Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer criticized Donald Trump for saying that any Jewish person voting for Democrats “hates their religion.”
Trump was recently asked on a podcast hosted by his former White House aide Sebastian Gorka, America First with Sebastian Gorka Podcast, about the criticism from the Biden administration and Schumer of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“I actually think they hate Israel,” he claimed. “I don’t think they hate him, I think they hate Israel. And the Democrat Party hates Israel.”
“Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion,” he added. “They hate everything about Israel, and they should be ashamed of themselves because Israel will be destroyed.”
Trump slammed Schumer, who recently condemned Netanyahu’s government and demanded new elections in a speech on the Senate floor about Israel’s war on Hamas and the subsequent humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Donald Trump’s former aid Sebastian Gorka gave short shrift to the BBC’s political editor this week, eventually asking him, “Do you not speak English?”
In an increasingly terse exchange during the BBC’s flagship early morning current affairs Today Programme on radio, Gorka accused the BBC’s Chris Mason of “putting words in his mouth” and not listening to what he had said.
Gorka, who worked for Donald Trump in the White House between January and August of 2017, was defending his former boss following charges against Trump of attempting to overturn the 2020 US election. After Mason suggested that “no one should be above the law”, Gorka grew more agitated.
“Why are you putting words in my mouth? I’m talking about the absolute opposite. Do you not speak English? I’m talking about equality before the law. Did you not listen to what I said? President Trump hasn’t committed a crime,...

Lin Wood, a former member of Donald Trump’s legal team and one of the foremost pushers of the lie that the 2020 election was rigged, has permanently retired from practicing law.
Wood isn’t exactly riding into the sunset after an esteemed career. He’s faced a slew of legal action since his effort to overturn President Joe Biden’s win failed, which the The Daily Beast recounted last month. Wood and some of his colleagues have been accused of misconduct in Michigan for filing bogus election lawsuits; he’s...

Still crying over your cans of Bud Light? Well, that’s too bad, because TikTok star and trans actress Dylan Mulvaney wants the right-wing media — and Bud Light — to know that no amount of backlash will stop her from fighting for her community.
Best known for her viral TikTok series Days of Girlhood, Mulvaney’s status as a visible and unapologetic trans entertainer has made her a target of harassment. And in early April, a small collaboration the influencer posted with Bud Light quickly became the main focus of conservative talking heads.

House Republicans have been promising to expose President Joe Biden’s supposedly criminal business dealings with foreign entities for months. But the biggest takeaway from Oversight Committee Chair James Comer’s (R-Ky.) much-hyped press conference on Wednesday revealing the GOP’s “findings” was just the opposite — they don’t have the goods.
What Republicans presented on “judgment day” was a memo outlining more than $10 million in payments received by members of the Biden family from foreign businesses between 2015-2017. But the findings lacked a crucial detail — concrete evidence linking Biden...

“Get woke, go broke,” has become a rallying cry of the political right whenever they see a brand make the slightest effort to align itself with liberal or progressive values. It’s a meme that allows Maga country to believe that there is ongoing, massive backlash to products that acknowledge and celebrate marginalized communities. But the supposed boycotts never seem to be reflected in the bottom line.

Donald Trump’s allies launched a new line of attack against his potential rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, Ron DeSantis, falsely claiming that the Republican governor was “endorsed” by philanthropist George Soros, The Daily Beast reported.
Soros mentioned DeSantis while giving a speech on Thursday at the international Munich Security Conference, saying, “My hope for 2024 is that Trump and Governor DeSantis of Florida will slug it out for the Republican nomination. Trump has turned into a pitiful figure, continuing mourning his loss in 2020. Big Republican donors are abandoning him in droves.

The former president launched a series of digital Nft trading cards on Thursday to much mockery from opponents, and clear frustration from some of his most prominent supporters who think he should be focusing on politics with his 2024 reelection campaign off to a rocky start.
On the “War Room” podcast, host Steve Bannon and his guests, right-wing commentators Sebastian Gorka and Steve Cortes, called for Trump to clean house or at least fire whoever conceptualized the absurd stunt.

That prompted right-wing Trump allies — including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, alt-right activist Jack Posobiec and former Trump White House aide Sebastian Gorka — to come out against Wood. In response, Wood has been posting through it, making wild claims without evidence.

A video spot of Rudy Giuliani hawking MyPillow products elicited ridicule and a bit of wonder of what has happened to the man once known as America’s Mayor, but it’s hardly anything new for a political figure to give in to the temptations of commercial endorsements.
The spot was part of Giuliani’s Common Sense podcast, this one centered on the latest fascination with UFOs.

