Howard Emanuel hails from southwestern Pennsylvania. He studied acting at NYU Tisch, and is a graduate of USC's Graduate Screenwriting Program. He co-wrote an indie feature Train Baby (available on Amazon) with Keith Powell ("Toofer" on 30 Rock) that starred Judy Reyes, Rich Sommer, and Adepero Oduye. Howard's theatrical work in NYC attracted talents ranging from the late, great icon Chita Rivera to Chloë Sevigny. In November 2020, Armie Hammer starred in an online production of Howard's play SUNDOGS, with the intention of bringing it to Broadway. Howard thinks Armie's involvement has aged super well. Prior to becoming disabled, Howard was a proficient tap dancer and was training for his black belt in Taekwondo. He lives in Los Angeles with his partner Joey.
