- Once worked at a peace benefit touring the piano John Lennon used to compose the song Imagine. Frederick is an enormous Beatles fan and, when asked by his co-workers for a tune, instinctively began playing Hey Jude. Worried he had unintentionally insulted the memory of Lennon by playing a McCartney song, Frederick then played Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds and, of course, Imagine.
- Frederick is a 4th generation entrepreneur. He started a theatre company, his father started an HVAC company, his grandfather owned a car dealership, and his great grandfather owned a hotel.
- Lived in the former home of playwright Bertolt Brecht in Svendborg, Denmark for 2 weeks while mounting a reproduction of Der Jasager und Der Neinsager.
- An alumnus of St. Louis Priory High School - the same school attended by actor Kevin Kline. In 2002, Kline returned to Priory to arrange a showing of his recent film The Emperor's Club, which was inspired, in part, by the school.
- Joined the German theatre and multimedia company Bluespots Productions in 2014 as an ensemble member.
- Founded and ran a theatre company in Chicago (The Island Theatre Company), along with a classmate from Southern Methodist University, from 2009 - 2014.
- Graduated from Southern Methodist University, with honors, with a degree in Playwriting and Directing.