Fox News has canceled Lou Dobbs’ Fox Business show, Lou Dobbs Tonight, and will replace him with a rotating group of hosts.
Dobbs, one of Donald Trump’s steadfast defenders, was among the defendants named in election systems company Smartmatic’s $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit filed on Thursday against Fox Corp. The lawsuit claims that Dobbs, Maria Bartiromo and Judge Jeanine Pirro, along with guests Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, spread falsehoods that the company rigged the results of the 2020 presidential election.

On Tuesday, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell made an appearance on Newsmax’s “American Agenda” to help the network advance disingenuous claims of “cancel culture” inspired by the recent suspension of his Twitter account.
But unfortunately Lindell — a conspiracy theorist who supported the violent insurrection incited by Donald Trump — was unable to refrain from shouting the kinds of lies that got him kicked off the social media site in the first place. And it got to the point that one of the show’s co-hosts just walked off in the middle of the interview after several unsuccessful attempts to save Lindell — and Newsmax — from himself.
Now, Lindell was banned from Twitter in late January for continuing to spread conspiracy theories and lies about the 2020 election, and when he subsequently tried to use the MyPillow account to accuse Twitter of being actively involved in that nonexistent fraud, Twitter suspended that as well.

Protesters, mostly maskless, gathered in D.C. from across the country this weekend to show their support for President Trump and express their refusal to accept the 2020 presidential election results. At one point, the crowd chanted “Destroy the GOP!” to express their anger with the party for failing to keep Trump in the White House. The rally was held just one day after the Supreme Court delivered a likely fatal blow to Trump’s hopes of remaining in power.

As startling as it was to hear President Donald Trump refuse to commit to a peaceful transfer of power in this year’s election, what was surprising was how he came to make the remark.
Responding to a question from Playboy’s Brian Karem on Wednesday, Trump said: “We’re going to have to see what happens. You know that. I have been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster.” Watch their exchange below.
The president’s answer quickly dominated cable news coverage, drew sharp rebuke from his Democratic rival Joe Biden and eventually saw a number of Senate Republicans push back — albeit without using Trump’s name.
By Thursday afternoon, the consternation over the remark became so great that the Senate passed a resolution by unanimous consent reaffirming that, after November 3, there would be a peaceful transfer of power.

For the first time ever, the TV Academy has released the nominating ballots for the Best Character Voice-Over Performance category. With 153 submissions for this year’s contest, that means the category will feature six nominees (see Emmy rules). This race could use a bit of a shakeup. The past four years have seen the prize go to cast members from “Family Guy,” with Seth MacFarlane winning in 2016-17 and 2019 and Alex Borstein winning in 2018. Before that it was cast members from “The Simpsons” who took the prize in 2014 (Harry Shearer) and 2015 (Hank Azaria). So, with that in mind, here is a lineup I think would be stellar and refreshing to see in this year’s race.

A federal appeals court ruled Friday that the White House wrongly suspended the hard pass of Playboy’s correspondent Brian Karem after a raucous incident in July in which he got into an argument with Donald Trump’s former aide Sebastian Gorka following a Rose Garden ceremony.
A three judge panel of the D.C. circuit ruled unanimously to uphold a lower court ruling in favor of Karem, concluding that he “lacked fair notice that the White House might punish his purportedly unprofessional conduct by suspending his hard pass for a month.”
On Sept. 3, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras granted Karem’s motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. He found that then-White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham’s rationale for revoking the pass was too vague.
The appellate justices agreed.

Fox News is facing intense scrutiny for its initial coverage of the coronavirus pandemic and a lawsuit filed in Washington is asking a state court to bar the network from sharing false information about the pandemic.
The top-rated network was sued Thursday by the Washington League for Increased Transparency and Ethics. TheWrap has reviewed the ten-page document, in which Fox News Corp., owner Rupert Murdoch, AT&T TV and Comcast were named as defendants.
The organization is seeking an injunction to prevent Fox News from “interfering with reasonable and necessary measures to contain the virus by publishing further false and deceptive content.” Fox News, the suit says, violates the Consumer Protection Act, which ” declares unlawful and prohibits deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce.”
Responding to Thursday’s lawsuit, general counsel for Fox News Media Lily Fu Claffee said, “Wrong on the facts, frivolous on the law.

The White House is appealing a federal judge’s decision from earlier this month to restore the hard pass of Playboy’s correspondent Brian Karem.
The Trump administration suspended Karem’s credentials after a raucous incident in July in which he got in argument with former Trump aide Sebastian Gorka following a Rose Garden ceremony.
The notice of appeal was filed Friday in federal court in Washington. Karem’s attorneys and those of the administration also filed a joint motion to stay the proceedings pending the appeal.
On Sept. 3, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras granted Karem’s motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. He found that White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham’s rationale for revoking the pass was too vague.
“White House events appear to vary greatly in character,” Contreras wrote in his opinion. “Thus, without any contextual guideposts, ‘professionalism,’ standing alone, remains too murky to provide fair notice here.

