Aagaz Hai Naya
Ehsaas Koyi Jaga
Shareek Tu Mujhmein Hai

Yoon Itar Ki Tarah

Fiza Mein Mehkane Laga
Tu Hi Rab, Tu Hi Khuda
Tu Hi Lab, Tu Hi Duya
Tu Hi Sham, Tu Hi Subah
Oh Rehnuma, Oh Rehnuma
Tere Bina Main Jee Na Saku
Tere Liye Hi Sajde Karoon
Tu Hi Toh Hai Mere Dil Ki Tamana
Tere Bina Main Reh Na Saku
Oh Piya Re Maan Ja Re
Mujhko Yun Na Sata
Tere Dil Mein Jo Chhupa Hai
Karde Sab Tu Bayan
Tu Hi Mera Junoon Hai
Tu Khaabo Ka Kaarbaan
Ha Haan Tu Hi Mera Sukoon Hai
Hai Tujhse Roshan Jahaan

Over the years there have been many great martial artists coming from the East lighting up Hollywood with slick moves and brilliant action. Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota is the Indian equivalent of this with Abhimanyu Dassani playing the lead role and destroying the bad guys with his fearless and comical approach to action. This film already has a ton of acclaim having been played at two separate film festivals to rapturous audience reviews. However, music is a bit of a separate beast as a film can be very very good and struggle with a bad album especially for Indian audiences. So much rides on what Karan Kulkarni and Dipanjan Guha can achieve with this 8-song soundtrack.
Rappan Rappi Rap might open the album but it feels more like the ending credits song. All the characters are involved in an 80s style boogie with a few rap elements to keep it fresh.

At the time of Dusheera we remember the women in our lives and think about how they are devoted to love and family like Sita or how they are strong and independent like Durga. Bollywood films released at this time of year (and even more so this year) look to develop the strong women character but as is done in Namaste England, also explore what the male’s position is in this new age of neo-feminism. Baadshah, Mannan Shaah and Rishi Rich have been brought together to give a rousing soundtrack to this tale of love, marriage and support.
A relationship is always a balance between the need for each other and the distance that is required so people can individually achieve what they want. In this first song, Tere Liye, Atif Aslam screams out a power ballad backed only by synth drums and acoustic guitar about how the boy...

Stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra have unveiled the first song from the quintessential Bolly-romance and it was sure to be another tremendous hit. In fact it has hit over 12 million views, yes 12 million!
Titled ‘Tere Liye’, the track has been penned by lyricist Javed Akhtar with music by Mannan Shaah. What makes it even more special are the vocals by Atif Aslam as well as Akanksha Bhandari who have rendered the track beautifully.
Set against the colourful backdrop of Punjab, the song showcases the lead actors’ romantic journey and the unmistakable chemistry blooming between them.
The video depicts an endearing romance grow between Param (Arjun Kapoor) and Jasmeet (parineeti Chopra). Amidst lush green sunflower fields and the streets of London, the duo proclaim their unabashed love for one another.

Ar Rahman is a man of seemingly endless genius. Audiences always look forward to movies that he has penned music for whatever the language. Starting out with the illustrious Illaiyaraja and Mani Ratnam, he has brought his musical talents to the world stage. A flair and beauty in some ways that has not been seen since the time of Rd Burman. Mom follows the same familiar pattern on this path. Having just completed Mani Ratnam’s latest movie, as well as the English film Viceroy’s House, he has thrown himself into Mom, a film of a completely different kind and within its seemingly complex story line has found a soundtrack to perfectly fit it.
Let’s begin with O Sona Tere Liye. Without having seen the visual accompaniment to this song, it’s hard to tell what exactly the mood is for this song. Rahman himself teams up with Shashaa Tirupati,...

Superstar Sridevi’s journey in the Indian film industry has been nothing short of incredible. Starting off as a child artist, with a career spanning 50 years and 300 films, the gorgeous star’s cinematic offerings have always set benchmarks.
Given that Zee Studios & Boney Kapoor’s Mom , marks Sridevi’s 300th film, it just had to be special!
Apart from roping in powerhouse performers like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna, director Ravi Udyawar went on to bring Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and National award winning composer-song writer A R Rahman on board.
Composed by Rahman, the album of Mom boasts of 5 songs with lyrics by Irshad Kamil and is already touted to be one of the music genius’ finest albums, with each track being immensely different and unique from one another.
While O Sona Tere Liye has been sung by Rahman himself and already become immensely popular, what very few know is that the award winning musician, composed the song Muafi Mushkil, on his 50th birthday. After bringing in his birthday, the composer went straight to the studio to start work on the song, making this one truly special! Rahman has also roped in Palestinian singer Sana Moussa and went all out for over a year to work on the music of the film.
Says Ravi, “Music and the background score play a very important role in this film. I wanted to rely on sound to feel the emotions of my characters, to enhance the pause, to feel the lows along with the highs. With acclaimed music director A R Rahman I’m assured of speaking my scenes through music”.
Interestingly, A R Rahman also took on the mammoth challenge of composing the music of the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions of the film given that Mom will release in 4 languages, owing to Sridevi’s popularity.
Says producer Boney Kapoor, “What A R Rahman has managed to pull off is nothing short of spectacular. The music of Mom is one of his finest works. It has taken the film to new heights and will move audiences every step of the way.”
Says Bhushan Kumar ,We are happy to present the music of Mom , which is a special collaboration of talent. We are excited to work on a project that brings 2 legends like Sridevi and Ar Rahman together.
Produced By Zee Studios, Sunil Manchanda, Naresh Agarwal, Mukesh Talreja, Gautam Jain & Boney Kapoor , Mom releases 7th July, 2017 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

Hindi films are known for their romance and it is one of the reasons so many people fall in love with the heroes, the heroines and the films! We asked our writers to tell us what moments in Bollywood define love or romance to them, be it a song, a line, a look, or anything that makes you sigh thinking that is Love! So for Valentine’s Day we present what we think is Romance Bollyishstyle!
The One with the Tune and the Recording
We could not pick just one scene from the great Dil Toh Pagal Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. However, the two that stand out for our writers are:
That moment when Madhuri and Shah Rukh are in adjoining changing rooms in a clothing store, and Madhuri hears him whistle a tune. She later hears it again and knows it was meant to be!

Last Saturday, one of the most awaited events of the 16th London Asian Film Festival took place at the BAFTA. ‘Remembering Yash Chopra’ was a tribute to Bollywood’s legendary director, but also to the husband, father and friend.
The director’s widow Pamela Chopra was joined by Professor Rachel Dwyer and actor Anupam Kher to share with the audience some of the most salient events in the director’s career, as well as their most cherished memories.
The evening started with the screening of The Master Stroke, a documentary directed by Vinky Singh. Inspired by the nine rasas used in Indian art forms, the film explores Yash Chopra’s career from his first work to his last.
In probably the most emotional moment of the evening, a visibly moved Pamela Chopra went on stage while singing some verses of Veer Zaara’s Tere Liye as she gazed at her late husband’s image.
