Bill Cosby‘s wife, Camille, has been sent a letter from the mother of a woman counted among the 33 women accusing the comedian of sexual misconduct. Judy Thompson told the Associated Press she sent Camille the letter three weeks ago in order to communicate “mother to mother.” Her now 44-year-old daughter, Jennifer Thompson, claims Cosby paid her $700 after pressuring her to give him a handjob in his home in 1988. Ad agency Ddb New Zealand has produced a TV ad for McDonald’s that is to run in both Australia and New Zealand.
The ad, which features a over-sized version of popular board game Monopoly in a city centre, introduces McDonald’s Monopoly Millionaire promotion.
Maccas has been using a rotation policy for its creative agencies, choosing between the Sydney and Auckland offices of Ddb, and occasionally Leo Burnett Sydney – which it added to the roster last year.

Westpac in New Zealand has followed up a campaign that invited kiwis to start asking questions about their money with a comedy ad introducing a group of ageing flatmates still forced to share because they haven’t got a home of their own yet.
The ad from Ddb Nz was directed by Tim Bullock, one of agencies’ favourite choices for directing funny commercials.
One question the bank has been asked through its Facebook app is: ‘What do I need for a house of my own?’

The agency won top honours for the second year running. However, rival Gpy&R Melbourne – which won more lions at Cannes this year than any Australian agency – did not enter for the second consecutive year. Last year, Patts Ecd Ben Coulson cited cost reasons for not supporting the event, which is Melbourne’s top awards show.
