Each one of FromSoftware and Hidetaka Miyazaki’s games is pretty hard for any gamer. And without a doubt, this difficulty is what attracts most gamers to these games. Most of the fans know this long journey started back in 2009 with a game called Demon’s Souls. A soulslike game, pure at heart, gives gamers the kind of challenge they have never experienced before.
It was not much of a success initially, but it became a cult hit eventually. Many suggested that this game never got the success it deserved. Maybe that’s why Sony gave this game another chance and tasked Bluepoint to develop a remake exclusively for the PlayStation 5 console. While it was a brilliant remake, developer Bluepoint also added a bunch of new things to it, but one of those was something called the Fractured Mode.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Gavin Moore, creative director of the Demon’s Souls PS5 remake, revealed that the game features over 180 help videos that can be easily accessed via the PlayStation 5’s impressive Ui system.
That’s a number that stands a testament to the potential of the PS5’s Game Help system, even as we wait to see whether or not more developers will ultimately choose to utilize that system over the long term. It’s also a number that could very well offer a somewhat unlikely solution to the debate over implementing an “Easy Mode” into Soulslike games.
You’ve probably heard some variation of this debate before, but the basic argument sees one group of gamers suggest that Soulslike games should feature difficulty options designed to make the infamously difficult titles more accessible. Opposing them is a group of gamers who feel that the...

We had a feeling that the Demon’s Souls remake would end up being one of the PS5’s best-looking early games, but the game’s latest trailer showcases just how gorgeous the project is and how much of the original experience has been rebuilt in order to take advantage of next-gen technology.
“It was essential to us that we recreated Demon’s Souls in such a way that longtime fans are transported back to the Boletaria they love,” says Gavin Moore, Creative Director, Sie Worldwide Studios External Development, via the PlayStation blog. “It’s the Boletaria that has been growing and maturing in their imaginations for over a decade. ..Even as we went back to the drawing board to build upon the original art, sound, music, and feel, our goal was always to remain true to the vision of the original classic – its story, gameplay, and level design. With this in mind,...

If you care about video games, then you’re probably not even reading this right now. Most likely, you’re deep inside of Grand Theft Auto V, living a life of excess and loving it. And now that GTA V’s online mode has finally overcome most of the bumps and is actually turning out to be pretty fun, all the more reason to stay inside its warm embrace. We’ll be talking about Rockstar’s triumphant return to the seedy underbelly of crime soon, but we wanted to highlight the amazing storytelling and whimsical design of Sony’s Puppeteer for the PlayStation 3. With the PlayStation 4 being introduced next month, this might represent one of the last great PS3 games. Despite the childlike art adorning the cover and the name, this is actually dark game: you play as Kutaro, a young boy who has been turned into a puppet and had his head torn off. While...

Launching as a PlayStation 3 exclusive this September is Japan Studio’s quirky and visually striking platformer, Puppeteer. And in a bid to get the community excited about the game, PlayStation.Blog posted this new video with Moore which you can check out below:
Even from this brief snippet, it’s clear that the studio have toiled arduously in order to craft the most memorable experience possible for Puppeteer. Japan Studio’s side-scroller tells the story of a young boy named Kutaro who, after literally losing his head to the Moon Bear King, is turned into a puppet and must journey across a dark and mysterious world in order to return home.

Sony has announced that Sce Japan Studio’s Puppeteer will launch for the PlayStation 3 as both a boxed retail product and digitally over the PlayStation Network on September 10, 2013. The announcement was made rather unceremoniously at Gdc this week by the game’s art director Gavin Moore, who showed a promotional trailer for the upcoming title to Joystiq and then plainly stated, “So that’s our release date.”
Man, Sony’s marketing team is really going low-key with their promotional efforts lately.
For those who have not been keeping up with the game since it was announced at Gamescom last August, Puppeteer has players take on the role of a young boy named Kutaro, who is captured by the Moon Bear King and turned into a living puppet. The tyrant King becomes displeased with Kutaro soon after the transformation, and is forced to do the only reasonable thing that a bear can do.
