Theda de Sade
- Actress
Theda de Sade was born Melissa Moreno in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised by her mother on the city's east side. She is mostly of Italian, Mexican, and German descent.
She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Milwaukee with a degree in playwriting and dramaturgy, but began modeling and performing in local vaudeville shows soon thereafter. She made her debut as a burlesque performer in 2013 and began appearing in softcore fetish films later that year. Although she took several acting gigs, nothing made it to premier until 2014 when she appeared as an exotic dancer named Diabla in the neo-grindhouse short film Tough Cookie.
She began producing her own burlesque shows in 2015, and launched a rock n' roll themed neo-burlesque troupe known as the Glamour Junkies in 2017. That summer, she won the title "Master of Assels" at Wisconsin Burlypicks.
