I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Fox really did end Gotham just in time. As much as I enjoyed that particular prequel series, I must readily admit that The CW’s Batwoman would be handcuffed in a sense if Gotham were still around, because the freshman show would be limited to which villains it could utilize. But with Fox’s series now behind us, the door is open for a myriad of evildoers to terrorize the Arrowverse.
As you may have heard, Batwoman is to thank for bringing Hush’s first live action adaptation to life. Oh sure, a teenage Tommy Elliott did appear on Gotham, but that’s not quite the same thing as a full-on Batman villain. Similarly, Magpie has been confirmed to pop up in the fourth episode.
Thanks to TV Line, we can present this first look at actress Rachel Matthews...

For years, I’d naturally assumed that Gotham would employ the use of a stuntman when rolling out its version of Batman in the eventual series finale. As it turns out, recent news has revealed my educated guess to be both correct and incorrect.
You see, even though the concluding episode is set to take place ten years into the future, the creative minds behind the show likely feel it’s their duty to assure that David Mazouz ultimately feature as the Caped Crusader in some capacity. As such, it was revealed at the Television Critics Association press tour yesterday how the young actor will be seen under the mask, and that he’ll debut his “Batman growl.”
Now, we’re learning that camera trickery will be utilized in order to achieve the desired effect. In other words, the 5’8 Mazouz will be shown in closeups, while a 6’4 fellow will be...

Over the past few years, I’ve repeatedly commended Gotham for bringing a host of Batman villains who’ve never been adapted to live action to the small screen. To list off a few, the likes of Hugo Strange, Professor Pyg, Flamingo, Electrocutioner and Azrael can now say they’ve been welcomed into the same living rooms as Penguin, Riddler, Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.
Next week, we’ll be able to add Magpie to that tally, believe it or not. Previously, most of her mainstream exposure had come via Beware the Batman, a wonderful CGI-animated series that was cut short after only one season.
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait until then to see Sarah Schenkkan suit up as Magpie because the network has released a generous helping of promo images from her debut episode, “13 Stitches.” On the downside, she’s in only one of them, but it...

Set to be played by Sarah Schenkkan, this freshly released synopsis for “13 Stitches” gives us our first hint at what to expect from the femme fatale:
