Withering exasperation is not an emotion one usually expects to encounter at great length in a family film. But what else could John Krasinski have been seeking when he secured Ryan Reynolds to star as a sad clown in his mawkish new live-action fairy tale, If? Reynolds plays Cal, a New York City lump who’s saddled himself with the responsibility of looking after a cavalry of imaginary friends, a.k.a. fanciful cartoon critters forgotten by the children who dreamt them into existence. His handsome face swallowed by hangover stubble,...

Kendrick Lamar has been busy putting up an attack plan against Drake, and he just dropped another diss track titled Not Like Us. However, Lamar’s earlier track Meet the Grahams addressed each member of Drake’s family. The Poetic Justice singer struck a chord when he addressed a “baby girl,” suggesting that Drizzy has a secret daughter that he had been hiding from the public. Now, Drake reportedly swears on his career that Lamar’s allegations are false.

The Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud has escalated this year as the two rappers went back and forth replying and one-upping each other’s diss tracks. Things have never been the same since the duo collaborated on Drake’s 2011 album Take Care, and ever since Lamar threw shade at Drake in Big Sean’s Control, the two have been feuding over the years.
Before their feud, Kendrick Lamar was a part of Drake’s 2011 album Take Care
Things intensified this year as both have now committed to destroying each other’s reputations and careers with the release of their diss tracks simultaneously. With Lamar’s Euphoria and 6:16 in LA going on a full rant mode on Drake’s activities and career, the Toronto rapper has hit back with a more personal attack in his new diss track, questioning the parentage of Lamar’s children.

Kendrick Lamar and Drake traded diss tracks Friday night in the latest salvos in the rapper’s weeks-long lyrical feud.
Following a week that saw Lamar drop both the scathing “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA,” Drake finally responded Friday with “Family Matters,” which alleges infidelity in Lamar’s relationship. On the seven-minute track, Drake also hits back at some of the other rappers — Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, Future, A$AP Rocky, the Weeknd and more — that have provoked him lately:

Drake has also dissed his other rivals in the music industry, including A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Metro Boomin, Future, and Rick Ross.

The fight between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar continues to rage. While the war of words between them through diss tracks so far has caught the attention of the listeners, this time it’s personal.
After Kendrick Lamar released his new diss track ‘6:16 in LA’ earlier, both rappers dropped response tracks, one after the other, reports Variety.
Drake released ‘Family Matters’ and Lamar put out ‘Meet the Grahams’. Drake was first up with ‘Family Matters’, where things take a very personal turn. “You mentioned my seed now deal with his dad”, begins the Toronto native on his seven-minute track. “I gotta go bad, I gotta go bad.”
As per Variety, among the sprawling shots he takes at Lamar on the track, he guns for his foe and his relationship with his fiancee Whitney Alford.

Are Kendrick Lamar and Drake just going to keep dissing each other for the rest of their lives? Probably, yes. So here we go with another beef that began after the Canadian rapper dropped a seven-and-a-half-minute track Family Matters, in response to Lamar’s 6:16 in LA, which led the latter to have his last laugh with a new song Meet the Grahams.

Drake and Kendrick Lamar are two of the most popular and commended rappers in the music industry, and yet, they are also two of the most controversial ones. It’s probably a good thing Drake is taking a vacation.
No less than 30 minutes after Drake dropped his latest Kendrick Lamar diss track, “Family Matters,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper has returned the fire with “Meet the Grahams.”
“Dear Adonis, I’m sorry that that man is your father, let me be honest,” Lamar raps to begin the track, setting the stage for a deeply personal and vicious six-minute offering. Lamar proceeds to calls Drake a “master manipulator,” “with kinks of a nympho fetish,” who is hiding a secret daughter.
“And we gotta raise our daughters knowin’ there’s predators like him lurkin’/ Fuck a rap battle, he should die so all of these women can live with a purpose,” Lamar raps.
Lamar then addresses Drake’s alleged daughter directly: “Dear baby girl, I’m sorry that your father not active inside your world/ He don’t commit to much but his music,...

