"If they talk to me in a year when I have worked off more of the baby weight, we'll see, but I've still got a couple of pounds to go," she said. 6 October 2009 4:00 PM, PDT

Jessica Biel and Jennifer Love Hewitt have previously expressed interest in starring in a "Wonder Woman" film, but according to ComicBookMovie, the role may have already gone to Beyonce. During a press junket, the singer/actress revealed that she will be meeting with "GI Joe" writers Stuart Beatti and David Elliot, and director John Moore (Max Payne) in a couple of months and that things will get going by mid-2010 for a late 2011 release. This isn't the first time we're hearing of Beyonce being considered for "Wonder Woman." Back in November of last year, she said: "I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?" Somewhere Kanye West is celebrating Warner Bros' choice to go with Beyonce. Click »

Video: A Real-Life Supervillain is Born

6 October 2009 3:00 PM, PDT

ComicBookMovie came across a video on YouTube that shows a guy who has decided to put together a device that will give him the ability to control fire. He attached it to his forearms and hands and can get a spark and flame going at a twitch of a finger. Watch the video below to see this real-life Pyro from the "X-Men" movies or the future Tony Stark. And even though he is playing with an extremely dangerous device and it says "stupid videos" at the bottom, don't expect him to burn himself. This demo actually goes smooth. The guy says that he'll be using his new toy during Halloween. I can only assume that he'll ring the doorbell and when people open the door with candy in their hands, he'll give them a face full of flames. Who wants one of these devices? Video: »

Tarantino's Next is Either a Western, Gangster Film, or Basterds Sequel

6 October 2009 2:00 PM, PDT

Quentin Tarantino recently revealed that he will definitely make a third "Kill Bill" movie, but he is waiting for ten years to pass after the second installment. Since "Kill Bill 2" was released in 2004, that would mean that "Kill Bill 3" would appear in theaters in 2014, at the earliest. That's still four years from now, which is why Tarantino is already planning a new project to undertake in order to keep himself busy until "Kill Bill 3." But he has yet to choose which film he will take on. During a press junket, Tarantino told Variety that he would like to do a "re-imagining" of a number of genres, including a Western or a 1920s to '30s "Pretty Boy Floyd" type gangster movie. Tarantino is also considering re-visiting the world of "Inglourious Basterds." He said that he has enough material for many more installments, including both a prequel and a sequel. »

Method Man Faces Prison Time for Tax Evasion

6 October 2009 1:00 PM, PDT

Method Man, a member of the platinum-selling rap group Wu-Tang Clan, has appeared in many movies, including "One Eight Seven", "Cop Land," "How High" and "Meet the Spartans." And just like other actors, he too has not been paying his taxes. The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Smith, surrendered to Staten Island officials this morning to face felony tax-evasion charges. He was seen covering his face with a book as he was led out of a police precinct on his way to his arraignment. Officials allege Smith didn't file New York State Income Tax Returns from 2004 through 2007, failing to pay $32,799 in personal income tax during that time. As a result, he faces a charge of repeated failure to file personal income and earnings tax, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison if convicted. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of failure to pay tax. Method Man »

6 October 2009 12:00 PM, PDT

UTA agency is now representing World Events Productions, who own the Us rights to "Voltron," that focuses on a band of five robot-lions (piloted by humans) that combine to form one giant warrior. A "Voltron" movie has already been set up with producer Charles Roven, and UTA is expected to help bring a writer aboard and begin shopping the projects to studios. The pitch is expected to include the idea that, unlike other toy brands, "Voltron" allows for human-centric stories. Police Break Up Darth Vader's Porn Film

6 October 2009 11:00 AM, PDT

Actor David Prowse, who played Darth Vader in "Star Wars," was interrupted by police officers during the filming of his new action thriller. According to Metro, the officers responded to a report that a porn film was being shot, but ended up walking into a scene that included dramatic dialogue and a bunch of fully-clothed actors. Apparently neighbors jumped to the wrong conclusion after seeing a camera and lighting equipment being taken into the bungalow home that was being used as a set. One film crew member said: "It was hilarious to see a bunch of policemen enter the bungalow expecting to see a porn film carrying on. When the officers saw two dressed actors talking, they looked quite disappointed. The curtain twitchers certainly have a vivid imagination." The movie is called "The Kindness of Strangers" and will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next year. »

What's Happening with Italian Job Sequel?

