Odd Projects, the Los Angeles-based talent management company founded in 2020 by former Anonymous Content and WME manager Nate Ruff, has brought in Brian Sokolik as managing partner and Joshua Cohen (no relation to our Tubefilter co-founder) as talent manager.
Sokolik started his career in the mailroom at 3 Arts Entertainment and became a talent manager at Fullscreen before rising to Head of Digital at Authentic Talent. Cohen, meanwhile, was with Authentic Talent for 11 years, working first in unscripted and endorsements, and then moving into digital.
Both Sokolik and Cohen have “first-class relationships” in the industry, Ruff told Deadline.
They’re bringing their talent rosters with them to Odd Projects, including clients like chef/creator/Nyt bestselling author Joshua Weissman, musician Alex Warren (who has 20 million followers on TikTok), and adventurous YouTuber Mike Corey, the host of channel Fearless & Far.

In a social-media landscape where short-form videos, witty voiceovers and camera-friendly personas tend to reign supreme, digital food creators have turned to a far more traditional medium to continue their success: cookbooks.
TikTok star Nadia Caterina Munno, known as “The Pasta Queen,” published her first cookbook on Nov. 8 with Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books; as of Nov. 17, the book has reached the No. 5 spot in the New York Times best seller list in the advice, how-to and miscellaneous category.
Chef Joshua Weissman, who has 7 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 6 million on TikTok, parleyed his online popularity into An Unapologetic Cookbook, which was published in Sept. 2021 with Dk and nabbed a top spot on the New York Times best-seller list shortly after its debut in the same category for cookbooks, securing a spot in the list for a total of 9 weeks.

Joshua Weissman isn’t interested in easy, one-pot meals. The aversion to speed and convenience may seem anachronistic for a chef whose most popular videos on TikTok often involve him almost aggressively slapping ingredients into bowls as he whisks, slices and dices with the energy of someone who clearly loves what he’s doing, creating the illusion that the recipes are quick — and daresay fun — to make.
But with his latest offering, An Unapologetic Cookbook, Weissman — who has 5.8 million followers on TikTok and 5.3 million subscribers on YouTube — is slowing down the process and encouraging readers and home cooks ...
