Bhella Candenti
- Actress
- Writer
Born Harjoat Kaur Bhella in 1988 in Coventry, England, Bhella Candenti
got her first lead role age 11 at school playing the Wicked Witch of
the West in the Wizard of Oz. The youngster got a standing ovation from
the audience when she fell off the stage and this, she says, gave her
the acting bug. Age 31, Bhella has been cast in numerous roles since
her primary school stardom - in fact, there has barely been a spare
moment where she hasn't been working on an acting project, and in
between, is an obsessive reader of Romantic and Victorian literature.
In 2011, Bhella graduated from De Montfort University with a BA Hons in
Drama and English Literature. During her final year, Bhella gained her
professional acting debut working with Phizzical Productions at the
Leicester Comedy Festival, taking the lead in Chekov's The Proposal.
Bhella furthered her training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts
in Los Angeles and at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts
(RADA) in London. Bhella made her film debut in 2017 in 'Crossing Over'.
