Stars: Tyrese Gibson, John Malkovich, Christopher Backus, Luna Lauren Velez, Holly Taylor, Brandi Bravo, Carlos S. Sanchez | Written by Mickey Solis | Directed by Jon Keeyes
Kyle Snowden (Tyrese Gibson) is a single father taking care of his young daughter while struggling to cope with Ptsd following his harrowing service in the marines. When a gun-toting gang take over one of his stepfather Sam Nelson’s (John Malkovich) grocery stores, he’s forced to take matters into his own hands, using his well-honed skills to save innocent hostages and topple the militia leader Egan.
How best to describe Rogue Hostage? Well; the title gives a lot away already but how about “a former soldier turned social worker suffering from Ptsd gets tangled up in Die Hard in a supermarket…” Yeah that’s a succinct as you can get. If I’m honest there’s not much more to say about the film.

"I'm a product of chaos!" Vertical Entertainment has released an official trailer for an action thriller titled Rogue Hostage, the latest from filmmaker Jon Keeyes. This hasn't played at any film festivals and is dropping in theaters + on VOD starting this summer. Rogue Hostage stars Tyrese Gibson as a single father and former Marine who gets caught up in a hostage situation involving a dangerous domestic terrorist. Locked inside a local store, he must fight back to save his family and his step-father, and the lives of everyone else inside there. The film's cast includes John Malkovich (!!), Holly Taylor, Michael Jai White, Luna Lauren Velez, John D. Hickman, Leslie Stratton, and Christopher Backus as the main bad guy. This doesn't look that great, basically Die Hard-but-with-Tyrese-instead set inside of a home goods store. Might still be a fun watch? Worth a look at least. Here's the official trailer ...

"Every minute gets him closer to the truth." Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for a crime thriller film titled 10 Minutes Gone, the latest by mediocre action filmmaker Brian A. Miller (he also made Backtrace with Stallone last year). 10 Minutes Gone is a crime thriller that centers on a man whose memory has been lost due to a bank heist gone wrong. Frank must piece together the missing 10 minutes from his memory in order to determine who sabotaged him, confronting his team members one-by-one before the boss takes him out. Michael Chiklis stars as Frank, with Bruce Willis, Meadow Williams, Kyle Schmid, Texas Battle, Lydia Hull, Swen Temmel, John D. Hickman, Sergio Rizzuto, Geoff Reeves, and Tyler Jon Olson. This looks as bland and forgettable as everything Brian A. Miller makes, despite the two leading actors. And the awkward "trailer voice" in this is cringe-worthy. "So much for honor among thieves,...

An intense trailer has been released for the upcoming thriller Burn, which is described as a “contained thriller following a lonely female gas station attendant who must face a desperate man who tries to rob the store. When the heist goes wrong, she takes the opportunity to make a connection with the man.”
The movie actually looks really good and is set entirely at a gas station. It stars Josh Hutcherson as Billy, who after attempting to rob a gas station, ends up being tied to a chair by the two gas station employees, Suki Waterhouse and Tilda Cobham-Hervey, and trapped in a back room where they try to figure out what to do with him.
The movie was directed by USC graduate Mike Gan and also stars Harry Shum Jr., Shiloh Fernandez, Wayne Pyle, John D. Hickman, Rob Figueroa, and James Devoti.
The movie is set to be released on August 23rd!

"Let's get out of here while we still can – together." Momentum Pictures has unveiled an official trailer for a contained thriller tilted just Burn, set entirely at a gas station one night. It's the feature directorial debut of USC graduate Mike Gan, telling the story of a misguided crook who tries to rob the gas station. But he gets more than he bargained for when the employee fights back, scolding him with a pot of hot coffee then tying him up to a chair. The two gas station workers then try to connect with the robber before the cops arrive. And then what? Starring Josh Hutcherson as Billy, with Suki Waterhouse, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Harry Shum Jr., Shiloh Fernandez, Wayne Pyle, John D. Hickman, Rob Figueroa, and James Devoti. This seems like a concept for Gan to showcase his talent, and it looks like it has some clever twists. Here's the...
