José Luis Esquivel is a distinguished composer, producer, orchestrator, and music supervisor. He holds a degree in Digital Music Production Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, a specialization in Orchestration and Music Supervision from Berklee College of Music, and a master's in Cinematic Arts from Centro de Cultura Casa LAMM. Esquivel has studied under Tim Davies, known for his work on "Frozen," "Maya and The Three," and "Cabinet of Curiosities."
Esquivel's notable works include Cierva Blanca, premiered by Argentina Durán of the Mexican National Symphony Orchestra; Chilpayate, performed by the Pasco Symphony Orchestra; Mariposa de Obsidiana, winner of the Felipe Villanueva composition contest; and Tochtli, debuted by the Latin American Orchestra at the Palace of Fine Arts. His contributions to film, television, and theatre have earned him accolades such as Best Orchestral Composition for Film (2014), Best Original Score at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival (2019), and a nomination for Best Soundtrack at the Oniros Film Festival Italy (2019).
