In “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” our hero Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) is transported to a dimension where dozens of other Spider-heroes reside — or at least intersect like threads on a web.
There’s Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), the leader of this Spider Society. His right hand is Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman (Issa Rae), who shares the same superhero name as Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld). You won’t confuse them though, as each hero has his/her own distinct character design and animation style.

Long gone are the days where Oscar Isaac would earn a credit as Interesting Person #1. Now in his second outing as Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 – a character who first appeared in Marvel’s 2099 imprint – Isaac is ready to share the wealth. And considering the insane amount of Spider-People there are in the Spider-Verse, surely he can put in a good word for his pal Pedro Pascal.
Speaking with GQ, Oscar Isaac said he would like to have Pedro Pascal join the Spider-Verse, even sure he can help choose his character. “They’re so brilliant at finding the right person for the right character, but maybe Pedro Pascal [should join the cast]. Let’s find something for him. He should be a Spider-Person, like a cranky, old Spider-Person.” Although Pascal doesn’t have too many voice acting credits on his resume, he would surely give it his all. Come on, the guy nailed playing...

From Easter Eggs to cameos and crossovers, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse packs many exciting moments, including a mind-blowing Spider-Society led by Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099. The superhero character of Marvel Comics made his cinematic debut in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). This laid the foundation for his feature as a main character in Across the Spider-Verse. Spider-Man 2099’s strife with Miles Morales’ Spider-Man is at the heart of Across the Spider-Verse’s plot, as much as it sets an explosive tune for the third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. With a March 2024 release date, Beyond the Spider-Verse will tie up...

This post contains spoilers for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
In "Spider-Man: Scross the Spider-Verse," it's a year after Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) destroyed the collider that helped stabilize the Multiverse, and he must embrace the responsibilities of becoming Brooklyn's only Spider-Man. The kid does so with unbelievable dedication and gusto — perhaps a bit too much because as he stretches himself thin while balancing his public and private personas, the weight of his double life is taking a swift toll on him. To complicate matters, a new villain emerges in the scene, harboring a vendetta against Miles for a string of unfortunate reasons, forcing Miles to once again step up to the demanding mantle of balancing great power with even greater responsibility.
However, this new big bad, known as The Spot, turns out to be the least of Miles' problems. When Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) suddenly approaches him for a mission related to The Spot,...

The ending of “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” has as many threads as a spider’s web.
The superhero sequel ends on a major cliffhanger, which co-director Joaquim dos Santos likened to “The Empire Strikes Back” in an interview with SFX Magazine.
“We hope that it’s a satisfying tee-up for what’s coming in the third film, because you want people to be excited about what’s coming next,” co-director Kemp Powers added. “And it helps that we knew going in that this was part two of a three-part story. Since you already know that that third story is guaranteed, you can tackle it a bit differently. That being said, there’s a lot of key characters in this film, and there’s a story in this film that has an arc of its own that we needed to complete.”

Making her big-screen debut in the titular role of service animal “Gigi” is Allie, an adorable capuchin monkey. In the movie, Gigi is trained to assist Nate with his basic needs and helps him rediscover his sense of hope. Look for audiences to fall in love with Allie/Gigi when Roadside Attractions releases the film exclusively in theaters on Sept. 2, 2022.
