An unlucky Wheel of Fortune contestant cost themselves a trip to Mexico after missing one tiny two-letter word from their spoken answer. Now many fans are saying that the ruling was “too tough” and “unfair.” Last Thursday’s (May 16) episode saw a face-off between Kerry Ruiz, a wellness studio co-owner from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Amanda Morris, a billiards player from Wilmington, North Carolina, and Dee Merritt, a Navy sexual assault response coordinator from Portsmouth, Virginia. During the Express Round, the three contestants were faced with a six-word “Phrase” puzzle that read, “_ N O _ _ / I T / O _ T / O F / T H E / _ _ _ _.” Merritt was first to take a guess at solving the puzzle, answering, “Knock it out the park.” At first glance her answer seemed completely correct to many viewers. But it wasn’t precise enough. “I’m sorry,” host Pat Sajak responded as the buzzer sounded to indicate Merritt was incorrect.

This year, several television shows have been canceled much to the chagrin of fans. Several of them were popular shows that still got good ratings. However, some of them also didn’t get proper endings. An example is CSI: Vegas, which will end with several cliffhangers. Another show this happened to was So Help Me Todd.
Fans have lashed out at the network about the show’s ending and here is what you need to know.
So Help Me Todd Ends Series With Cliffhanger
When CBS explained why it was canceling shows like Blue Bloods, the network said it needed to “freshen up” the schedule by adding new shows. That means some fan-favorite shows had to end. However, they also said that they wanted to allow the shows to end on notes that ended the stories.
That isn’t what happened all the time. CSI: Vegas is ending with cliffhangers...

The character of Dr. Carol Marcus (Bibi Besch) was introduced in Nicholas Meyer's 1982 film "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan." Dr. Marcus had invented a revolutionary terraforming technology called the Genesis Wave which could be fired into a planet and rearrange the entire world's ecosystem to make it livable. In "Khan," the technology was still untested, and Dr. Marcus was searching for a life-free planet -- sans even scant microbes -- to terraform. With her was her bitter son David (Merritt Butrick) who expressed quite openly how much he hated the formalism and military underpinnings of Starfleet. He would rather carry out scientific experiments with his mother in peace.
It would eventually be revealed that Dr. Marcus was an old lover of Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) and that David was actually Kirk's long-lost son. "Star Trek II" was at least partially devoted to Kirk reconnecting with Dr. Marcus,...

Nick Perkins was fast asleep when he got the call that his brother, Steve, 39, had been shot dead by police. The authorities weren’t the ones on the other end of the line — instead, it was Steve’s wife, Catrela, who had heard about the incident from a cousin, who had, in turn, received a call from Steve’s neighbor. Catrela had been a work at the time, on the late shift at a local auto plant.

Lil Tjay, born Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested Tuesday in New York City during an Instagram live session.
In the session, the 22-year-old rapper was talking to a police officer and telling him not to touch him.
“What’s in the car?” the young rapper asked the officer. “There’s no firearm in the car.”
A few seconds after, the cop told Merritt to turn around, so they could cuff him. The phone appeared to have been taken away from the “Calling My Phone” singer but continued recording as the camera turned to show multiple police officers surrounding him.
People in the background told the rapper, “Don’t fight, T,” and “Set an example, T.”
“TJay, it’s not real!” someone else said.
The live video session suggested that the rapper was arrested for possessing a firearm, but it has been reported that he was also arrested for reckless endangerment.

George Floyd’s Family Feel ‘Betrayed’ by Kanye West, as They Consider Suing Rapper and Candace Owens
An attorney for the family of George Floyd says the family feels “betrayed” by Kanye West’s false claim that the 46-year-old’s death was from fentanyl and not a police officer kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
Attorney Lee Merritt confirms to Rolling Stone that the Floyd family is considering pursuing a legal case against the rapper and says that he is also looking into whether ultra-right-wing pundit Candace Owens could be held liable as well, since West had plucked the debunked claim from her new Daily...
