Werewolf bikers, one might think they would be fairly common in movies, but apart from Hellhounds I can only think of a couple. There’s 1971’s Werewolves on Wheels, which has more to do with Satanists than lycanthropes and more recently High Moon, where a gang of old west werewolves find themselves in the present and saddle up on more modern iron horses. Hellhounds gets off to a start, or should I say starts, that are all over the place. We’re introduced to three separate sets of characters with no clue as to what the connection is. A woman chased down and abducted somewhere in the desert. A member of the Hellhounds biker gang tracked down by a bounty hunter,...

Frequent collaborators Jospeh Mbah and Robert Conway, the duo behind the likes of Expo and Krampus Origins, retreat for a sci-fi movie that apparently expands on two short “Paradox Universe” films Mbah made in 2018.
Battlefield 2025 tells the story of small-town America, a small town in Arizona to be precise, where weekend campers, an escaped convict, young lovers and a police officer all get entangled in an alien invasion, experiencing a night of terror when a hostile visitor from another world arrives… Did I say arrives? That’s technically true, even if the alien crash lands – as usual in these types of movies!

As a public-domain boogeyman, you know you’ve hit the big time when you have your very own straight to DVD rip-off released in conspicuously close vicinity to a big(ger) budget feature also bearing your name and talents. Case in point Krampus, currently at a career high with this year’s Krampus and A Christmas Horror Story at last giving the anti-Santa Claus the cinematic exposure he so deserves.
Shamelessly piggybacking on the Krampus high is Krampus: The Reckoning, which claims to be a Krampus movie but instead tells the story of a Carrie-esque brat and her imaginary (?) friend… who also happens to be Christmas demon Krampus. The budgetary...
