As disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein sat in a New York City courtroom learning of his guilty verdict on rape and sexual assault charges on Monday, his ex-wife Georgina Chapman was nowhere to be seen.
Weinstein, 67, was found guilty of a criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree and acquitted on three other charges, according to The New York Times.
Chapman, 43, who married the disgraced producer in 2007 and announced their split in 2017, has kept a low-profile since he was accused of victimizing more than 80 women. The two reached a divorce settlement in January 2018.

She's taking a red carpet stand! Scarlett Johansson made headlines after she selected a Marchesa dress to wear to the 2018 Met Gala on Monday night. For the glittering gala, the 33-year-old opted for a romantic off-the-shoulder burgundy dress with a tulle skirt and floral appliqués—but it wasn't the design that got people talking it was the designer. The label is designed by Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman, the estranged wife of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. Marchesa has been noticeably absent on all major red carpets in the wake of the Weinstein sexual assault scandal—so Johansson' choice to go with the label at such a high-visibility event was definitely a...

Scarlett Johansson has officially ended Hollywood’s red carpet blackout of Marchesa, the high-end womenswear brand co-founded by Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife, Georgina Chapman.
Johansson opted to wear a Marchesa gown to Monday night’s Met Gala, making a loud statement in one of the evening’s most understated dresses. The “Avengers” star explains that she wore Marchesa because she wanted to show her support for the two women behind the brand, Chapman and co-founder Keren Craig.
“I wore Marchesa because their clothes make women feel confident and beautiful, and it is my pleasure to support a brand created by two incredibly talented and important female designers,” Johansson said in a statement to Variety, making no mention of Weinstein, who she worked with on 2008’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.”
Johansson’s reps tell Variety that the actress approached Chapman and Craig months ago about dressing her for the Met Gala.

After the Harvey Weinstein scandal erupted last fall, the disgraced Hollywood mogul has retreated from the spotlight and separated from his wife, designer Georgina Chapman.
With their divorce pending, the future of Chapman’s Marchesa fashion line (launched with partner Keren Craig in 2004) has been unclear.
Marchesa runway shows have been a mainstay at New York Fashion Week over the past decade, but this year the brand has canceled the February runway show, People has confirmed.
However, while the label will not be having a typical show, it will be debuting a Fall 2018 line in a new format.

For Harvey Weinstein‘s soon-to-be ex-wife, it’s (almost) business as usual.
Georgina Chapman and her Marchesa and Marchesa Notte co-creator Keren Craig released 38 new looks from the label’s pre-fall 2018 collection amid Chapman’s multi-million dollar divorce agreement from the disgraced movie mogul.
Previewed by Women’s Wear Daily, the lookbook is proof that Chapman, 41, will not be taking a hiatus from her brand and will indeed continue on with the current season’s fashion schedule.
However, the fashion house did not to hold press appointments for both Marchesa and Marchesa Notte as brands do usually, according to Wwd.

Georgina Chapman’s Marchesa fashion line will be returning to the New York Fashion Week runway in February for the first time since news broke of sexual harassment allegations against her estranged husband, film mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Chapman separated from Weinstein not long after the allegations of sexual harassment and assault broke as she was presenting the brand’s bridal collection, and has remained in hiding since, with the brand conspicuously absent from red carpets and its spring/summer preview canceled. But Page Six reports that Marchesa, which has been worn on the red carpet by dozens of stars, will...

She said yes to the dress and nothing was going to change her mind — even one of the biggest scandals of the year.
Meghan McCain, The View co-host and daughter of Sen. John McCain, married conservative pundit Ben Domenech last week wearing her dream Marchesa wedding dress. And even though the brand got wrapped up in the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandal a month before the wedding (co-designer Georgina Chapman was married to the disgraced movie mogul for 10 years), McCain maintains that dropping the designer never even crossed her mind.

Hours after making the emotional statement that she is leaving disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, designer Georgina Chapman remains “very, very upset,” a source tells People.
The decision to leave Weinstein, 65, after more than a dozen women have stepped forward to accuse the producer of explosive sexual harassment and assault allegations in the past week, was not easy, but Chapman, 41, is being cared for by her friends and family.
“Georgina is very loved. Many people very much care about her. She won’t be going though this alone,” the source adds. “It was her decision to separate. For every day,...

On Sunday night, all the best and brightest of Hollywood came out to celebrate another year of exceptional filmmaking, and to a lesser but no less fascinating extent, another season of spectacular couture. But while all the usual red carpet darlings were there in full force, there was another Oscar-nominated style star in attendance worthy of special recognition for her show-stopping dress and that’s Octavia Spencer. And to explain just what made the actress’s dress so unique, the designers behind the Hidden Figures star gown spoke to People exclusively to explain how her custom silver creation came to be.

Designers get inspiration from anywhere and everywhere. Just ask Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig of Marchesa. "I get inspiration from art galleries, paintings and the women that I dress," said Georgina. The designing duo also works with mood boards for every project, including their most recent—a partnership with Stella Artois to create a dreamy Oscars gown for Olivia Culpo. A closer look at the mood board for this specific dress and you will see that the idea for Olivia's Oscars look came from one main source in particular. "Our concept for the dress is to really evoke the mood of water—so the idea is to use beads that feel like they're reflecting light as if they were...

Fashion and technology have found the perfect marriage in Karolina Kurkova's 2016 Met Gala look. Clad in custom Marchesa, the supermodel's dress is layered with hidden wiring—a nod to this year's theme, Manus x Machina, also known as "wearable technology." The technical elements are disguised by hand-sewn arrangements of ivory flowers adorning the strapless sheer gown. However, as the blond beauty poses along the famous Met Gala steps, the dress will suddenly turn different colors. As designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig described to E! News' Zanna Roberts Rassi, the flowers will work as a technical reflection of how people feel about the dress in real...