6 October 2009 9:00 AM, PDT

About a year ago, we caught up with producer Donald De Line to find out about the status of "The Italian Job" sequel. He said that he's had talks with Paramount Pictures and is hoping to get the film going within a year. De Line added that even though the cast doesn't have it in their contracts to return for the sequel, they have all expressed interest in reprising their roles. Well it's now a year later and there's still nothing happening. So ComingSoon got in touch with "Italian Job" director F. Gary Gray to see if he has heard anything. "I think it's really just about getting the material in the right place," he said. "Sequels are tough and you always want to top the original, and I think that's where the energy is being put into developing a script that is just as good, if not better, than the first. »

Warner Bros has Little Interest in The Flash Movie

6 October 2009 8:00 AM, PDT

Warner Bros is doing everything it can to develop movies based on DC Comics properties, but apparently not enough to actually greenlight any of them. Superman is pretty much dead, who knows what's happening with the third Batman film, nobody cares about a Wonder Woman film, and Justice League of America is a giant failure. That only leaves The Green Lantern and The Flash. We already know that Ryan Reynolds and director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) will have "The Green Lantern" film in theaters by June 17th, 2011, but what about The Flash? IGN caught up with producer Charles Roven, who had some bad news for fans of the character. "I was involved at one point with The Flash," he started. "And Warner Bros came to me and said, 'The work that you've been doing hasn't yet resulted in something that any of us, including the filmmaking team, feel could be greenlit as a movie. »

Kevin Smith Credits Marijuana with Saving his Career

6 October 2009 7:00 AM, PDT

Director Kevin Smith told the NY Post that Seth Rogen helped pull him out of a creative slump by introducing him to marijuana during the making of "Zack and Miri Make a Porno." Now that Smith is swamped with new projects (writing "Batman" comic and directing "A Pair of Dicks"), he credits that with lighting up three times per day. "I know you're supposed to tell kids not to do drugs, but, kids, do it! Do weed! Don't do the other stuff, but weed is good. What you want to do is what I did, build a movie empire and, at age 38, smoke it all away," he said. Smith added that he's "just not good" at directing his own stories anymore. "Judd Apatow is way better at being Kevin Smith now than Kevin Smith ever was. So Judd Apatow should do it for a while, and I should figure out something else, »

Mark Wahlberg to Star in Reykjavik Thriller Remake

6 October 2009 6:00 AM, PDT

Mark Wahlberg has come on board to star in "Reykjavik-Rotterdam," a remake of an Icelandic thriller that has been set up at Working Title. Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners) is penning the script, and Baltasar Kormakur is attached to helm the English-language redo. The plot centers on a security guard and former alcohol smuggler on the Iceland-Netherlands route who is tempted back into illicit business by a dubious friend after encountering financial problems. The original, which Oskar Jonasson directed, is Iceland's submission for this year's foreign-language Oscar race and won five of that country's film awards. The English version likely will be relocated to other places. Wahlberg and Guzikowski nearly worked together on "Prisoners," in which the actor was attached to star before producers decided to reconfigure the package without cast. That project, based on Guzikowski's script, centers on a small-town man who takes matters into his own hands after his daughter is kidnapped. »

Bruce Willis Talks Die Hard 5

5 October 2009 8:59 PM, PDT

While promoting his new "Surrogates" film, Bruce Willis was bombarded with questions about a possible fifth "Die Hard" installment. "I would love to do another one but they better get it done soon, what with the march of time and all that," he said. "I'm not getting any younger." There is a trend currently going on in Hollywood, where action stars are reprising their roles from twenty years ago. Harrison Ford appeared in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" at the age of 66 and is planning to get another installment going soon. Sylvester Stallone was 62 years-old when he picked up the bow and arrow for "Rambo 4", and he too is currently working on a fifth film. Willis is only 54 right now. If you compare him to both Ford and Stallone, he has another ten years before he can start talking about being too old. Regarding story ideas for the fifth "Die Hard, »