As /Film's resident wrestling obsessive, I've written quite a bit about how sports entertainment is a formative piece of how I process the media I consume, as well as waxing poetic about my appreciation for the Adonis and Venus mortals that walk amongst us on shows like "American Gladiator." I'm of the mindset that if a person must self-proclaim they are an expert, chances are, they are not. So while I will not claim to be an expert, I will say that my knowledge of cinema featuring pumped-up women and brawny babes is, uh, stronger than most.
Sure, there are plenty of films that feature swole ladies for a one-off visual gag or a background character, but there aren't many films that allow women who are jacked to the gills to take center stage. Sometimes, the films are specifically about these towering muscle mommies, and sometimes they're just action films...

Bruce Labruce has consistently stuck two middle fingers up at the status quo ever since he and G.B. Jones first began churning out queer punk zines and experimental movies in the late ’80s. As his directing career progressed from a Toronto basement to film festivals and beyond, the co-father of Queercore put those two middle fingers — and the other eight as well — to increasingly subversive use.
Films like “The Raspberry Reich,” “Otto, Or Up with Dead People,” and “L.A. Zombie” (which was banned by Australian censors in 2010) pushed the envelope with their explicit blend of taboo-busting sex and violence. Twincest, amputee fetishism, zombie porn… Nothing’s off the table for one of cinema’s most daring provocateurs, and that’s true again of his latest feature, “The Visitor,” which started out as a London art exhibition before washing up on German shores to premiere as a film in this year’s Berlinale.

Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone remembered his ‘Rocky’ co-star Carl Weathers, who reportedly died of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease in his sleep at the age of 76 on February 1. Stallone, 77, detailed Weathers’ audition for ‘Rocky’ to Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show’, reports ‘People’ magazine.
He revealed how the late actor landed the role of Apollo Creed in the popular film franchise. The ‘Rambo’ star told Fallon that his death was “shocking” and described him as “magnificent” before recalling when Weathers, who was still playing for the Oakland Raiders at the time, auditioned in the mid 1970s.
“Rocky was a compilation of really great actors, almost born to play those parts,” Stallone said. “I couldn’t fill that spot (for Apollo Creed) because it required incredible athleticism, brains, spirit, talent, speed. (Weathers) had it all. I mean, he had it all”.

Sorry About Your Wife, Reuben: Filmmaker John Hamburg Looks Back on 20 Years with ‘Along Came Polly’
It’s been 20 years since senior Model Un delegate Polly Prince wandered back into the life of unlucky-in-love insurance adjuster Reuben Feffer.
Jennifer Aniston charmed the pants off Ben Stiller’s persnickety everyman as the chaotically seductive title character in “Along Came Polly”: filmmaker John Hamburg’s raunchy odd coupling about a New Yorker who catches his wife (a perfectly loath-able Debra Messing) cheating on him with a scuba instructor (a hysterical and jacked Hank Azaria) during their tropical honeymoon. Back in the city, with the misguided help of his friend and former child star Sandy Lyle (the late Philip Seymour Hoffman at his funniest), Reuben runs into blast from the past Polly, who may or may not be the real love of his life, just two weeks later.

I joined Outlier Society as president and became Michael B. Jordan’s producing partner after serving as president of production at Paramount Pictures. When I arrived at Outlier, the Creed III team was already in development on the script from a story by the franchise’s originator, the incomparable Ryan Coogler, to be written by King Richard Oscar nominee Zach Baylin and Keenan Coogler, Ryan’s brother. While I was of course excited to support Michael in his directorial debut and produce this film alongside Michael and Ryan, another great joy for me was reuniting with producer Irwin Winkler, with whom I had worked over many years and films in my Paramount days and who won the Oscar for best picture with Rocky.

Sporting events captivate viewers everywhere, whether they are showing a competition or an athlete doing the impossible, but enticing an audience through a sports film in the same way can be a difficult task. It’s up to the cinematographers to bring a unique point of view that will highlight the tension and drama, and put viewers on the edge of their seats.

Composer Joseph Shirley has experienced a lot of success over the last couple of years, including writing the scores for Star Wars shows “The Book of Boba Fett” and Season 3 of “The Mandalorian.” But composing music for “Creed III” was a “full circle moment,” Shirley tells Gold Derby in an exclusive video interview because he had worked alongside composer Ludwig Goransson on the first two “Creed” films as an assistant.
“What we wanted to do with ‘Creed III’ was to build out its texture and flavor and sound in the score that, at times, maybe is self-referential to other ‘Creed’ movies but still takes a step forward in pushing that that ‘Creed’ sound along,” Shirley says.
The third film in the blockbuster “Rocky” franchise included many firsts beyond just Shirley’s ascendance to the title of composer. “Creed III” marked the directorial debut of star Michael B. Jordan and is...

