Gerard de Marigny is an American novelist and screenplay writer. In 2023, he completed co-writing the historical sports drama, Glory League and the treatment for the mystery-thriller, The King's Game with writing-producing partner Michael Greenburg.
His counter-terrorism novel, White Widow (Cris De Niro, Book 7) was released in February 2019.
Since his 2011 inaugural publication of The Watchman of Ephraim, (Cris De Niro, Book 1), Mr. de Marigny has independently published seven Cris De Niro novels and two novellas, along with his first title outside the Cris De Niro universe, Joshua's Country.
The Cris De Niro series is set in the days and years following September 11, 2001 when a non-governmental based counter-terrorism firm is formed to respond to crises born from a variety of modern geopolitical events. The series of books resonate with espionage, sub-genre fiction readers from around the world. The books have become Amazon-bestsellers.
In August 2014, Gerard partnered with Michael Greenburg (Creator/Producer of the original MacGyver, Stargate SG-1, Legend, et al.) to found CDN Films, a production company created primarily to promote film/TV adaptations of de Marigny's Cris De Niro series of novels, along with other screenplays written by Greenburg and de Marigny. To date, the duo have completed three full length feature screenplays - Cris De Niro: The Watchman, Glory League, and the Renaissance drama Leonardo. They also created treatments for Aperture: The Dorothea Lange Story and Grizzly Adams: The Gold Rush Years.
Prior to his writing career, Gerard worked in the financial services industry, and prior to that, he wrote, recorded and produced music for other artists, for television and was a member of the rock band, Americade. He is a graduate of Penn State University. Gerard and his wife Lisa have four children and live in the foothills of Las Vegas, Nevada with their four cats.
