Jon Cryer isn’t jumping at the idea of a Two and a Half Men reboot with Charlie Sheen.
During a recent appearance on The View, the actor was asked if he thought there could be an opportunity for a reboot of the hit CBS sitcom, which ran from 2003 to 2015, in the future.
“Oh gosh, oh gosh. Yeah, I don’t know how that happens,” Cryer admitted. “I mean the thing is, Charlie is doing a lot better now which is wonderful. He and I have not spoken in a few years but he’s doing a lot better, which obviously I am happy about. And obviously, Chuck Lorre, who produced Two and a Half Men… one of the hardest things for him when Two and a Half Men fell apart the way it did was he really thought he was friends with Charlie. And that he lost that was really hard for him.

Could a Two and a Half Men reunion be on the cards? Jon Cryer isn’t ruling out the possibility, especially now that the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, and lead star, Charlie Sheen, have patched up their differences. Speaking to ETOnline, Cryer, who played Alan Harper on all 262 episodes of the hit CBS sitcom, said of a potential reunion, “I’m not going to rule anything out, but I haven’t talked to Charlie.” “I’m really glad they made up,” he continued, referring to Lorre and Sheen putting their past problems behind them. “I can only say for Chuck, clearly. He has the enormous relief of somebody who’s been able to rekindle a friendship that was really meaningful to him.” Lorre and Sheen had publicly fallen out with one another towards the end of Two and a Half Men, and the tensions have lingered in the years since the show ended.

Exclusive: I sit down for breakfast with Charlie Sheen not exactly knowing what to expect. His bookend episodes of Bookie that reunited him with Two And a Half Men‘s Chuck Lorre remind of what was lost after the actor’s inexplicable, substance-fueled “Tiger Blood” meltdown led to an abrupt parting of the ways and separating him from one of sitcom TV’s highest-ever salaries at a reported $1.8 million an episode. It has been a dozen years since then, and I come in harboring my own feelings. Basically, Two And a Half Men (the Charlie Harper Years) have been my reliable go-to at the end of most long days in the trenches. I can practically recite the dialogue along with Sheen, Jon Cryer, Angus T. Jones, as well as Holland Taylor (their mom), Melanie Lynskey (Charlie’s stalker), Marin Hinkle (Alan Harper’s ex), and the late Conchata Ferrell, who played the housekeeper Berta.

Jon Cryer‘s untitled pilot with executive producer Mike O’Malley (Heels), has officially been picked up to series, gaining a series order from NBC. This marks Cryer’s return to the multi-cam comedy format, which served him well during his 12 years on Two and a Half Men, where he won multiple Emmy awards for his performance as Alan Harper. Mike O’Malley (Credit: Vivien Killilea/Getty Images for Scad) The comedy is about a divorced couple, Jim (Cryer) and Julia (Abigail Spencer of Rectify), who decide to continue to live in the same house and raise their children so the kids can have one consistent home. Of course, their progressive arrangement takes a turn when Julia’s new boyfriend Trey (Donald Faison of Scrubs fame) enters the picture. He happens to be the coach of Jim’s favorite sports team, blurring boundaries even further. The cast will also include Finn Sweeney...

Jon Cryer is getting ready to return to primetime: The Two and a Half Men alum is in talks to star in an NBC comedy that is nearing a pilot order, our sister site Variety reports.
The untitled multi-cam comedy would star Cryer as Jim, who gets an amicable divorce from his wife Julia but continues living with her in their family home so they can both raise their kids and take turns taking care of them. Pregnancy announcements on television shows come in all shapes and forms. Sometimes, it’s a strong independent woman like Olivia Pope, who simply decides that she’s not cut out for motherhood. Other times, it’s Rachel Green, who keeps the identity of her baby’s father hidden, until everyone finds out in their own unique way. Through some of America’s greatest sitcoms, there have been a number of pregnancy announcements, some funnier than others. These are the very best of them: 10. For 12 seasons, Conchata Ferrell played sharp-tonged housekeeper Berta on CBS’ Two and a Half Men. Starting off as a recurring character in Season 1, Berta quickly became a fan favorite, and Ferrell became a series regular for the remainder of the sitcom’s long run on CBS, earning two Emmy nominations. Following Ferrell’s death at age 77, the creators and stars of Two and a Half Men are paying tribute to their former colleague and friend.
Co-creator/executive producer Chuck Lorre mourned the loss of Ferrell, recalling the time they worked together on the CBS comedy.
“We called her Chatty. And we all loved her,” Lorre said in a statement. “Twelve years of highs and lows, and lots and lots of laughter. Through it all she was a rock. One of the greats. I was privileged to call her a friend.”

Spoiler Alert: This article contains key details about tonight’s Season 4 finale of Supergirl on The CW.
The Season 4 finale of Supergirl packed quite a punch tonight as Melissa Benoist’s Girl of Steel finally squared off against Lex Luthor, the malevolent mastermind of Metropolis as played here by returning guest star Jon Cryer with condescending sneer and big-brain brio. The returning guest star had hinted in recent days that the finale would not only reveal the staggering breadth of Luthor’s evil plans but also illuminate the true depths of his hatred for Superman, Supergirl and all things Kryptonian. The episode, “The Quest for Peace,” (directed by Jesse Warn off a script by Rob Wright & Derek Simon) certainly delivered on that front. “He’s evil, I knew that, you knew that, but I was surprised at how far he takes it with his plans.”

The Man of Steel’s nemesis is finally coming to Supergirl this season. We found out back in November that Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer had landed the iconic role of Lex Luthor on The CW show – a left-field casting choice that many fans didn’t take to – and earlier today, we finally got our first look at Cryer in character as the supervillain.
Lex’s absence from the past few seasons has been explained by his being in jail, and it looks like that’s where we’ll find him when he first appears on Supergirl in episode 4×15 “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”, as the photo sees Cryer’s bearded Lex looking at us through a cell door. It promises a serious portrayal of the villain, too, something that’s won over those who were worried about the actor’s interpretation.

He's no Bryan Cranston, but take a look at "Two and a Half Men" star Jon Cryer, aka 'Alan Harper', who makes his debut as DC Comics villain 'Lex Luthor' in the fifteenth episode of "Supergirl", titled "O Brother, Where Art Thou?":
"...'Lex Luthor' attempts to enlist 'Lena' in a plan which will see him stop at nothing to get her on board, even if that means leveraging the life of one of her friends..."
"The character is not that dissimilar to what we've seen in canon," said "Supergirl" executive producer Jessica Queller.
"...a sparkle in his eye and smarter than everybody in the room, 12 steps ahead of everyone and just a large, delicious villain.
"He's the biggest supervillain we've had on the show, and his plans will kind of touch every character..
"...and impact the entire season moving forward once he arrives..."
