Born in Oakland, Ca, Dasha started singing at the age of 5. Shortly
after, she merged her natural love for singing with her curiosity in
acting and started doing local musical theater at the age of 12.
Throughout high school, she was involved in the arts; heading the drama
club and starring in school and city productions.
While at UCLA she studied Jazz, where she was
handpicked by Kenny Burrell, landing 1 of 8 spots in UCLA's
Ethnomusicology Jazz Vocal program. She graduated in 2007 with a concentration in World Music.
During her time at UCLA she directed, wrote and starred in
various productions on campus.
Upon graduating, she quickly entered her field and started to work in
children's theater, where she worked with kids in regards to bullying,
personal safety and proper social behavior.
