In the new episodes Taffer ventures to California, Colorado, North Carolina, and Idaho to help entrepreneurs with their businesses. As ever he is joined by his team of experts, and this season also enlists the help of Maria Menounos, as well as Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton and Miami Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb. Here Taffer sits down to reflect on past seasons of his hit series and looks forward to the future. When bar expert Jon Taffer, the reality tv star of Bar Rescue, arrives on the scene, you already know a failing bar doesn’t have much time to turn things around. Most episodes start when an inexperienced bar owner calls Jon for help before having to close their doors for good.
In just a few days, Taffer and his team work tirelessly to turn the bar around, sometimes giving it a new name, a complete remodel, and a brand new menu.
But not every episode is a success story. For every bar that’s saved, there are plenty more that fail after Jon leaves. In fact, some bars have even been featured on multiple episodes of Bar Rescue because they just couldn’t get it together.
According to Reality TV Updates, 48 of bar owners took the advice from Jon Taffer, saved their struggling bar, and are still in business in 2022.

It’s hard to figure out, but reality TV still confuses a lot of people when it comes to deciphering whether it’s real or not, or if it’s entirely staged. Bar Rescue is just one of many shows that people have found appealing over the years, and it’s not hard to figure out why since a lot of people enjoy a night out at the bar, and finding out more about a favorite pastime is sometimes interesting. The things that are seen in the failing bars that the host and entrepreneur, Jon Taffer, view in the show are authentic at times

Jon Taffer, longtime bar and nightclub expert and host of Paramount Network’s “Bar Rescue,” has apologized for stating that “a hungry dog is an obedient dog” while speaking about American restaurant employees receiving Covid-19 unemployment benefits on “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News. Taffer suggested to host Laura Ingraham that these workers were being incentivized to laze about rather than find employment again.
Taffer, who has fronted “Bar Rescue” for eight seasons and counting, took to Twitter and other platforms today after the segment aired last night, stating that his comment “was an unfortunate attempt to express a desire for our lives to return to normal.”

“Bar Rescue,” the bar makeover show born just a handful of years after the Great Recession, is now entering its eighth season — and hitting a milestone 200th episode — as a battered hospitality business once again attempts to emerge from another economic downturn, this time caused by the devastating Covid-19 pandemic.
Host and executive producer Jon Taffer says to expect the upcoming season on Paramount Network to be an emotional one — “more emotional than any other we’ve done in the past because these people aren’t failures. Successful unscripted shows can inspire a lot of competitors. Sometimes, these competitors are so similar that there is no point to watch them rather than their source of inspiration. Other times, these competitors make certain changes that are significant but not too significant, thus enabling them to stand out from their source of inspiration. For an excellent example, consider Bar Rescue, which can be considered a bar-themed version of Kitchen Nightmares. Tequila rocks at Hollywood events. Some prefer it neat. Nightlife entrepreneur Rande Gerber recommends his (with George Clooney) Casamigos brand on the rocks. Icy tequila can be refreshing and cinematic: the frozen margarita got its due in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s” brazen finale. Although there is a surplus of Piper-Heidsieck champagne for toasting, guests at the Oscars Governor’s Ball depend on sponsor Don Julio tequila to enhance the celebratory night.
