- Perci Intalan (also known as Percival M. Intalan or Perci M. Intalan) is an internationally awarded Producer/Director/Writer of film and television productions. He is the President of The IdeaFirst Company, a film studio based in the Philippines, and is the President of the Entertainment Producers of the Philippines (EPOP).
In 2014, he directed his first feature-length film, "Dementia," which won Best Foreign Language Film and Best Actress in a Foreign Language Film at the 2015 St. Tropez International Film Festival, a Gold Remi Award at the 48th WorldFest in Houston, and has screened in film festivals in Portugal and New York. The movie also won numerous awards in the Philippines including Best Picture and Best Director awards from the 17th Gawad Pasado, an award-giving body composed of educators in the country. By 2018, he directed "Distance," which was selected for competition at the 14th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival and exhibition at the Asian Future section of the Tokyo International Film Festival. He also directed "My Fairy Tail Love Story," "Born Beautiful," "Unforgettable," "LiveScream" and one of the stories in the popular film trilogy "Shake Rattle & Roll XV." His most recent film, "Mahal Kita, Beksman" was invited to screen at the 2023 International Film Festival Rotterdam and was the opening film of both the Queer East Festival in London and the Melbourne Queer Film Festival.
Perci is also the Executive Producer of numerous internationally-awarded films like "Bwakaw" (winner of numerous local and international awards and citations, was screened at festivals in New York, Toronto, Vesoul, Tokyo and Hawaii, and was selected as the official Philippine Entry in the Best Foreign Language Film Category of the 85th Academy Awards), "Barber's Tales" (which won awards in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Italy), "Anino Sa Likod ng Buwan" (winner in Russia and India) "Die Beautiful" (winner in Tokyo and selected in festivals in Italy, the UK, the USA), "Big Night" (which won almost all the major awards at the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival) and "About Us But Not About Us" (Best Film Critics' Picks at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and won the major awards at the 1st Summer MMFF).
