The loss of actor Chance Perdomo in March from a motorcycle accident was devastating to fans. Such a young talent Perdomo was, the impact of his death was felt throughout the industry. It, too, brought up the question of what would become of his character on The Boys spin-off Gen V. Now, a decision has been made over Perdomo and Gen V, and it’s probably just what fans were expecting and hoping.
Producers posted the following statement on the official Gen V Instagram: “As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory. We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to refract our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.

Weeks before his death on March 30, the star of “The Boys” spin-off “Gen V” Chance Perdomo revealed the role on “The Boys” that he auditioned for — and failed to snag. While speaking on actor Michael Rosebaum’s podcast “Inside Of You,” Perdomo said, “I auditioned for Huey on ‘The Boys,’ and I don’t think I got close. But I remember reading it and being like, ‘I absolutely love everything about this.'”
Earlier in the interview, Perdomo said that he’d also auditioned for the role of Jughead Jones on “Riverdale” — a role that ultimately went to Cole Sprouse. “I didn’t get that, but I was close,” he said. “It was one of my first auditions. I think it was between me and three other people, or three or five.”
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa remembered his audition, however, and “wrote [his ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ character] Ambrose with me in mind.

The TV tradition of opening credits may be dying out in some corners, but it is alive and well on “Yellowjackets” (unlike many characters who survive the show’s initial plane crash).
The Showtime drama updated its title sequence for Season 2, with glimpses of upcoming episodes and new cast members Simone Kessell and Lauren Ambrose. Many shots remain the same; stock footage of teen athletes and parties, the antler queen silhouette, and of course the iconic shot of Jackie (Ella Purnell) drawing her finger across her throat — but the replacements and additions will give “Yellowjackets” fans plenty to pore over.
For starters, there’s this note — which quickly cuts to a queen from a deck of cards that someone appears to be lighting on fire. That all happens while Lauren Ambrose’s name is on screen, followed by figure in a reddish dress (adult Lottie??) carrying a large hunting knife.

Get out your snow boots: the full "Yellowjackets" season two trailer is finally here, and the titular soccer team have a major new problem to face. On Jan. 13, Showtime released the first preview of the season, in which the team deal with the reality of the harsh winter of 1996, which means tons and tons of snow. And in the present day, the adults are still struggling to make sense of what happened out there and how it affects their current lives.
Then on March 9, the network dropped the second season two trailer, which is set to Florence and the Machine's new single "Just a Girl" - a cover of No Doubt's 1995 song of the same name. The new promo teases the darkness the team endured in the wilderness, which still follows them 25 years later. "I thought we left it there when we were rescued," a horrified adult...

Yellowjackets season 2 is scheduled to begin airing on Showtime on March 26th, and with those dates just a couple weeks away a full trailer for the new season has arrived online! You can check it out in the embed above.
Playing over the clips from Yellowjackets season 2 is a cover of the No Doubt song “Just a Girl”, performed by Florence + The Machine, produced by Florence Welch and Mark Bowen of Idles. The cover was recorded specifically for the Showtime series. Welch provided the following statement to Deadline: “I’m such a huge fan of Yellowjackets and this era of music, and this song especially had a huge impact on me growing up, so I was thrilled to be asked to interpret it in a deeply unsettling way for the show. We tried to really add some horror elements to this iconic song to fit the tone of the show.

The Yellowjackets have brought back the darkness.
The trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Showtime’s hit survival drama Yellowjackets features the adult characters having a realization: There was something dark out there in the wilderness — and they brought it home and are still dealing with it 25 years later.
In its first season, Yellowjackets followed two timelines: the past, when a plane crash left the high school soccer team, called the Yellowjackets, stranded in the wilderness for 19 months in 1996; and the present, to show how the survivors — played by Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Tawny Cypress and Christina Ricci — are doing 25 years later.
The trailer shows how the second season will push forward in both timelines. But this season, the show will also pop into the new timeline of 19 months after the crash, when the young characters are saved and begin to unpack the trauma from their time in the woods.
