After some alums of The View have aired their critiques of ABC’s daytime talk show, Sunny Hostin is giving her take. “I’m always surprised when people speak negatively about our show, if I’m being honest,” she told Us Weekly recently. “You are part of a sisterhood. It’s really special.” Hostin, a full-tune View cohost since 2016, added: “We are all close, regardless of our personal views. We leave all of that at the table. So I’m always surprised when someone says, ‘I don’t like that person.’ Because it’s never personal.” Alyssa Farah Griffin, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Sara Haines (ABC) For Hostin, the hosts should feel a baseline of respect on the show. “Barbara Walters made sure I knew that when I joined,” she said. “Whoopi [Goldberg] says that all the time. The View hosts had to evacuate their studio due to a fire that started next door. Tamron Hall had a fire started in her studio, and everyone had to evacuate the building. Whoopi Goldberg, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Griffin are the hosts of the show and had to leave the building immediately. They were getting ready to perform their show when they had to leave.

Andy Cohen is the most recent celebrity to address his comments surrounding Kate Middleton made while she was recovering from abdominal surgery.
The Watch What Happens Live host returned to his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy, after a week off the air and made it a point to address his jokes about Middleton prior to her reveal that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.
Among other comments made on Instagram, Cohen had written on X (formerly Twitter) that a reported sighting of Middleton amid rumors of her disappearance was fake. “That ain’t Kate….” his message read.
“I just want to say, I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate,” Cohen said on Monday’s episode. “And I think someone on Sky News called me a ‘numpty’ during that whole conversation, and they were right.”

After Kate Middleton revealed she is battling cancer following heightened speculation about her whereabouts and health, many took to social media to react to the news.
In a video shared on social media Friday, the Princess of Wales detailed, “In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful; however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” the Princess of Wales said in a video update shared on social media. She said that she has begun a course of preventative chemotherapy treatment.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” Middleton said in the video. “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken us time for me...

Congress once again got pretty close to a physical brawl during a committee meeting this week, and the women of “The View” were disgusted — but also a little amused — by it on Wednesday morning. For host Sara Haines, it was reminiscent of a certain someone who went viral on “Dr. Phil.”
On Tuesday, Congressman Tim Burchett said he “got elbowed in the back” by Kevin McCarthy, while Senator Bernie Sanders had to actually break up a fight between Oklahoma senator Markwayne Mullin and the president of the Teamsters union, Sean O’Brien.
After a disagreement, Mullin said “You want to run your mouth? We can be two consenting adults. We can finish it here,” and challenged O’Brien to “stand your butt up.”
“Why did they all turn into the ‘catch me outside’ girl?” Haines mocked. “Like, they’re literally ready to beat the crap out of every single one of them.

Alyssa Farah Griffin thinks Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might have some serial killer tendencies in him — or, at least one. On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” the ABC host dragged the current presidential candidate for apparently having a tendency to work out while wearing jeans.
The assertion came as Farah Griffin and her co-hosts discussed a recent photo of Kennedy, which appeared to show him returning from an airplane bathroom barefoot. And no, he didn’t take his shoes and socks off in the bathroom; apparently he entered it that way.
“For a man who’s so concerned with what he puts in his body, he’s gonna need a tetanus shot!” Sara Haines joked, referring to the fact that Rfk Jr. remains a vocal anti-vaxxer.
But, according to Alyssa Farah Griffin, this isn’t even Kennedy’s weirdest habit.

After what was reportedly a chaotic scene as Trump testified in court on Monday, the hosts of “The View” are a bit stunned that the disgraced ex-president wasn’t held in contempt for his actions.
Discussing Trump’s behavior on Tuesday morning, moderator Whoopi Goldberg first mocked the complaints of Trump’s lawyer, pretending to weep for her. But, really digging into the matter, Whoopi and her cohosts were once again convinced that there’s a double standard in play for Trump.
“Everybody in this audience knows, had we ever said or done anything like this to a judge in court? We would be underneath,” Whoopi said. “Americans, regardless of what their belief system is, don’t like a double standard.”
Meanwhile, host Sunny Hostin, a former federal prosecutor herself, was simply stunned that Trump’s behavior was allowed at all.

The women of “The View” may not put much faith into polls, but the latest one from The New York Times and Siena admittedly has them a bit worried for 2024. The ABC hosts argued on Monday that Democrats need to “wake up” and see there’s a “real” chance that Trump could beat Biden next year, and fight it.
According to the latest poll, Trump leads Biden in five out of six battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Pennsylvania. For host Alyssa Farah Griffin, that’s enough to trigger actual concern.
“Polls aren’t perfect, and I was a victim of thinking the red wave was coming and it certainly didn’t materialize,” she noted. “But I do think there’s enough here that it needs to be a wake up call to Democrats that Donald Trump could beat Joe Biden.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin knows that not everyone will always agree with her takes on “The View.” But, if she ever gets to a point where she’s saying objectively crazy things, she simply wants to be dragged away from the table, and taken outside “Old Yeller style.”

Sidney Powell pleaded guilty on Thursday to six misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties, and agreed to testify against any of her co-defendants — including Donald Trump. And, according to “The View” host Alyssa Farah Griffin, this is a “huge” turn in the Fulton County case.
As the women of “The View” discussed Powell’s plea on Friday morning, host Ana Navarro first took a moment to sing some of Queen’s hit song “Another One Bites The Dust,” celebrating the fact that yet another former Trump ally flipped on him. The hosts of “The View” were pretty pleased with President Biden on Wednesday morning, after he unequivocally condemned the terrorist attacks by Hamas in Israel. The women were decidedly less impressed with Rep. Matt Gaetz, with Alyssa Farah Griffin calling him out for “holding congress hostage.”

“Naked Attraction” continues to be a Hot Topic on “The View” (whether Whoopi Goldberg likes it or not), and on Thursday, it led to a blunt statement from Joy Behar to her cohost, Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Donald Trump showed up to court for his civil trial in New York on Monday, but the women of “The View” are pretty sure there’s only one reason for that. According to the ABC hosts, it simply comes down to protecting his appearance of wealth.
The current case in New York asserts that Trump over-valued his real estate assets while growing his empire, resulting in better deals from the banks. If he’s found liable, the four-time criminally indicted former president stands to lose several properties to pay off what he owes, including Trump Tower and Mar-a-Lago.
Discussing the civil case on Tuesday, host Sunny Hostin argued that “the reason he even showed up at this is because this threatens everything about his alleged empire, which he doesn’t really have, we all know.”

Alyssa Farah Griffin wasn’t overly pleased on “The View” on Thursday, as she started getting played off to commercial mid-sentence. But when her co-hosts encouraged her to finish the thought, she simply stopped altogether, saying she still “had a lot more to say.”

Senator John Fetterman has been spending his week trolling Republican colleagues on X, and “The View” host Alyssa Farah Griffin isn’t impressed. According to the ABC host, it’s very “Marjorie Taylor Greene-like behavior,” and all politicians need to stop indulging in it.

If President Biden wants Black voters to come out in support of him in 2024, he better not be thinking of running without Kamala Harris — at least, that’s what “The View” host Sunny Hostin argued on Thursday.
Her assertion came as she and her co-hosts discussed an interview Sen. Nancy Pelosi gave CNN this week, in which she was asked point-blank (twice) by Anderson Cooper if she thinks Kamala Harris is the best running mate for Biden in 2024. In response, Pelosi replied that “he thinks so, and that’s what matters,” and lauded Harris for being “politically astute.”
Hostin pointed out that, in 2020, Biden earned 91% percent of the Black vote, and swore that Black people would come out and support him again — if Kamala Harris is his running mate.
“I would be very careful, President Biden, about getting rid of Kamala Harris. Because we will not support you,” she said bluntly.

The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg brought a political discussion – and today’s episode – to a weird, out-of-the-blue halt today when she stunned co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin by asking, “Are you pregnant?”
“No!,” a surprised and embarrassed Griffin said, laughing and adding, “Oh my god! You can’t say that when my mother-in-law is here, who’s been dying for me to get pregnant!”
The question clearly surprised the other panelists. “Why would you say that?,” co-host Joy Behar said as the audience responded in off-guard laughter.
“Why, do I look pregnant?,” a laughing Farah Griffin asked, to which Goldberg responded, “Yes, I just got a vibe. I’m so sorry.”
“I’m very open to being pregnant soon,” Farah Griffin said. “I am not blessed to be pregnant yet. My husband and I are thinking about it.”
The personal question came during a discussion about Mitt Romney’s decision to not seek another Senate term.

The day’s Hot Topics discussion kicked off with the women discussing Mitt Romney’s announcement that he doesn’t plan to retire, and applauding the decision, but mourning the “rot” of the Republican party. But, as Whoopi was giving her insights on the state of things, she suddenly got distracted.
“The toughest thing for me has been to watch the disregard for people — are you pregnant?” she said, visibly startling Farah Griffin, and earning an outburst of laughter from the audience.
“No! Oh my god!” Farah Griffin said clutching her chest, before hiding her immediately flushed cheeks. “You can’t say that when my mother-in-law is here, who’s been dying for me to get pregnant!

Matthew McConaughey stopped by “The View” on Tuesday and, in perhaps the oddest turn of events, ended up massaging host Joy Behar’s foot right there at the table. Though it was undeniably odd, it may not have been a surprising turn of events, considering it’s not the first time it’s happened.
During his appearance, host Alyssa Farah Griffin reminded McConaughey that, when he was there in 2006, he ended up giving Behar a foot massage during the show. Behar called it “a highlight of my life” as they played the clip back.
So, it was perhaps inevitable when Behar suddenly smiled and said, “It just so happens I got a pedicure this week,” and once again lifted her bare foot to McConaughey.
The actor went along with the bit though, blowing on his hands and diving right in to give her yet another massage.

After a pretty Pda-heavy appearance at the Women’s U.S. Open, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner are once again the talk of social media. And though “The View” hosts don’t totally understand why anyone cares about this pairing, host Alyssa Farah Griffin joked on Tuesday that Chalamet could just be a “rebound” for Jenner, given her sister’s history.
In discussing the topic on Tuesday’s episode, moderator Whoopi Goldberg — who notoriously doesn’t enjoy more gossip-y Hot Topics — was visibly confused about why anyone has questioned Jenner’s relationship with Chalamet, saying, “What does it have to do with you?”
Farah Griffin then explained that, because Jenner is a reality star and Chalamet “is seen as, like, a high-brow actor, or whatever,” people think it doesn’t make sense for them to be together. But Farah Griffin offered a theory.

“The View” will welcome back all of its co-hosts next season, keeping moderator Whoopi Goldberg at the table alongside fellow returnees Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro for Season 27, Variety has learned exclusively.
The co-hosts’ return for another season comes as “The View” ended the 2022-2023 TV season on a high note, ranking No. 1 among all daytime talk shows among both households and total viewers.
“The View” averaged 2.375 million total viewers for the season, per Nielsen. That topped all other network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news programs, including the syndicated “Live With Kelly and Mark,” which in its first year with Mark Consuelos as Kelly Ripa’s cohost ranked in second place in daytime, averaging 2.293 million total viewers.

Republicans continue to be outraged over President Biden’s son, Hunter, but at this point, Alyssa Farah Griffin has some advice for them: let it go. During Thursday’s episode of “The View,” the ABC host told her entire party that their obsession with the younger Biden can’t become “our whole personality.”
That sentiment came as Farah Griffin and her co-hosts were discussing Hunter Biden’s plea deal to tax and gun crimes, which fell apart in the 11th hour on Wednesday. Republicans have long claimed it was “a sweetheart deal” anyway, and are now hoping that the punishment becomes more severe.
But, Farah Griffin is tired of hearing about Hunter Biden at this point.
“I do think there’s probably corruption, I do think he probably traded off his name, but to my friends in the GOP, we can’t make this our whole personality,” she said.

Whoopi Goldberg took aim at conservative commentators who’ve been complaining that “Barbie” is not only “woke,” but “emasculating” to men.
During the episode, various clips of right-wing criticism of “Barbie” was shown, including complaints that “the left has given Barbie a complete feminist makeover,” that the film is nothing more than “angry feminist claptrap” and, most bizarrely, Texas Senator Ted Cruz accusing moviemakers of “trying to kiss up to the Chinese Communist Party…”
Responding to that criticism, Goldberg did not hold back.

Much media attention has been paid to conservative figures such as Ben Shapiro and Ted Cruz being outraged over Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie. Even Elon Musk jointed the anti-“Barbie” brigade by mocking the film for taking aim at the patriarchy. “If you take a shot every time Barbie says the word ‘Patriarchy,’ you will pass out before the movie ends,” Musk posted.
Whoopi Goldberg is here for none of it. On the latest episode of “The View” (via People), the Egot winner told off conservatives who are so upset by “Barbie.”

Whether the 2024 Republican presidential nominee is Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis, Ana Navarro thinks Joe Biden can beat either one of them — but especially DeSantis. That’s because, according to the host of “The View,” DeSantis’ hyperfixation on those who are “woke” has “become a joke.”
Navarro’s thoughts came as she and her co-hosts were discussing No Labels, the political party created specifically to promote centrism and bipartisanship. Navarro dubbed it “the stupidest thing ever,” and her co-hosts largely agreed. But host Alyssa Farah Griffin did have a theory about it.
“I do think that the fact that Democrats are panicking so much over No Labels is them recognizing that Joe Biden is really only strong against Donald Trump,” Farah Griffin said. “With any other Republican candidate, I think that they realize it’s a much harder race for them.”

