Yesterday was the fourth day of filming for Deadpool on the closed Georgia Viaduct in Vancouver, and you'll never guess who was on set... Ryan Reynolds, in full costume! Okay, so we might have seen the Canadian actor suited up on set almost everyday this week. However, the latest photos from Vancity Buzz show the Merc With A Mouth retiring his guns, and finally using his katana swords which he's named Bea & Arthur (see), according to a recent tweet from Reynolds himself. Meanwhile, in between takes, local news station CBC spoke with one of the executive producers on Deadpool named Aditya Sood, who had discussed the "critical" sequence that has closed the busy Georgia Viaduct for nearly two weeks, and also how it relates to the leaked test footage. "There's a sequence in our film that requires us to be on a highway," explained Sood. "So, this was the best...

20th Century Fox is hoping to get Ridley Scott to direct Matt Damon in The Martian. This is the film that was originally suppose to be directed by Drew Goddard, but he left the project to focus on the Spider-Man spin-off, Sinister Six. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better replacement.
According to THR, Scott is in negotiations to direct the "outer space adventure project." He'll also serve as producer, along with Simon Kinberg and Aditya Sood, who originally found the book the movie is based on.
The Martian is based on Andy Weir's 2012 e-book publication. The synopses goes:
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars.
Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there.
After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and...

Ridley Scott has begun negotiations to replace Drew Goddard as the director of "The Martian" at 20th Century Fox.
An adaptation of Andy Weir's e-book, the story follows an astronaut who becomes stranded on Mars and must figure out how to survive long enough to return to Earth. Despite the setting, insiders say it's quite different from the tone of Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" and more along the lines of "Cast Away".
Goddard, who wrote the adapted screenplay, departed last month due to his commitments to Sony's "Sinister Six". At the same time Matt Damon came onboard "The Martian" to star and Damon is still attached.
Scott, Simon Kinberg and Aditya Sood will produce but there's no word on a production schedule as yet.

Andrew Weir’s “The Martian” was marketed as being like Cast Away meets Apollo 13. But the movie version is certainly going to be compared to Gravity. The premise of the novel sees an astronaut stranded alone on Mars as he struggles to survive until a Nasa rescue mission arrives. Since he’s at least on ground, we can say it has a bit of Moon or even better Robinson Crusoe on Mars. But The Martian won’t have a monkey, and also Gravity is such a big deal after raking in so much money and Oscars that 20th Century Fox will be hoping for something more along the lines of Alfonso Cuaron’s outer space disaster thriller, especially if it’s even half as successful. Fortunately, two new valuable assets have joined the mission. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ridley Scott is set to return to space for the adaptation, which...