“Creed III” cinematographer Kramer Morgenthau knew Michael B. Jordan had the mind of a filmmaker from their first collaboration together, the 2018 HBO film “Fahrenheit 451.”
“Even back then he had a very strong interest in the camera and cinematography and filmmaking,” Morgenthau tells Gold Derby in an exclusive video interview.
But after working together as cinematographer and actor on “Creed 2,” the pair took their collaborative relationship to the next level with “Creed III.” The boxing drama was Jordan’s directorial debut, and he enlisted Morgenthau to expand not just on the visual language the director of photography helped establish in “Creed 2” but also the “Rocky” franchise as a whole.

They say there’s no revenge like living well. Chelly Wilson barely escaped the Nazi annihilation of the Jewish population of Thessaloniki, which killed 95% of the people she knew, but when she settled in New York City she had no intention of hiding away and counting her sorrows. Like many immigrants, she sought to build a new life by starting a business and working hard to build it up. Uniquely, she chose to dedicate her time to a gay porn cinema, and within in a few years she had built up an empire of such establishments, started producing her own films and became the centre of a social whirlwind. She lived in an apartment above the legendary Adonis, and she was known as the Queen of the Deuce.

Michael B Jordan will return as star and director of Creed IV to explore the next chapter of Adonis Creed’s punchy life and career.
It looks like we’ll be getting another Creed film, according to reports that surfaced over the weekend stating that a fourth movie in the Rocky spin-off series is officially in the works. Not much else is known about the project, apart from that the franchise’s star, Michael B Jordan will not only reprise the character of second-generation boxing champ, Adonis Creed, but also he will once again direct the film too.
Jordan made his feature-length directorial debut with this year’s Creed III, adding another fine entry into what has so far been a rock-solid franchise, both in terms of quality and commercial success. The film ended its global box office run after grossing $275.3 million worldwide from a $75 million budget.

Los Angeles, Nov 19 (Ians) Hollywood star Michael B. Jordan is set to direct the upcoming fourth installment of ‘Creed’, confirms franchise producer Irwin Winkler.
Jordan made his directorial debut with ‘Creed 3’, in which he also starred as heavyweight champ Adonis Creed from the ‘Rocky’ spin-off film series.
The third installment, which premiered in theaters in March of this year, clobbered the box-office with its $58 million debut weekend, a record-setting sum for the boxing franchise, reports Variety.
Jordan first appeared as Adonis in 2015’s ‘Creed’, followed by the 2018 sequel and 2023 threequel. Sylvester Stallone reprised his role as Rocky Balboa in the first two ‘Creed’ installments, becoming a mentor to Adonis, the son of his former rival Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). ‘Creed 3’ is the first entry in the long-running series without Stallone.

The news was shared by franchise producer Irwin Winkler, who told an audience in Los Angeles, “We’re planning to do ‘Creed 4’ right now … we have a really good story, a good plot.” Of Jordan’s return as director, Winkler added, “He will be. He did such a great job — he was comfortable with the camera.”

Like the Italian Stallion, the "Rocky" films have seen some real highs and lows. Now spanning almost 50 years, it's a franchise that offers boundless entertainment, even at its most baffling. These movies are also formulaic to a "T." Even if you've yet to watch a single one, you probably already know what to expect: Rocky Balboa -- or Adonis Creed -- will be down on his luck when he's presented with a new opportunity to prove himself in the boxing ring. Or he'll be riding high only to get knocked flat on his ass and have to pick himself back up. Cue the training montage. It's predictable, but damn if it doesn't work like gangbusters, time and time over.
For the most part, the titles of the "Rocky" films are numerically ordered, which makes it pretty easy to figure out which one to watch after which. The only outlier is "Rocky Balboa,...

Fourteen years after Drake broke through with his So Far Gone mixtape, public reaction to his new projects has grown predictable. The Toronto rapper/singer will run up numbers on Spotify and Apple Music because, well, he’s the king of streaming. A social-media war will inevitably break out over the quality of his music, his reputed softness in comparison to past street-hardened GOATs, and his beefs with sundry bold-faced rivals. In recent months, those online debates have grown coarse and self-righteous, thanks to an unfortunate lyrical shift towards fellating...

