Hulu is in the early stages of development on a new chapter of “Prison Break” with “Mayans M.C.” cocreator Elgin James attached to write, from 20th Television, the network announced on Thursday.
The original series, which starred Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell as incarcerated brothers, ran on Fox from 2005 to 2008, with a one-season revival in 2017. The new series is expected to feature a fresh cast of characters attempting a daring jailbreak.
The original, which was created by Paul Scheuring, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Ramin Djawadi’s main title music. It also had a video game “Prison Break: The Conspiracy” released in 2010.
James will serve as writer and executive producer on the revival, with Dawn Olmstead, Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz set as non-writing executive producers.

FX has released our biggest look at Mayans M.C. Season 4 to date, and it's clear that war is on the horizon.
The latest clip shows the Mayans and Sons of Anarchy's Samcro preparing for battle.
"Off With Their Heads" is the soundtrack of choice on the high-stakes footage.
It has rain pouring, lightning strikes, and everything you'd expect to tee up such a big fight.
The footage shows siblings Ez (Jd Pardo) and Angel Reyes (Clayton Cardenas), as well as Gilly (Vincent “Rocco” Vargas), Hank (Frankie Loyal), and Creeper (Joseph Lucero).
The good news for fans of Sons of Anarchy is that it looks like many faces from the original series will be stopping by.
However, the show is keeping those familiar faces under wraps until transmission.
Hey, we like spoilers, but we also like being shocked!
“[In Season 3], we dealt with consequences, and I think we’re going to continue to.

Exclusive: FX’s Mayans M.C. is patching in Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, and Vincent Vargas as series regulars for season 4 of the biker drama slated to return in early 2022.
The trio took on larger roles in season 3 which saw their characters Hank Loza, Neron “Creeper” Vargas, and Gilly Lopez, respectively, flourish and develop into fully rounded characters with storylines fans embraced fully. Loyal, Lucero, and Vargas have been a part of the series throughout its three-season run.
Mayans M.C., a spin-off series of the network’s hit Sons of Anarchy, follows a motley crew of Latino men who found a family in the motorcycle club charter Santo Padre on the California and Mexico border. While the story is about the M.C., it also features powerful female characters that are bold and powerful in their own right.

Spoiler Alert: The following article contains details about tonight’s Season 3 finale of Mayans M.C.
At the end of Mayans M.C.‘s Season 3 finale, which aired tonight on FX, Ez (Jd Pardo) and Santo Padre seems on the brink of all-out war with the other Mayans charters.
Written by Debra Moore Muñoz and directed by Elgin James, “Chapter the Last, Nothing More to Write” opens peacefully, with Ez dreaming of his late mother, before awakening to the love of his life, Gaby (Sulem Calderon). The pair are planning to start a new life in Lodi, after Ez ties up loose ends for the club.
For Ez, “tying up loose ends” means staking out a garage where members of the Yuma charter hang out, along with Angel (Clayon Cardenas) and Gilly (Vincent Vargas), taking out Canche (Jimmy Gonzales) with a bomb, so that Bishop (Michael Irby) can take over as the Mayans’ “one king.

Sulem Calderon is relatively new to the professional acting scene, but you’d never be able to tell by watching her work. In what seems like the blink of an eye, she has entered the industry and made it very clear that she’s here to stay. Even though the industry can be a very difficult place to thrive, Sulem isn’t going to let anything keep her from achieving her dreams. Sulem is best-known for her role in the TV series Mayans M.C. but she has more great roles up her sleeve. She is currently working on a film called Jungle Cruise

Rock Salt Releasing has boarded Kate Bosworth-starrer “Nona.”
TriCoast Media launched arthouse-focused Rock Salt last year. It will present both films to buyers with screenings in Berlin.
Michael Polish’s “Nona” – also known as “No Fame” – follows two strangers who travel from Honduras to the U.S. border. Touching on issues surrounding illegal immigration and human trafficking, it stars Kate Bosworth, and Sulem Calderon as the titular Nona. Calderon will be seen next year in Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson movie “Jungle Cruise.”
Another title on Rock Salt’s slate is Guilhad Emilio Schenker’s “Madam Yankelova’s Fine Literature Club,” which follows events at a secretive women-only society whose members lure in unwitting dates, before their fate is revealed. Alex Ansky, Ania Bukstein and Razia Israeli star.
“Films that feature women don’t have to be dramas, and the women don’t even have to be heroines,” said Daisy Hamilton,...

Twenty years and 12 features down the line, it’s still hard to peg the directorial sensibility of Michael Polish, with or without the presence of brother Mark as frequent co-writer and actor. His output has been all over the place, from early Lynchian quirkfests to the very middle-of-the-road inspirational dramedy “The Astronaut Farmer,” not to mention mediocre genre exercises, a B&W Parisian romance (“For Lovers Only”). a good movie about Jack Kerouac (“Big Sur”), and one about manure salesmen that’s about as good as that sounds (“The Smell of Success”). It remains a puzzle whether his thematic interests are more laudably diverse than they are simply arbitrary.
“Nona” is yet another departure, a primarily Spanish-language feature shot on location in Central America, touching on issues of illegal immigration and human trafficking. The narrative’s picaresque road-trip majority doesn’t properly set up a late turn towards seriousness, draining...