Greg Gutfeld may bring up the ladies of “The View” pretty often during his namesake late night show on Fox News, but apparently, they don’t have any idea who he is. During Thursday’s episode of the ABC talk show, host Joy Behar admitted she’s “never heard of him.”
Gutfeld came up as the women discussed Geraldo Rivera’s exit this week from Fox News’ afternoon program “The Five,” which Rivera said happened due to “a growing tension that goes beyond editorial differences.” But, Behar noted that she doesn’t totally believe that Rivera left voluntarily, especially because it’s “hard to sit there with these people who are spewing lies.”

Joy Behar has a suggestion for Donald Trump’s next set of Pride merchandise: change what the G stands for in his typical “Make America Great Again” slogan.

One member of congress even tried to claim it violated U.S. flag code, which it did not.

In light of a new report that twice-impeached, once-indicted former president Donald Trump was caught on tape talking about classified documents he had in his possession, “The View” host Alyssa Farah Griffin is feeling much more optimistic about the chance of her former boss going to prison.

Donald Trump wants more airtime on CNN and is proposing the news network a second town hall.
The former president of the United States brought in the numbers for CNN earlier this month during a town hall moderated by Kaitlan Collins. According to Nielsen ratings, Trump brought in a total of 3.3 million viewers, outpacing its cable rivals Fox News and MSNBC during the same time slot.
In a post on Truth Social on May 20, Trump called the town hall “absolutely lovely” and said it was one of CNN’s “biggest ratings nights in years.”
“CNN, let’s do another one?” he proposed.
Trump’s proposal came as the Republican went on a tirade against The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who also contributes to CNN and also formerly served in the Trump Administration.
“Word is that they are revolting at the View and CNN, and want Farrah [sic] Out!” Trump posted.

After a jury found twice-impeached-once-indicted former president Donald Trump liable for sexual battery and defamation, Alyssa Farah Griffin has high expectations for her political party. According to “The View” host, “every Republican” who criticized Bill Clinton for his sexual scandals should have the “same energy” for Trump.
On Tuesday, a jury ruled in favor of E. Jean Carroll, a magazine columnist who alleged that Trump raped her in the dressing room of a department store in 1996. Though the jury did not affirm her claim that Trump raped her, they did find him liable of sexual battery and defamation, ordering Trump to pay Carroll $5 million in damages.
And, while Farah Griffin has been vocal about her pessimism for how Trump’s ongoing legal troubles will actually impact his political future, she argued on Wednesday that this should be a turning point for Republicans.

As the country reels from and grieves yet another mass shooting, this time in Allen, Texas, Whoopi Goldberg got blunt on Monday’s episode of “The View.” According to the moderator, politicians are simply “not gonna do” anything about gun reform.
After a gunman opened fire at Allen Premium Outlets in Texas on Saturday, eight people were left dead. As has become routine after mass shootings, most of the state’s major lawmakers, including Gov. Greg Abbott, and Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn — who all have A+ ratings from the NRA — have rebuked the idea of any gun reform, and instead blamed mental health issues, despite the fact that, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, mental illness only contributes to roughly 4% of all violence, and Abbott himself cut funding to mental health resources.

If the 2024 presidential election once again comes down to President Joe Biden and twice-impeached-once-indicted former president Donald Trump, “The View” host Alyssa Farah Griffin won’t be voting for either of them. On Wednesday morning’s episode of “The View,” the host admitted that she’d likely write someone in.
Her statement came as the women at the table discussed Biden’s announcement on Tuesday morning that he is officially running for reelection in 2024, in hopes to “finish the job” he started in 2020. In announcing his campaign, Biden ran a new ad, calling out Republican handling of issues like LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, and more.
For Farah Griffin, that ad “signals to me that Joe Biden is chomping at the bit to run against Trump or Ron DeSantis,” because of the specific issues Biden’s team chose to target.

After three young people were shot this week simply for making a mistake, the hosts of “The View” were exhausted on Friday morning. During the Hot Topics discussion, host Alyssa Farah Griffin argued that at least one factor in these shootings are politicians “making us hate people we disagree with.”
Throughout the conversation, the women at the table reiterated their feelings on gun control, once again saying that there need to be limitations. But more than that, they were baffled that people have adopted a “shoot first, question later” mentality.
Host Sara Haines argued that it’s definitely a gun problem, but also “a male problem,” pointing out that every shooter in these cases was a man. But, she argued that there are bigger issues feeding this mentality, like adult entertainment, video games, and the collapse of morality in the church.

There are exactly six people who have officially declared their candidacy for president in 2024 at this point, and the hosts of “The View” aren’t impressed by any of them.
To kick off Thursday morning’s Hot Topics discussion on ABC, the women first focused on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has yet to officially say he’s running for president but is largely expected to do so.

