The good news? The cure for every single illness in the world has (maybe) been found. The bad news? The cure — or rather, “cure” — turns its subjects into bloodthirsty monsters.
As Monday’s premiere of Fox’s sci-fi drama The Passage opens, scientists at a clandestine government facility deemed Project Noah are working hard to figure out how to turn off the part of the virus’ nastier aspects; because no sane human being would volunteer to be a test subject, the docs work on Death Row inmates. To date, by the way, all patients have had the same trajectory: extreme good health,...

As a ravenous reader of The Passage novels, Mark-Paul Gosselaar wanted Fox’s adaptation to very closely mirror author Justin Cronin’s trilogy. But as the star of the TV series based on the books?
Well, Gosselaar still wanted everything to happen just like it does on the page.
“I’m like, ‘We need to stay true to the books!,'” Gosselaar tells TVLine in advance of tonight’s series’ premiere (9/8c). “‘We need to follow the books in a linear fashion.’ And it just doesn’t work.” He laughs. “I mean, I guess that’s why I’m not a producer of the show.

FX has greenlit two new limited series, “Shogun” and “Devs,” the cable channel announced during the Television Critics Association summer 2018 press tour Friday.
The 10-episode series “Shogun” is based on James Clavell’s novel of the same name. Set in feudal Japan, the story follows a mysterious female samurai and the shipwrecked English sailor John Blackthorne. Other key characters include Lord Toranaga, a shrewd, powerful daimyo, at odds with his own dangerous, political rivals and Lady Mariko, a woman with invaluable skills but dishonorable family ties, who must prove her value and allegiance.
“The story of Shōgun has captivated audiences since James Clavell first released his epic novel more than 40 years ago,” FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said. “The themes of an outsider encountering a new culture are as relevant today as then.”

No plot details have been released. Todd Black, who produced Fences, the film which earned Davis the Best Supporting Actress Oscar, is producing Troupe Zero for Amazon.
Grace is perhaps one of the busiest young actors in the biz with a long list of credits that includes Fox Searchlight’s Gifted, Amityville: The Awakening as well as ABC’s Designated Survivor and Netflix’s Fuller House. Netflix has released the full trailer for their new series Seven Seconds. This is our best look yet at the anthology crime series and it looks like it will tell a very heavy and intense story that touches on some hard-hitting issues. It looks like a great show and I'm looking forward to checking it out.
In a society fraught with racial tension, sensational headlines, and an audience who would rather be entertained than informed, seven seconds can mean life or death. The new Netflix original series Seven Seconds gives viewers a glimpse into the human stories behind the headlines. In an instant, life is forever changed for Brenton Butler and his family. After a white cop accidentally hits and critically injures a black teenager, a northeastern city explodes with racial tensions, an attempted cover up and its aftermath, and the trial of the century. From creator and executive producer,...
