Ariana Grande debuted an unsettling teaser Monday for “The Boy is Mine,” the eighth track on her latest album Eternal Sunshine.
In the 10-second clip posted to Instagram, a man turns on a faucet and plunges his face in the sink, as a grisly hand with opaque claws pries open the door. The full music video, expected to be released on June 7, comes after music videos for “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” and hit track “Yes, And?” came out earlier this year. This weekend, “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo will receive the Gold Ally honor at the Gold House Gold Gala, and filmmaker Jon M. Chu will present the award to her.
Ahead of the Gala, Chu spoke with Variety celebrating his leading lady. He recalls the first time he met her over Zoom while casting for his upcoming movie musical “Wicked.”
Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel that inspired Broadway’s acclaimed musical of the same name, “Wicked” precedes Dorothy’s arrival in Oz and tells the legend of the world and the story behind Elphaba, (Erivo) the Wicked Witch of the West, and Glinda (Ariana Grande), who becomes the good witch.
Chu shares insight into the performance that blew him away, and why Erivo receiving the Gold Ally award has special meaning for him.

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth are ready to “make it epic” when Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga barrels into cinemas on May 24, 2024! As tickets for the full-throttle prequel become available for pre-order, the final Furiosa trailer explodes onto screens with action, drama, and one particular shot that now makes me curious about an element of the film. I’m talking about the shot of the CGI-enhanced War Boy.
My knee-jerk reaction to the CGI-enhanced War Boy is one of apprehension. How large of a role does this character play in the film, and will their cartoonishness offset an otherwise incredible-looking film? I hope not. One of the more thrilling elements of Miller’s Mad Max series is the visual spectacle, and I worry the CGI-enhanced War Boy could be an “arrow to the knee.” I could be entirely off base, and I’m simply being paranoid for no good reason.

Sauron wasn’t half as bad as Gandalf made him out to be, and in many regards, he was much better than his opposition. Here are five reasons why Sauron might have been the good guy in Lord of the Rings — or, at the very least, not the villain you think he was.
5. Sauron Was Supported by Many Nations
Unlike his opposition that mainly consisted of two human kingdoms and a few token elves, Sauron had support from truly diverse groups. Orcs, mountain people, elephant riders, pirates, the Witch King’s folks, cave trolls, the wizard king, a dragon, and the entirety of Mordor all willingly united to support the one true ruler, Sauron.
4. Sauron Was Progressive and Inclusive
Sauron didn’t care for anyone’s disabilities or race. His commanders were a disabled albino orc and, later, an orc with cerebral palsy. He partnered and worked with dragons and wizards.

When director George Miller needed to fill the role of Immortan Joe in Mad Max: Fury Road, he turned to actor Hugh Keays-Byrne, who had previously played the villainous Toecutter in the original Mad Max. Sadly, Keays-Byrne passed away in 2020, before Miller could get the prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga into production – so in this movie, which is set to reach theatres on May 24, the role of Immortan Joe is being played by Lachy Hulme. Hulme’s casting in the role was confirmed by Empire, and they also scored a great quote from Hulme about the scope of the film. He told them Furiosa is “David Lean, but with motorbikes instead of camels. When you see 4,000 custom-made motorbikes come over a hill, you shit your pants.“
Hulme pulls double duty in the Furiosa, as he also plays a character called Rizzdale Pell, who is “one of the gang members...

Many godlike Avengers, including Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Hulk, and Thor, are mentioned when fans argue over who is the most powerful character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, upon examining the physical attributes, fans may discover that the answer to this question is not as simple as they initially believed. There are other abilities besides brute force, magic, and energy blasts that can provide a hero with an edge during battle.
Having said that, Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man in the MCU, is a superhero who, with the use of Pym Particles, can shrink to the size of an ant while retaining his normal strength and durability. This means that he can outmaneuver his rivals and deliver punches with the force of a full-sized man. Not to mention, his ability to change size gives him an extra edge in battle.

The mysterious nature of the award-winning Elden Ring game has now led to its fans coming up with new theories every single day. This includes speculations and predictions about every element of the game, whether it be the storyline, the characters, the dialogues, or even items.

Donald Trump owes E. Jean Carroll more than $83 million, according to a New York jury.

They returned to court after E. Jean accused Donald of making additional defamatory comments in 2019, leading to the latest results.

Updated with Trump response: After just three hours of deliberations, a New York jury today said Donald Trump has to pay E. Jean Carroll more than $83 million in her defamation trial against the former president.
Of that impressive $83.3 million, $65 million is punitive damages and $11 million is for harm to the former Elle columnist’s reputation.

McFarlane Toys is resurrecting its classic Movie Manics line, complete with…practically no movie maniacs.
The lineup, which Todd McFarlane unveiled on Twitter, includes the Wicked Witch of the West, Bugs Bunny, Harry Potter, and Ted Lasso. Notice anything strange about this wave of Movie Maniacs? The Wicked Witch of the West is the only inclusion that even gets close to qualifying–she does threaten to kill a dog and has no problem lighting a scarecrow on fire. Bugs Bunny, Harry Potter and Ted Lasso, on the other hand, are straight-up protagonists, only one of which is even considered a major movie character.
In his Twitter post, McFarlane–who himself doesn’t seem terribly interested in the properties being tied into the once-defunct Movie Maniacs label–shows off each box and figure, hinting that the entire promotion is more of a plug for the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros. Each figure comes with a backdrop,...
