Many movies are only as good as their villain. So it goes with the "Fast and Furious" franchise that has somehow managed to produce 11 films (and counting) despite lukewarm success in the bad guy category. Our heroes, led by Vin Diesel's fearless Dominic Toretto, have gone toe-to-toe with a staggering collection of veteran actors with mixed results, often achieving victory relatively quickly in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Thankfully, a handful of notable evil-doers in the "Fast Saga" stand out amongst the fleet and punch above the script on the way to bad-guy glory. With the new "Fast X" driving over box office records, we thought it'd be prudent to run through the entire series and separate the villains who kicked it into fifth gear from those stuck on neutral. So, we present all the villains in the "Fast and Furious" franchise (including Jason Momoa) ranked from worst...

The "Fast and Furious" saga is one of Hollywood's purest movie franchises, one that understands the primordial appeal of exciting spectacle, dumb plots, and larger-than-life characters, as well as earnest melodrama and a focus on family that other franchises simply can't replicate.
This is also a movie franchise unafraid to reinvent itself, to destroy its continuity for the sake of a better story and spectacle. The only rule in these movies is the rule of cool. Because of how often the franchise is retentive while also retconning itself, each movie's villain is as different as they can be from each other.
And yet, there are two clear camps when it comes to "Fast and Furious" baddies. There are the ones with a personal vendetta against Dominic Toretto or the "fambly," and then there's everyone else. The thing is, time and time again, the franchise has made it clear that the...

As Dominic Toretto (played with muscle-y esteem by Vin Diesel) once said, "I live my life a quarter-mile at a time." When 2001's "The Fast and the Furious" came out, this sentiment referred to Dom's love of street racing. But on the eve of the premiere of "Fast X," the 10th entry in the series, perhaps Dom should've said he lives his life a quarter-century at a time.
The release of "Fast X" marks 22 glorious years of the "Fast" saga, and as the 25-year mark approaches, it seems that Diesel and company are eager to give their long-running franchise a big, splashy final act. Because the "Fast" films are not based on any pre-existing source material, the journey from each movie to the next has been thrillingly unpredictable as the Torettos and their extended family reach bigger and crazier heights.
Now that Diesel, the rest of the ensemble cast, and...

"Fast X," which is set to hit theaters on May 19, will mark the beginning of the end of the Fast and Furious franchise. Initially, the series was meant to wrap up with a two-part finale. However, at the "Fast X" premiere in Rome, Italy, on May 12, Vin Diesel, who's led the franchise as Dominic Toretto since 2001, teased the movies could end with a trilogy instead. Although he didn't officially confirm or deny anything, his co-star Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) fueled the rumors by telling Fandango, "It's three acts in any story."
If it's true, then the series will officially end after 13 movies. Castmembers like Diesel, Rodriguez, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris have starred in the majority of the "Fast and Furious" films, while Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham led the 2019 spinoff film "Hobbs & Shaw." While talking about the franchise's longevity at the "Fast X" premiere, Diesel...

We all know that Vin Diesel is a big fan of the Family element in the Fast & Furious movies. And particularly that of his character, Dominic Toretto. As time moves forward for the Fast crew, Dom's young son Brian is aging up too, and will be played in Fast X by Leo Abelo Perry.
The child Toretto had with Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky), in 2017’s Fast & Furious 8 he was kidnapped as an infant along with his mother and used by Cipher (Charlize Theron) to blackmail Dom. Though Elena is eventually killed, he is rescued by Deckard (Jason Statham) and Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), and Dom names him after his friend Brian O’Conner (the late Paul Walker). In 2021’s Fast & Furious 9 he's seen living with Dom and stepmom Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) at their farmhouse.
How he factors into Fast X remains to be seen, though Perry's...

This article contains Fast and Furious franchise spoilers
It’s sort of amazing just how far The Fast and the Furious franchise has come—that it is even a franchise at all—when you consider where we started. The 2001 film could very easily have been a cheesy CW-esque drama fueled by biceps and bravado. But amid the roaring engines and nitrous-boosted action, there was the kernel of something special. The relationship between Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) elevated the film above base melodrama, and even though many of the subsequent films struggled to recapture the magic, the fifth attempt finally realized the series’ great potential.
Fast Five remains the purest distillation of the series and its overall greatest installment. The drama is believable, the cast is large but not unwieldy, and the action scenes are some of the best Hollywood has yet to produce. Fast Five...
