Season 21 of “Top Chef” premieres on Wednesday, March 20, with 15 brand new, talented cheftestants competing in Wisconsin for the title and the grand prize of $250,000, a feature in Food and Wine Magazine and an appearance at the 41st annual Food and Wine Classic in Aspen. MSNBC’s “The Culture Is” will be returning for another installment, this time focused on Latina women. The special will be hosted by “One Day at a Time” actress Justina Machado.
During the one-hour special, Machado will interview Rosie Perez and also hold a roundtable discussion with Julissa Arce, Gloria Estefan, Maria Hinojosa, Gloria Calderón Kellett, Bricia Lopez, Janel Martinez, Mónica Ramírez and Gina Torres.
The roundtable discussion topics include differences in Latina culture, the role of identity, the impacts of the Latina vote and more. Machado and her guests will discuss their experiences as Latinas in America and how those experiences shaped them personally and professionally.

After 12 grueling weeks in Houston, “Top Chef” Season 19 has finally come to an end, with a brand new contestant awarded the title of Top Chef.
The finale came down to three chefs: Houston native Evelyn Garcia, “Last Chance Kitchen” powerhouse Sarah Welch, and New York-based Australian chef Buddha Lo.
