When Pokémon Go first emerged, it became a global hit without precedent. The video game provided players with a unique experience, allowing them to come as close as possible to becoming Ash Ketchum in real time. The game has been a global phenomenon ever since its debut in 2016. It has endured in a very competitive market and is still attracting millions of players on a global scale. Now, Pokémon Go is still going strong, as the game is gearing up for its 10th anniversary, which is going to happen in a couple of years.
And while the Pokémon game has been successful, it seems that this special game won’t be ending anytime soon, thus evading the fate of the short-lived Wizards Unite game. Namely, in a talk with one of the executives at Niantic, it has been confirmed that we can expect Pokémon Go to stick around for at least one more decade,...

Here’s everything we know about The Terminal List Season 2 and beyond.
When will it shoot?

Taiwanese films are like a box of chocolate; you never know what you’re gonna get! Lost in Perfection is a slow burner that goes from exploring the latent ennui of a young urban woman stuck in a dead relationship to morphing into a black comedy dealing with an ‘unattractive femme fatale’ and finally turning into a revenge drama. All these segments are so nicely weaved together that uninteresting moments seldom arrive. The film with its three-word title feels like a slightly more accessible cousin of Decision to Leave, with its pacing and exploration of characters, at least in the beginning. It is only later on that the film picks up the pace and plunges us into an absurd plot, which might not be enjoyed by many, but if they can avoid the nitpicking, Lost in Perfection is a tale worthy of being heard.

“Have you eaten?”
It’s a simple yes or no question, but as Mama Sun (Michelle Yeoh) demonstrates in The Brothers Sun, food is a love language in many Asian cultures. Creators Byron Wu and Brad Falchuk’s series follows a Taiwanese matriarch and her sons Charles (Justin Chien) and Bruce (Sam Song Li), who lead a not-so-normal life in Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley. Despite their differences, the family usually finds time to share a meal together — in between all the dangerous gang affairs they’re embroiled in.
“You can’t tell an Asian story without food being involved, especially with family. There’s just no way to separate the two,” Wu told Netflix.
As Charles arrives from Taiwan and reacquaints himself with his family, food becomes that bridge. “They haven’t seen each other in such a long time, but over the meals it seems like that...

The sci-fi movies on this list are not all great works of art. They're not all "secretly great," not all misunderstood masterpieces, and they're certainly not all even "good." Some are! Some are merely fun. Some are bad but instructively so, movies whose bad-ness is thought-provoking. Some are even so bad, they circle back around to being incredibly entertaining.
Is "bad-ness" a lack of competence, or one of taste? As C.S. Lewis once wrote, labeling something negatively is an easy way out. "The distinction [between highbrow and lowbrow] is certainly used to allow us the satisfaction of despising certain authors and readers without imposing on us the labour of showing that they are bad," he wrote. He was talking about books, but his point still stands.
I steadfastly believe that it's worthwhile to watch "bad" movies. I believe we can learn a lot from them about our taste, about what works and what doesn't,...

Midi Z, the Taiwan-based Myanmar-born director whose career has expanded from no-budget documentaries and dramas to 2019 Cannes title “Nina Wu,” has wrapped “The Unseen Sister,” his first mainstream film in Mainland China.
As with “Nina Wu,” the protagonist is an actress successfully enduring various pressures and humiliations at work. But in “Unseen Sister” her artifice is threatened by an anonymous attempt to extort her and the sudden reappearance of her long-lost sister. The sister, who had been in Myanmar, brings with her incidents and revelations from the past as well as hints of a larger crisis linking the seemingly coincidental events of her return and the blackmail.
For the dual lead roles Z secured the services of rising Chinese actor Zhao Liying in the role of the actress and Xin Zhilei (“The Rescue” and Wong Kar-wai’s TV series “Blossoms Shanghai”) as her sister.

There was a cipher going on outside the Hip-Hop 50 Live show at Yankee Stadium. One woman took the mic, intently closing her eyes while focusing on her next bar. As I walked away, she rhymed an improvisational derivative of recuperate, before spitting “that’s not even a word, I just be sayin’ shit.” The line set an apropos tone for the day. Hip-hop was bore out of rule-shirking and boundless imagination — and it made its way to “the house that Ruth built” to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Police detective Wu Jie sits in her car down by the river holding her service pistol in her hand. Clearly distressed she places the gun below her chin, intent on taking her own life when she is interrupted by panicked youths who have found something along the shore. It is the body of a young Thai woman, one of the thousands of undocumented workers living in Taiwan. This was no accidental drowning, her body was horribly mutilated. A pattern emerges, someone is targeting foreign workers and leaving their mutilated bodies to be found by their employers, who won't report them to the police for fear of consequences. The American was the overwhelming favourite to win the final after pr oducing a sensational effort to get into the final. Fritz showed a high level of play during the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in Los Angeles before this event but lost to Yibing Wu in the final .

Taylor Fritz was playing against Yibing Wu in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown final in Los Angeles, but he lost the match.
It was a very entertaining final between Fritz and Wu and certainly a worthwhile final as both players played a really competitive match. The Chinese player was down for much of it, but he managed to win the match ultimately, which left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth of the highest-ranked American on the Atp Tour.
In many ways, this was the start of the US Open Tour for the American, who confirmed after the event that it was a more challenging event than just your regular exhibition. He needs to recover quickly and make his way to the East Coast.
"Yeah definitely. Because it’s not like an exhibition. So I’m going to go back home tonight and recover just like I’d recover from any tournament,...

Sabrina Wu’s family and friends didn’t really comprehend that they were starring in the raunchy comedy “Joy Ride” alongside Ashley Park, Stephanie Hsu and Sherry Colauntil until the movie hit theaters. Before then, the stand-up comic’s only Hollywood job was as a writer on Disney+’s “Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.” “I remember calling my dad and telling him I got the part,” Wu tells me. “This is verbatim what he said: ‘Sabrina, I can’t wait to show you my new car.’ It went right over his head because it was too bizarre.”
Like their character Deadeye, the 25-year-old Wu uses “they/them” pronouns. They asked that Deadeye not have a big coming-out scene about their gender identity. “I definitely begged them to do it that way because I don’t think this R-rated comedy needed a moment where I’m like, ‘Hey, guys, I’m nonbinary.

Mainland China, July 2021: Another day another online movie made its way to the massively popular video streaming platforms there to catch the roving eyes of the viewers looking for a quick fix. Produced by Henan Guanglan Culture and starring a bunch of unknown actors, at least outside of China anyway, Tencent Video's “Longmen Town Inn” or “Dragon Gate Town Inn” in Chinese, is one such production like many countless more.