But looking at the actual candidate pool at large, the women of “The View” didn’t see any true contenders. Most recently, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. declared he’s running as a Democrat for president in 2024, and Alyssa Farah Griffin and Joy Behar were quick to point out that he’s “looney tunes.

Though twice-impeached former president Donald Trump has been continually ramping up his attacks on Ron DeSantis, in preparation for DeSantis potentially running against him for president in 2024, the Florida governor largely hasn’t fired back. But, even if he did, the hosts of “The View” are pretty sure he’d miss, specifically because “he’s a dweeb.”
In discussing DeSantis once more on Wednesday’s episode, Alyssa Farah Griffin reiterated her opinion on the Florida governor, and how good a chance he’d actually have in competing against Trump.
“I have been saying at this table for months, I think Ron DeSantis is the most overhyped politician in America,” she said. “I think this notion that he’s who’s gonna save the GOP from Trump, and he’s gonna score the nomination, it’s overhyped! He had a good midterm election being re-elected in Florida–“

With the now very real threat of indictment looming over twice-impeached former President Donald Trump, Republicans are once again circling around him and defending him — including Nikki Haley. And considering she’s actively campaigning against her former boss, Alyssa Farah Griffin was baffled by this move Tuesday on “The View.”
To kick off the day’s Hot Topics, the hosts played a supercut of GOP figures supporting Trump, including Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley.
“When you get into political prosecutions like this, it’s more about revenge than it is about justice,” Haley said. Meanwhile, the hosts of “The View” chuckled at how DeSantis’ defense of Trump was a bit backhanded, considering how, before he defended Trump, he said “I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I just, I can’t speak to that.

We might be used to seeing her mostly on “The View” these days, but former Trump White House administrator and Republican political pundit Alyssa Farah Griffin swung into “CNN This Morning” to speak with Don Lemon about the Thursday report from the New York Times indicating an indictment of the former president in his Stormy Daniels case is forthcoming.
Farah Griffin, who was once a special assistant to Donald Trump and press secretary to former vice president Mike Pence, said that were they to come down, she envisions such charges “might help” his 2024 presidential run, adding that “something like this is hardly going to be Trump’s undoing.”
“Can we talk about this possible indictment? Look, [it’s] not a slam dunk — everyone is like, ‘Is it coming? Is it coming?’ We don’t know for sure, but that’s what they said: The winds are heading that way,” Lemon said in his set-up.

Twice-impeached former president Donald Trump has been invited to testify to a grand jury about his involvement in hush money paid to Stormy Daniels, and the hosts of “The View” smell blood in the water. On Friday morning, the women delighted in the possibility that, of all the things Trump has done, it may be “one night with a porn star” that gets him criminally charged.
“He still denies the affair and any wrongdoing. But after all the horrible things he’s done on a national and global scale, will it be one night with a porn star that puts him behind bars? Oh, the irony is so delicious,” Behar said with a grin, to kick off the Hot Topics discussion.
The development in this particular investigation came on Thursday, as first reported by the New York Times. So, during Friday’s episode of “The View,” host and former federal...

In new filings from Dominion Voting Systems, even more messages from Fox hosts were revealed, including ones where Tucker Carlson admitted he hates Donald Trump. And on Wednesday morning’s episode of “The View,” host Sunny Hostin couldn’t help but laugh at the latest developments.
The court filings from Dominion Voting Systems were made public on Tuesday as part of their ongoing $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News. In the filings, it was revealed that Carlson sent messages two days before the Jan. 6 attack, saying, “We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait.” Another message revealed said, “I hate him passionately.”
“I didn’t realize I had so much in common with Tucker!” host Joy Behar joked during “The View.” But, she later amended that statement, saying, “Truthfully, I don’t even hate Trump passionately. I hate him dispassionately.

As twice-impeached former President Donald Trump continues on his campaign trail in a third attempt at the presidency, “The View” host Alyssa Farah Griffin is pretty sure that he’ll throw the biggest temper tantrum possible if he doesn’t score the 2024 GOP nomination. In fact, she think’s he’ll “burn the entirety” of the party “to the ground.”
During Monday’s episode of “The View,” the women kicked off their Hot Topics with a discussion on the possibility of GOP candidates being forced to sign a loyalty pledge in 2024, stating that they’ll support whoever ends up getting the Republican nomination. According to RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel, the pledge is “kind of a no-brainer.”
“If you’re going to be on the Republican National Committee debate stage, asking voters to support you, you should say I’m going to support the voters and who they choose as the nominee,...
