After last night's final performances, Team Usher's Josh Kaufman was declared the winner of season 6 of The Voice, beating out Team Adam Levine's Christina Grimmie and Team Blake Shelton's Jake Worthington.
At the top of the show, Carson Daly announced that there was a glitch with the iTunes charts. Noticably missing from the Top 10 yesterday was Josh Kaufman’s cover of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain.” To ensure fairness, all of the iTunes downloads that were supposed to count as votes for the finalists were taken out of the final tally – meaning only online voting, calls, etc. counted as votes. According to Carson, taking the iTunes downloads out of the final tally did not affect the outcome. In other news, Adam publicly announced that he would sign Christina Grimmie to his record label after the show.

The Voice narrowed down its contestants to a Top 8, with Tess Boyer and Bria Kelly getting the boot and Kat Perkins receiving the #VoiceSave in this week’s live eliminations.
But first, the good news: Carson Daly opened the show with the announcement that Gwen Stefani and Pharrell would be coaching in season 7 alongside returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, with Christina Aguilera rumored to be returning for Season 8 in the spring.
Team Usher kicked off the night with a group performance. Usher, Bria Kelly and Josh Kaufman sang Lenny Kravitz’s “Always on the Run.”
After their fun performance, the first round of saves is announced. From Team Adam, Christina Grimmie was declared safe. America’s votes saved Sisaundra Lewis from Team Blake, Kristen Merlin from Team Shakira and Josh Kaufman from Team Usher, so every coach still has an artist moving forward into next week’s live performances.

The Top 10 artists performed in Monday’s live episode of The Voice, with Christina Grimmie showing off her musical ability and Blake Shelton getting into trouble with his Bff Adam Levine.
The night began with a performance by the UK band Rixton, which is comprised of young men who look like a slightly edgier version of One Direction, bonus points: they play their own instruments and generally seem more talented and less pop.
To help his artists this week, Adam called in his buddy Graham Nash (Crosby, Stills & Nash). Adam and Nash work with Kat Perkins, hoping to expose her sensitive side to the public with Fleetwod Mac’s “Landslide.” Kat doesn’t quite nail the low notes, but her performance is solid and the judges are impressed that she was able to strip down her rocker style and give an acoustic performance. Her performance had Kat in tears by the end,...

Last week, The Voice said goodbye to Dani Moz and T.J. Wilkins. Not really a shocker for either of them to leave, but I have a feeling that this round is going to see someone with the potential to win go home ... mainly because everyone left in the Top 10 is pretty darn awesome!
Will my boy Josh Kaufman dominate again this week? Or will an underdog like Audra or Delvin creep up from behind to steal the spotlight?...

Twitter took center stage Tuesday night during The Voice's adrenaline-fueled live results show kickoff, which featured new twists that confused even one of the coaches.
The somewhat controversial Twitter instant save returned for a second season, but with an added feature: The artists in the bottom three would have one last chance to save themselves by performing another song, just before another online vote.

The Voice narrowed down the field to a Top 10, and Dani Moz, Tj Wilkins and Tess Boyer ended up in the bottom three in the first live eliminations.
Team Adam was the first team to perform together: Delvin Choice, Kat Perkins and Christina Grimmie performed “Sledgehammer” with their coach Adam Levine.
After their performance, it was time to announce the first saves of the night. From Team Usher, no surprise, Josh Kaufman was quickly ushered into the next rounds. America also saved Kat Perkins from Team Adam.
Kristen Merlin from Team Shakira also sailed through to the next live rounds, no doubt due to her impressive performance Monday night, when she sang through her mic cutting out in the middle of the song. Audra McLaughlin was also saved by the viewers, as were Jake Worthington, Delvin Choice, Bria Kelly, Christina Grimmie and Sisaundra Lewis.

Tonight on The Voice, two contestants will go home, narrowing the competition from 12 to 10. The bottom three will be revealed and, for the first time, will perform before the Twitter save will be implemented. Plus, Shakira performs along with Adam, Blake and their teams!
We predicted that, based on iTunes sales, Dani Moz, T.J. Wilkins and Bria Kelly will be in the bottom three. If this is the case, I hope that Dani will be saved, but with Bria's massive Twitter following, she may be the one.

Usher picked his top three to move on to the live shows in the final episode of the Playoffs on The Voice.
Tj Wilkins was up first, singing “Tell Me Somethin’ Good” by Chaka Khan & Rufus. Tj is a soul singer to his core, and the song shows off his strengths. Adam Levine compliments Tj for his ability to entertain, even while giving a somewhat subdued performance, and Shakira notes that the high note he hit at the end was the perfect trick to finish off the performance.
Melissa Jimenez decided to sing “Halo” by Beyoncé, a song choice that is certainly a risk for Melissa. In rehearsals, Melissa says she wants to “strip down” the track, hoping to let her vocals shine. Unfortunately for Melissa, she doesn’t have the power that Beyoncé has, though she nails the high notes towards the end of her performance. Adam and Shakira...

The Voice season 6 was finally narrowed down to the top 20 on Monday night, with the last night of the second round of battles, and marking the end of the pre-recorded performances.
'The Voice' Recap: Final Battles Of Season 6
To kick it off, Clarissa Serna and Dani Moz of Team Shakira had to battle it out with either “Perfect” by Pink, “The Edge of Glory” by Lady Gaga or Kelly Clarkson’s “Catch My Breath.” The girls go with “Perfect,” and, though they appear evenly matched in rehearsals, during the battle Dani steals the spotlight. The judges are pretty unanimous in their support of Dani, and Shakira sent Clarissa home.
Team Adam Levine members Dawn & Hawkes were next, battling it out against Kat Perkins with KT Turnstall’s “Suddenly I See.” It’s tough for Kat to go up against a duo, especially with such an underwhelming battle song.

Time to finish up the final battles of Round 1 on "The Voice" Season 6, with Usher as the only judge with a steal to use.
Battle 1: Cary Laine vs. Sam Behymer (Team Adam)

Sam's voice better for this song, Cary would have been more suited to a country song, maybe, but they both have a couple pitch issues here and there. The part where they sing together in harmony is nice, but this was not the most outstanding battle. Neither biffed it, but neither really shined brightly either. We would pick Sam but that's only a matter of taste, this one really is a toss-up.
Winner: Adam chooses Sam and Usher does not steal Cary, which is not a huge surprise.
