Extracurricular is the latest horror film to come by way of Samuel Goldwyn Films. Director Ray Xue developed this picture, along with scriptwriters: Matthew Abrams and Padgett Arango. This film fan has seen Extracurricular recently. This release is a sober look at four youths, who think they can get away with murder. And, once you are on the path of bloodshed, it is hard for these characters to get off the killing train. Samuel Goldwyn Films will launch this film in the middle of January. Starring Luke Goss, Keenan Tracey (Polaroid), Spencer Macpherson (Brotherhood), Brittany Raymond (“Dare Me”) and Brittany Teo, Extracurricular will be available across the U.S., on Digital platforms, in just a few days. For more on the story and without revealing spoilers, Extracurricular focuses on four high-schoolers. They have come together, not for sports or home ec', but to plan out a killing. However, they are...

Samuel Goldwyn Films is set to release Ray Xue's horror/thriller Extracurricular on VOD platforms January 17, 2020. This marks Xue's first feature since 2012, when he directed the mystery drama Transcendent at the age of 18, while still in school. Extracurricular, a film about over-achieving high schoolers with a murder club, is reminiscent of the kind of nihilistic story Bret Easton Ellis likes to tell and features some deftly shot moments of horror. Let's hope it carries the same kind of satirical edge. The film follows four high school friends who have a secret pastime: planning and executing murders. But when one of their plans goes shockingly awry, the relationship between the group is put to the test. Extracurricular stars Keenan Tracey, Brittany Raymond, Spencer...

Extracurricular is a new horror film from production house September 17 Studio and director Ray Xue (Transcendent). It's got a Bret Easton Ellis vibe that I'm digging.
Samuel Goldwyn Films are set to menace us with the thriller on January 17th, when Extracurricular hits most online digital platforms.
The film was written by Matthew Abrams and Padgett Arango. Together, these filmmakers have created a unique horror film, one which brings several high-school students together for a common bloody purpose. Reminiscent of the Leopold and Loeb killers, Extracurricular’s story involves a murder-for-fun club, leading to one terrifying night.

"Did you see the look on that lady's face?!" Samuel Goldwyn Films has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror film titled Extracurricular, the latest feature from filmmaker Ray Xue (Transcendent). This horror-thriller originally premiered at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival last year, only now getting a direct-to-vod release in January for those still interested. Four overachieving high school students and best friends have a secret pastime: planning and executing murders (while wearing different masks). But when one of their plans goes shockingly awry, the relationship between them is put to the test. Starring Keenan Tracey, Brittany Raymond, Spencer Macpherson, Brittany Teo, Stephen Bogaert, Emmanuel Kabongo, and Luke Goss. This looks way darker than expected, not much comedy, nothing but murders. Here's the first official trailer (+ two posters) for Ray Xue's Extracurricular, direct from YouTube: Miriam, Derek, Ian, and Jenny are overachieving high school students and friends doing everything by the book.

Four high school seniors feel their day-to-day lives at school are getting a little dull. So they made a pact to plan and execute a series of perfect, elaborate murders and get some thrills behind them before heading off to college. However when their latest homicidal plan hits some unexpected speed bumps, the situation turns deadly, violent and bloody.
In the same vein as Tragedy Girls, Extracurricular essentially tells that same story as The Strangers (and a multitude of other home invasion/slasher movies) but from the perspective of the masked killers rather than their victims. That these killers happen to be a small group of high-school kids only adds to the depth of this particular tale… and one that...
