Dale Deacon
- Casting Director
- Writer
- Casting Department
Dale grew up as one of a large, loving family in a small, Norman
Rockwell-esque town. Both of her parents, as well as her brothers and
sisters, were in the arts; Dad was a dancer and singer who owned and
ran a ballroom at which the Big Bands played (The Tommy Dorsey Band and
Glenn Miller Orchestra, to name a few), and Mom graduated from the
prestigious Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. Dale's siblings became
actors, fine and graphic artists, dancers and film and theater
technicians. Not surprisingly, Dale fell in love with the arts, acting
and all aspects of performance. She debuted as the nasty stepmother in
a 6th- grade production of "Cinderella". After graduating from Rowan
University with a B.A. in Speech/Theater/Dance, she dove head first
into the world of the professional performing artist. As an actor, Dale
has "done it all", including; theater, film, TV, industrials, web
series and voice over work. She has had formal training in all of these
disciplines as well. She has acted in professional repertory companies,
danced and sung professionally in musical theater, headlined in
prominent comedy clubs in the northeast U.S.(performing stand-up as
well as improv comedy) and toured as a professional mime, having
studied with Richmond Shepard and Carolyn O'Donnell. Dale's experience
in so many aspects of film, theater, TV and web series, rounds out a
very full resume'. Her love of acting and passion for the performing
arts has never diminished in the least and her level of professionalism
remains high, as does her love of life in general.
