Kirk Lingenfelter
- Art Department
Kirk began and ended his film career in 1988 working on the horror movie The Dead Pit. Kirk was brought in to help with the miniature model making of Agnew's State Hospital where the zombie apocalypse concludes as the water tower explodes and crashes to the ground. Kirk also assisted in photographing and extrapolating building measurements to create the scale model. Kirk also did some on-site work at Agnew's for filming but his true love was model making and working with the art team on the west side of Santa Cruz through the wee hours of the night. Kirk received screen credit as a model maker for his work on The Dead Pit.
After The Dead Pit wrapped in 1988 Kirk (still holding down his day job) stayed with the art team to build props and sets for Shakespeare Santa Cruz production of Caesar and Titus Andronicus. When Shakespeare Santa Cruz ended Kirk was tempted to accompany the art team and director from The Dead Pit to begin their next project, Lawnmower Man. After much thought Kirk elected to stay with his day job and say farewell to the fast-pasted life of a stage and screen artist.
