Tom Cruise is easily one of the biggest Hollywood stars of all time. Even though he has been in the industry for over four decades, he is still sought after by the best directors to star in their projects. The actor himself exerts his influence too, often to bring out the best in him, and his decisions have always paid off.
However, he does not always get his way, as Zack Snyder recently revealed. The director confessed that he wanted the Mission: Impossible actor to play a certain character in one of his films, but Cruise sought a different role.

Game of Thrones was one of the biggest shows on the air in the past decade. Based on A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin, the popularity of the show was so great that it became the biggest phenomenon of this century.
Adapted by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the show’s run came to an end in 2019. Unfortunately, the majority of the fans did not find the ending satisfactory, and the showrunners faced extreme backlash for some of their choices. However, Benioff’s run-in with Homeland Security at Lax was a sign that not everyone shared the majority’s opinion on the finale.

David S. Goyer knows a thing or two about how to make a good superhero movie. Not only is he responsible for writing the best superhero trilogy ever made, but he's also helped pen screenplays for "Batman Begins," "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance," "Man of Steel," and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Not for nothing, he also co-wrote the script for "Terminator: Dark Fate," a criminally underrated "Terminator" film that feels like a spiritual sibling to the superhero genre. This is to say, the man knows what he's talking about when it comes to supes and baddies. During a recent episode of the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast examining his entire career, he admitted that he was saying from the beginning what so many fans of DC Comics have been screaming for over a decade — chasing the high of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a really bad idea.

In a career-spanning interview on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, “Man of Steel” writer David S. Goyer agreed with host Joshua Horowitz that Warner Bros. should’ve developed a standalone Superman sequel with Henry Cavill instead of attempting to mount a cinematic universe with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The studio did so in order to compete with Marvel.
“I know the pressure we were getting from Warner Bros., which was, ‘We need our MCU! We need our MCU!’ And I was like let’s not run before we walk,” Goyer said. “The other thing that was difficult at the time was there was this revolving door of executives at Warner Bros. and DC. Every 18 months someone new would come in. We were just getting whiplash. Every new person was like, ‘We’re going to go bigger!'”
