Dian Gomes
Dian Gomes is a Group Director of MAS Holdings (Pvt) Ltd; a USD 1.6 Billion enterprise, and the Managing Director of the Group's largest Business Division, MAS Intimates. Dian also plays the crucial role of overseeing Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Branding and CSR of MAS Holdings; which employs over 72,000 associates in 15 countries in diversified areas ranging from pioneering apparel manufacturing in South Asia to fashion and lifestyle, retail, education and apparel related IT services.
A Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and Certified Practicing Accountants (Australia), he received his Executive Education at Wharton, Ashridge and Harvard Business Schools. Dian was President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) - Sri Lanka Division in 2001/2002 and presently sits on the Boards of many private and government organizations.
His versatile interests apart from business saw him take over the Presidency of the Amateur Boxing Association of Sri Lanka from 2004-2009, during which he provided strategic leadership and direction to guide Sri Lanka to a significant standing in international boxing. Dian currently serves as the Vice President of the National Olympic Committee and as the President of the National Fencing Association. He also sits in the Women's Commission in the Amateur International Boxing Association (AIBA). His commitment to the development of sports across the country is renowned in local and overseas forums. He has represented Sri Lanka at numerous international sporting events in the capacity of Chef de Mission, including the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. In 2013, he became the first Sri Lankan to be appointed as one of the 14 Members of the Commonwealth Advisory Body on Sport (CABOS), the key sports policy advisory body to the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Dian's keen eye on spotting talent in the sporting and business arenas also sparks when it comes to art and crafts, supporting talented local artists and artisans through the platform of Gandhara.