Is Drake really ready to hang up his rap jersey for good? The music icon addressed that question during an Oct. 6 interview on "Table For One" to promote his new album "For All the Dogs." While he's not ready to throw in the towel on his music career entirely, he is looking forward to taking a much-deserved break.
"I probably won't make music for a little bit. I'm going to be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost," he shared (via TMZ), clarifying that his health issues are "nothing crazy." He continued, "I want people to be healthy in life, and I've been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach . . . So I need to focus on my health and I need to get right." In the end, Drake doesn't anticipate his break will be too long. "Maybe a year or something, maybe a little longer,...

When he's not churning out his next musical project, Drake is busy on dad duty - and sometimes music and dad duty mix. That much is evident on the father of one's latest album, "For All the Dogs," on which his 5-year-old son Adonis features on the song "Daylight."
When the father-son duo aren't making magic in the studio, they love sitting courtside. In December 2022, the father-son duo were spotted at a Toronto Raptors (Drake's favorite basketball team) vs. Los Angeles Clippers game in December. The pair seem to frequent their fair share of NBA games together, and it's always an adorable sight.
Speculation over whether or not Drake had become a dad swirled via his highly publicized feud with Pusha T before he eventually verified the rumors in the summer of 2018. The rapper, who shares his son with artist Sophie Brussaux, confirmed the news in the most appropriate way he knows how: through song.

Drake has returned with his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs. Stream the album via Apple Music or Spotify below.
Spanning 23 tracks, the album features appearances by Sza, Bad Bunny, J. Cole, 21 Savage, and more. It arrives a day after its latest single, “8Am in Charolette,” which dropped on Thursday, October 5th, and includes Drizzy taking thinly veiled shots at his longtime sparring partner, Kanye West.

“8Am in Charlotte” opens with a skit in which Adonis breaks down his own drawing and dubs his father as “Daddy Goat” before the soulful production from Conductor Williams kicks in and Drake raps about his usual topics like the pressures of fame and chart dominance, while referencing pop culture figures like Jordan Peele, Lauryn Hill, Shania Twain, and Michael Jackson. The mesmerizing tale of Rocky Balboa has been a cornerstone of American cinema since the release of the first “Rocky” movie in 1976. Portrayed by Sylvester Stallone, Rocky’s journey from a struggling boxer in Philadelphia to an international icon is a story that’s both empowering and poignant. And in recent years, this story has seamlessly transformed into the tale of Adonis Creed, breathing new life into a franchise that spans nearly five decades.
The Rocky series was always more than just boxing. It vividly depicted love, friendship, rivalry, and redemption. The recent Creed movies, helmed by the character Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan), son of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), have gracefully transitioned the narrative from Rocky to Adonis, offering a fresh perspective and a respectful nod to the past. With the recent release of “Creed III” in 2023, the saga has reached a new milestone, marking the first time Stallone...

Drake’s fans have taken part in the trend of throwing objects at the singer, but instead of phones, they are tossing their bras on stage.
The rapper posted a photo of his collection featuring at least 100 bras organized by his team in a line. Drake can be seen posing in front of them grinning from ear to ear while wearing a shirt that reads, “If assholes could fly this place would be an airport.”
He included the caption, “Remember when we both forgot who the f— I was in unison… that wavelength was def a foolish one.”
This post has already garnered a lot of attention with basketball player Kevin Durant writing, “Tity boy.” Other fans commented, “Algebra: The class where you solve for A, B, C, & Dd” and “bruh got a library full of bras .”
Singer Nelly Furtado even added, “Way more fun than my stuffed animal collection.

Drake has finally confirmed a release date for his new album, For All the Dogs. It will arrive on Friday, September 22nd.

Drake first revealed the title for For All the Dogs in June, when he was promoting his poetry book Titles Ruin Everything. Ads for the record included a Qr code to a website of the same name, which included the album’s title and the following message: “I made an album to go with the book. They say they miss the old Drake, girl don’t tempt me.”
Last month, meanwhile, Drake shared the album’s artwork, created by his son,...