2Nd Update, 3:26 Pm: In her decision to suspend the hard pass of Playboy’s White House correspondent Brian Karem, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham cited remarks from a Secret Service agent who intervened as Karem exchanged heated words with former Trump aide Sebastian Gorka during a Rose Garden event last month.
But on Wednesday, Justice Department attorneys informed a federal judge that there is no written statement from the agent, whose view of the confrontation could have proved critical in deciphering what transpired on July 10.
The DOJ lawyers said that there are “notes taken by an attorney in the Office of White House Counsel from an interview with the agent, but Defendants understand that this court’s order does not apply to such notes.”

3Rd Update with lawsuit filed: Playboy senior White House correspondent and CNN contributor Brian Karem filed a lawsuit Tuesday against President Donald Trump and White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham over the suspension of his White House “hard pass” credential last week.
The filing (read it here) in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia called the defendants’ revoking of Karem’s pass “arbitrary, unlawful, and unconstitutional,” and his Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher Llp lawyers asked the court for a temporary restraining order to restore his credential immediately.
The lawsuit over the suspension, which stems from a July confrontation in the Rose Garden with former White House aide Sebastian Gorka, marks the second by a White House journalist in a year, following CNN’s Jim Acosta’s suit last November. Karem is also a CNN analyst, and claimed the Rose Garden argument was a mere pretext to revoke his credentials.

I never promised you a Rose Garden brawl. But if the crowd had its way, we would have had one today.
Right-wing talk-show host Sebastian Gorka called out CNN political analyst Brian Karem after Donald Trump’s White House event, and the two traded near-nose-to-nose insults before decorum — or at least sanity — prevailed. Video uploaded to social media today shows the men yelling at each other as a sizable audience watched and cell phone cameras rolled; check out some video below.
In one Twitter clip, Karem responds to a man off-camera who tells him, “Don’t be sad.” The pundit replies by addressing the group of conservative influencers who had gathered for Trump’s social media summit and were invited to stay for his ensuing address about how he plans to determine the citizenship of U.S. residents.

Fox News and the Trump White House: a seamlessly integrated human centipede. Want proof? Look no further than the fact that Bill Shine, current White House communications director and the former president of Fox News, collects checks from both shops. Hope Hicks, who preceded Shine in his government gig, now works at his old network’s parent company, 21st Century Fox.

Sebastian Gorka no longer is a Fox News contributor.
Details remain murky, in much same way they were murky when Sorka left the White House back in August of 2017, claiming to have resigned, warning “forces that do not support the Maga promise are – for now – ascendant within the White House,” though insiders preferred to describe it as White House Chief of Staff John Kelly showing Gorka the door.
A Fox News rep confirmed Gorka no longer is a contributor but declined to elaborate. Gorka had launched a new nationally syndicated radio show with Salem Radio, last November. He also is a national contributor at Sinclair TV.
The former Breitbart editor has moved about a bit, becoming special assistant to Trump in January of ’17. But, after getting kicked to the curb around the same time as his former Breitbart boss Steve Bannon, Gorka returned to Fox News in November of ’17.

Longtime Fox News president Roger Ailes fed Donald Trump debate questions, according to a lengthy new investigation from the New Yorker.
The piece, written by Jane Mayer and published on Monday in advance of their March issue, says that even Megyn Kelly’s famously tough question to Trump about his past remarks toward women were slipped to the billionaire in advance.
“A pair of Fox insiders and a source close to Trump believe that Ailes informed the Trump campaign about Kelly’s question,” Mayer said. “Two of those sources say that they know of the tipoff from a purported eyewitness. In addition, a former Trump campaign aide says that a Fox contact gave him advance notice of a different debate question, which asked the candidates whether they would support the Republican nominee, regardless of who won.”

National Harbor, Maryland — “America is founded on a simple idea, and that idea… [dramatic pause] is freedom.” So declared Vice President Mike Pence in a booming staccato during his Friday morning Cpac address. “Freedom works,” Pence assured the room of conservative conference-goers. “We have the courage to stand for freedom.”
Pence played the hits: low unemployment, strong economy, tax cuts and an extended riff about infanticide. A customary “build-the-wall” chant broke out, but fizzled nearly as soon as it began. That’s Cpac’s dirty little secret: The wall is not the fetish object it once was.

One of the unfortunate byproducts of living under the Trump administration is being necessarily aware of ancillary right-wing partisans that have contributed to his reign. Familiarity with names like Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Stephen Miller, Sebastian Gorka, Milo Yiannopoulos, and Alex Jones are all but mandatory for understanding the ideological machinations behind such a presidency, even if the ultimate conclusion can be accurately reduced to, “The cruelty is the point.” When the inmates have taken over the asylum, it’s important to know their various afflictions.
