Episode: “One Hundred Years is Nothing”
Plot: John Dutton is sworn in as Governor of Montana. As John settles into the power of his new office, he makes a bold move to protect the Yellowstone Ranch from his opponents.
Review: After the massive cliffhanger to the third season that left the fates of much of the Dutton clan up in the air, the fourth season of Yellowstone ended on a high note with Rip and Beth getting married and John Dutton declaring his candidacy for Governor of Montana. As the fifth season begins, the Dutton era begins as John takes the oath of office and the legacy of his ranch and his family is seemingly secured. But, now the question is whether or not John Dutton will make it through his four-year term unscathed. With a pulse-pounding two-hour premiere, Yellowstone is back with more wrangling, backstabbing, political machinations, and more.

Anyone who thinks Yellowstone is a conservative show probably never watched it, creator Taylor Sheridan says.
Sheridan made his comment in an interview with The Atlantic on the eve of the show’s fifth-season premiere on Paramount this Sunday. “They refer to it as ‘the conservative show’ or ‘the Republican show’ or ‘the red-state Game of Thrones, and I just sit back laughing,” he said.
“I’m like, ‘Really?’ The show’s talking about the displacement of Native Americans and the way Native American women were treated and about corporate greed and the gentrification of the West, and land-grabbing. That’s a red-state show?”
For those few who haven’t watched it, Yellowstone tells the Dutton family’s story, led by Kevin Costner in the role of John Dutton. The series follows the family interactions with local residents of their Montana ranch, which borders the Broken Rock Indian Reservation.

We are just days away from another Yellowstone series marathon on Paramount Network.

Oh, it's a glorious day indeed!
First, a refresher. How in the heck did Yellowstone Season 4 end?
There was a murder, an engagement, a wedding, a goodbye, a catfight, and the end of a quest.
Yellowstone Season 4 Episode 10 was chock full of action, adventure, romance, and opening and closing doors.
John and Beth were at loggerheads over her treatment of Summer, who, while somewhat annoying, didn't deserve to spend years in prison.
That argument, which John considered could have been because of his personal attraction to Summer, almost cost Beth her relationships with everyone she loves.
By doubling down on anger, Beth actually considered leaving the ranch, Rip, and Carter behind, in addition to her dad.
Rip's influence on Beth won out again, and Beth remained,...
