is suffering from trauma and stress caused by his divorce.
Russell Replaces Rourke As 'Grind House' Killer
Kurt Russell has replaced Mickey Rourke as the sick killer in Quentin Tarantino's new horror film Grind House, according to internet reports. Rourke reportedly pulled out of the project earlier this month and Tarantino immediately went to Russell and asked him to play Stuntman Mike, a man terrorizing young girls in his portion of the new film, which will also feature a separate storyline shot by pal Robert Rodriguez. Internet website Moviehole.net reports the Poseidon star signed on for the role on Friday. Tarantino's section of Grind House, subtitled "Death Proof," will also feature Marilyn Manson's ex-girlfriend Rose McGowan and Kill Bill stuntwoman Zoe Bell in her first starring role.
