Paradigm has hired Kyle Jensen as a Literary Content Agent and Jamie Kaye-Phillips as a Theatre Literary Content Agent, upping Matthew Nutty from Coordinator to Agent in the Talent department.
Additionally, Napoli Management Group, a division of Paradigm Media Entertainment, has tapped Brian Neal as an agent. A 23-year veteran of the television news industry, he’ll in his new role rep all levels of on-air talent in the national broadcast news space.
Jensen and Nutty will be based out of the agency’s Los Angeles office, with Kaye-Phillips working out of New York. Where Neal will be based is not yet clear.
The hirings follow December’s announcement that Todd Eisner, a 30-year veteran talent agent, had joined Paradigm from the now-folded A3. Over the past year, Paradigm has been staffing up with the hires of Chris Till and Neil A. Cohen, as well as internal promotions, having elevated 14 agents to Partner.

How It Ends is in no vague terms an absolute bore of cinematic expression. It is two hours of drab, tiresome moments with sparse originality that I can only describe as torture. I’d even suggests the title itself a sick meta/ self-aware pun at the expense of its unaware audience. As you may have surmised, How It Ends is explicitly horrifying to endure.
Performances are monotone and one-note, leaving little to no development of engagement available to connect with the characters present. A strikingly bungled feature on the films part considering the impact needed to convey the terrifying scenario unfolding with the so-called tense atmosphere and lukewarm horror the characters must progress through, yet with insufficient character development...

Nostalgia is ruling the entertainment industry with reboots and remakes being frequently announced. Now word has spread that another iconic character is returning to the big screen: John Rambo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a “Rambo” reboot is being developed by Nu Image/Millennium Films. The project, still in its early stages, is titled “Rambo: New Blood” and will have “The Criminal” helmer Ariel Vromen as director. Brooks McLaren is penning the script. Sylvester Stallone, who starred in the 1980s franchise, will not be starring and the studio is looking to cast a new, younger actor as the action hero.
No additional plot details were revealed, only that the company is looking to treat Rambo as a character akin to James Bond.

John Rambo is bound for the big screen once more only this time, a new actor (actress?) will be filling the role made famous by Sylvester Stallone.
It’ll be titled Rambo: New Blood and will, according to The Hollywood Reporter, be directed by Ariel Vromen. Brooks McLaren (How It Ends) has been tapped to flesh out a screenplay, with the idea being that Nu Image/Millennium Films are treating Rambo “as a character akin to James Bond.” As such, expect a younger actor to take up arms as the troubled Vietnam War veteran turned one man army.

While Stallone has definitely made his mark on the film industry in many ways, it goes without saying that the two roles he’s best known for are Rocky Balboa and John Rambo. Both franchises contain far too many movies than was ever necessary, and in the 2000s, Stallone revisited both franchises for what was supposed to be one final go. These "final" movies were respectively entitled Rambo and Rocky Balboa. Both were relative high points for their franchises in terms of quality, and gave some pretty good closure on these decades-old characters.
Of course, we now know that Rocky would return in Creed, a film that many consider to be almost on par with the original Rocky, and now it sounds like we may be seeing John Rambo return to the silver screen yet again — except with one key change.

Of course there's a Rambo reboot on the way. Get ready for Rambo: New Blood - and Sylvester Stallone won't be in the title role.
Get ready for a Rambo reboot on the big screen.
Rambo: New Blood is in development, with Ariel Vroman (Criminal, 2012's excellent The Iceman) directing from a script by Brooks McLaren. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, and their sources indicate that the plan is for John Rambo to be a kind of James Bond figure, which presumably means as a character that can support an endless procession of sequels and re-casting through the years. Good luck replacing Sylvester Stallone in this one, and good luck taking a character so tied to America's post-Vietnam trauma and Reagan-era action movie patriotism and bringing him into the 21st Century.

Say it ain't so! Nu Image and Millennium Films are planning a reboot of the classic action film franchise Rambo. I'm a huge fan of Rambo and I've been waiting to see if Sylvester Stallone would ever make that fifth installment of the franchise, but it looks like that's dead now.
The worst part of the news is that Stallone will not be a part of the reboot. According to THR, this film will "see a younger actor inhabit the role. The company is looking at Rambo as a character akin to James Bond." Stallone is Rambo and replacing him with a new actor just seems utterly ridiculous.
The reboot will be called Rambo: New Blood and the production company has hired Brooks McLaren (Xoxo) to write the script and Ariel Vromen (Criminal) to direct the movie.
There are no plot details to share right now but I imagine they...

One man army John Rambo is poised for a return the big-screen. Nu Image/Millennium Films is plotting a reboot of the classic 1980s action franchise that starred Sylvester Stallone, tapping Brooks McLaren to pen the script and Ariel Vromen to direct the feature. A two-day meeting of entertainment leaders hosted by Sundance Institute and Women In Film Los Angeles has come up with four key ‘conversation strategies’ to solve gender disparity in Hollywood.
The four points include resolutions to: advocate ‘Unconscious Bias’ training across the industry; and develop and launch a Gender Parity Stamp to recognise films and television shows — as well as production companies, networks and studios — that show measurable progress to achieving gender equity.
The final two ideas are: a sponsor/protégé programme; and a resolution by ambassadors from the industry leaders who attended the October session to spread the word about the solutions to studios, networks and agencies.

Variety has learned that The Perfect Guy’s David M. Rosenthal has closed a deal to helm action thriller How It Ends for Sierra Pictures.
Working from a script from Brooks McClaren, the director’s latest project is set against the end of days. When an apocalyptic event inexplicably brings the nation to its knees, a young father goes through Hell and high water in order make it home to his pregnant wife, who just so happens to be on the other side of the country.
Developing and financing the project is Sierra Pictures, while Paul Schiff Productions are attached to produce – a responsibility the banner will leverage with Sierra’s executive producer Nick Meyer. Meanwhile, Sierra/Affinity will handle international sales of the apocalyptic drama and love story.
