According to Robert McAfee Brown, "Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today", and this is one of the reasons why Claudymir Baptiste loves film so much. Claudymir is a filmmaker who was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived the majority of his life in Orlando, FL. He is the son of Haitian parents and the youngest of three siblings. Through film, Claudymir is able to take stories and create a living painting for the world audience to enjoy.
He has accumulated his experience by working on various projects throughout the years including but not limited to, a feature film, an episodic web series, numerous short films and live events while operating in key roles including that of leadership within those productions.
Claudymir has also served as a camera operator for Florida State's baseball, basketball and football games for ESPN/ Seminole Production. Claudymir has made history with Iron Zoo Productions for the first web series ever created at the FSU School of Communication, as the casting director and first assistant director to the 8-part episodic web series "Chronos", which was launched in May 2015 with upward of 18,000 views.
In December of 2015, Claudymir earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University with a major in Communications and Digital Media studies and a minor in Film Production. He decided to pursue higher learning and further his education at Full Sail University where he produced approximately 30 short films, assuming various roles and learning from some of the film industry's best and brightest. A number of short films that Claudymir has worked on are currently in the film festival circuit of those film is entitled, D20, which is a thesis film shot on Full Sail soundstage.
Claudymir was the Unit Production Manager for New Kid in Town, where he managed a crew of 73 and completed the project under budget and on time. In September of 2017, Claudymir earned his Masters of Fine Arts in Film Production from Full Sail University. Claudymir resides in Atlanta to pursue his dream of becoming the producer of the next summer blockbuster.
